Before he managed to oust three deserving governors from the 2016 presidential race, I welcomed what Mr. Trump brought to the table. He dared to bring up issues that needed to be discussed but had been ignored by the mainstream media. His blunt responses to crises was a refreshing breath of air to the normally political doublespeak mouthed by candidates. Most of those who first supported Trump would tell me, "I wouldn´t vote for him but I like what he has to say." Now the unthinkable has happened. They now view Trump as someone they could support. Mercy.

This Thanksgiving, the Obama administration wants Americans to talk about why Congress won’t pass more gun control – but not about Obama’s foreign policy failures. During the White House press briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earnest continued to press a narrative set up by gun control activists in response to the terrorist attacks in Paris. “As people sitting around the Thanksgiving table talking about these issues as they should and I’m sure they will all across the country, I hope that’s a question that will be raised and asked by members around the table,” Earnest said, referring to a bill supported

Columbus, Ohio- Donald Trump said Monday that he witnessed people jumping out of the Twin Towers on 9/11 from the view in his apartment. "Many people jumped and I witnessed it, I watched that. I have a view -- a view in my apartment that was specifically aimed at the World Trade Center," Trump said Monday during a rally in Columbus, Ohio. "And I watched those people jump and I watched the second plane hit ... I saw the second plane hit the building and I said, ´Wow that´s unbelievable,´" Trump continued. At least 200 people are believed to have

Florida Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) stated that the US should “respond and defend Turkey if they come under assault from the Russians” on Tuesday’s “Happening Now” on the Fox News Channel. Rubio stated, “Turkey is a member of the NATO alliance, and so, if the NATO alliance is to remain vibrant, then we we have to live up to our commitments in that alliance. We can’t decide that we’re not going to work on behalf of one of these countries. Do we have concern about things that are happening in Turkey? I absolutely do. Erdogan

Since it’s evidently kosher to cite entirely impressionistic memories of 9/11 as though they were fact — given that this is what Donald Trump has done by making a three-day news story out of his claim that thousands of people celebrated the destruction of the Twin Towers in New Jersey — here’s what I remember. I was living in Brooklyn Heights. I was working as a columnist for the New York Post. I usually worked at home but in the weeks after the attack I came into the office. And believe me, everybody heard tales about celebrating in New Jersey.

Mayor Bill de Blasio said today that he “absolutely” believed the college his son Dante attends at Yale University, Calhoun College, should be renamed—and that his son has been involved in the protests at the Ivy College that have made headlines nationwide. “I think he’s very concerned and he certainly notes the fact that the college he’s in, Calhoun College, is named for someone it shouldn’t be named for. That’s quite evident to him,” Mr. de Blasio told reporters today. “You can imagine that as a young man of African descent, it doesn’t feel particularly appropriate to live in a

American forces made one of their most effective hits against the Islamic State on Nov. 15, when U.S. planes destroyed 116 tanker trucks used by the terrorist organization to transport the stolen oil that is its financial lifeblood. American A-10 and C-130 warplanes targeted a group of about 300 trucks near Abu Kamal, in Syria. Given that the Islamic State is thought to have just over 1,000 trucks in its entire fleet, the group of 300 represented a huge target for U.S. planes. At a Pentagon news conference last Wednesday, reporters wanted to know why American forces did not take

Analyst at U.S. Central Command were pressured to ease off negative assessments about the Islamic State threat and were even told in an email to “cut it out,” Fox News has learned – as an investigation expands into whether intelligence reports were altered to present a more positive picture. (Snip) The former Pentagon official said there were “multiple assessments” from military intelligence and the CIA regarding the “rapid rise” of ISIS in Iraq and North Africa in the year leading up to the group’s territory grab in 2014. PC: The only thing more reliable than radical Muslims carrying out terrorist acts is Democrats denying any religious link after an attack, followed by attempts to scrub crime scenes of all evidence of Islam. Hillary Clinton is the latest suspender of disbelief regarding radical Islam´s long-running and deep-rooted role in terrorism. Just days after eight Muslims belonging to the Islamic State massacred 130 Parisians while praising Allah, the Democratic front-runner schooled the Council on Foreign Relations on the non-Muslim threat. "Let´s be clear," Clinton lectured. "Muslims have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism." If by "nothing," she means everything, she is correct. Within hours of

President Obama, a ‘tortured genius’

A U.S. Navy SEAL teammate and friend once described the worst type of leader as a “tortured genius.” By this, he did not mean the artist or musician suffering from inspired hysteria, but someone who, no matter how obvious the failing or how fair and valid the criticism, accepts no blame and denies all responsibility. In the mind of such a leader, the rest of the world simply can’t see the “genius” in what they do. In truth, this type of leader lives in denial of the facts as they are, rationalizing actions and refusing to alter or adapt strategies to win. To such a person, maintaining the illusion that he is right is somehow more important
