New York City officials tonight issued a desperate appeal for calm after revealing that a Harlem resident has been diagnosed with Ebola. Infected doctor Craig Spencer, 33, rode three subways, went for a jog, ate out, went bowling, and rode in an Uber cab the day before he tested positive for the deadly virus. However, Mayor Bill de Blasio addressed the city tonight to insist that the probability of any subway users becoming infected is ´close to nil´. He revealed the CDC has been working with the city´s health workers for weeks for fear of an outbreak, and a back-up

Appearing at a Boston rally for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Martha Coakley on Friday, Hillary Clinton told the crowd gathered at the Park Plaza Hotel not to listen to anybody who says that “businesses create jobs.” “Don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses create jobs,” Clinton said. “You know that old theory, ‘trickle-down economics,’” she continued. “That has been tried, that has failed. It has failed rather spectacularly.” “You know, one of the things my husband says when people say ‘Well, what did you bring to Washington,’ he said, ‘Well, I brought arithmetic,’” Clinton said, which elicited loud laughs

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush reportedly told South Carolinians that Fox News annoys him. Bush, a potential 2016 establishment Republican presidential candidate who has already come under fire for his support of amnesty legislation, Common Core, and potential tax increases, reportedly made his remarks in the first-in-the-South primary state on Thursday. He was in South Carolina to meet with activists and campaign for Republican Governor Nikki Haley. According to a CNN report, "Bush expressed annoyance with the polarizing fights and constant negativity of the political news media--he singled out Fox News, saying he usually watches the channel for a few

AUSTIN, Texas -- On Thursday, a federal judge in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia entered an order dismissing a lawsuit filed by True the Vote, a Houston, Texas-based non-profit organization focused on "voters’ rights and election integrity" against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The order alleged that the IRS had improperly delayed granting their application for 501(c)(3) status and targeted them as a conservative organization. The opinion, by Judge Reggie B. Walton, found that the IRS had taken sufficient "remedial steps to address the alleged behavior."

MIAMI — Black voters’ disappointment with President Barack Obama, who they so eagerly embraced for so many years, could be costly on Election Day to Democrats, who badly need a big African-American turnout to win Senate and gubernatorial races in key states. Instead, many African-Americans see an unemployment rate well above the national average, continuing problems with crime in many neighborhoods, and a president more interested in trying to help other voting blocs that didn’t give him such unwavering support. The preparedness of New York City officials and workers to deal with Ebola has once again left much to be desired as a HazMat team sent in to decontaminate the apartment of Craig Spencer, the first person to contract the deadly virus in the city, was seen leaving his apartment with sealed barrels, but wearing no protective gear. The men were photographed exiting the apartment without gloves, face masks, or anything else to protect them as they loaded the barrels with possibly contaminated goods into the back of a truck. In fact, one man had something dangling out of his

RUSH: Carol Costello, my former stalker at CNN. She has a corner on the market on laughing at things. Did you hear what happened? Did you hear what she... (interruption) Yeah. And this is so classic. This is just typical. What happened was Bristol Palin, the daughter of Sarah Palin, got beat up. She basically got beat up and ended up calling the cops, and Carol Costello at CNN just thought it was the greatest news that she´d ever heard. Oh, yeah, Carol talked about this as being something that we hadn´t enjoyed in a long, long time. Here, grab audio

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin spent the early part of the 2014 midterms traveling the country endorsing conservative candidates in Republican primary races, hoping to leave her mark on the future of the GOP. But on Wednesday, Palin rebuked her Republican successor in her home state, endorsing independent gubernatorial candidate Bill Walker, who is running on a "unity ticket" with Democratic running mate Byron Mallott, instead. Palin´s endorsement goes against her former lieutenant governor, Gov. Sean Parnell, who assumed office in 2009 when Palin abruptly resigned and is embroiled in a highly contested race for reelection to a second full term.

JACKSON, Mississippi -- The Mississippi Supreme Court said Friday that it won´t revive an election challenge by a candidate who lost a Republican primary to Sen. Thad Cochran. Three justices agreed with Cochran´s attorneys, who said state Sen. Chris McDaniel waited too long to challenge Cochran´s victory in the June 24 primary runoff. A fourth justice, Michael Randolph, sided with Cochran, but for a different reason: He said courts should not be involved in deciding a political dispute over who votes in party primaries. The 4-2 Supreme Court ruling was handed down three weeks after justices heard oral arguments. Three justices did not
