Appearing at a Boston rally for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Martha Coakley on Friday, Hillary Clinton told the crowd gathered at the Park Plaza Hotel not to listen to anybody who says that “businesses create jobs.” “Don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses create jobs,” Clinton said. “You know that old theory, ‘trickle-down economics,’” she continued. “That has been tried, that has failed. It has failed rather spectacularly.” “You know, one of the things my husband says when people say ‘Well, what did you bring to Washington,’ he said, ‘Well, I brought arithmetic,’” Clinton said, which elicited loud laughs

RUSH: Carol Costello, my former stalker at CNN. She has a corner on the market on laughing at things. Did you hear what happened? Did you hear what she... (interruption) Yeah. And this is so classic. This is just typical. What happened was Bristol Palin, the daughter of Sarah Palin, got beat up. She basically got beat up and ended up calling the cops, and Carol Costello at CNN just thought it was the greatest news that she´d ever heard. Oh, yeah, Carol talked about this as being something that we hadn´t enjoyed in a long, long time. Here, grab audio

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush reportedly told South Carolinians that Fox News annoys him. Bush, a potential 2016 establishment Republican presidential candidate who has already come under fire for his support of amnesty legislation, Common Core, and potential tax increases, reportedly made his remarks in the first-in-the-South primary state on Thursday. He was in South Carolina to meet with activists and campaign for Republican Governor Nikki Haley. According to a CNN report, "Bush expressed annoyance with the polarizing fights and constant negativity of the political news media--he singled out Fox News, saying he usually watches the channel for a few

For years the White House has argued it had nothing to do with Operation Fast and Furious while it was active and certainly wasn´t involved the fallout and cover-up that followed after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in 2010 by Mexican bandits carrying guns from the lethal program. Now years later, a Vaughn Index describing Fast and Furious documents being held from the American people and Congress under President Obama´s assertion of executive privilege shows White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett played a key role in Attorney General Eric Holder´s changing testimony to Congress. JACKSON, Mississippi -- The Mississippi Supreme Court said Friday that it won´t revive an election challenge by a candidate who lost a Republican primary to Sen. Thad Cochran. Three justices agreed with Cochran´s attorneys, who said state Sen. Chris McDaniel waited too long to challenge Cochran´s victory in the June 24 primary runoff. A fourth justice, Michael Randolph, sided with Cochran, but for a different reason: He said courts should not be involved in deciding a political dispute over who votes in party primaries. The 4-2 Supreme Court ruling was handed down three weeks after justices heard oral arguments. Three justices did not

In Modern Times, his sweeping history of the 20th century, Paul Johnson recounts how Einstein’s theory of relativity, a strictly scientific principle, was contorted into relativism, a loopy social phenomenon, through a permanent campaign of serpentine rhetoric. It is, as Roger Kimball explains in The Fortunes of Permanence, a classic example of how a sensible concept or term of art that helps us grasp some narrow aspect of reality can end up distorting reality when ripped from its moorings and broadly applied. Another good example is “lone wolf.” Since Thursday afternoon, newscasters have incessantly told us that the late and unlamented Zale

The preparedness of New York City officials and workers to deal with Ebola has once again left much to be desired as a HazMat team sent in to decontaminate the apartment of Craig Spencer, the first person to contract the deadly virus in the city, was seen leaving his apartment with sealed barrels, but wearing no protective gear. The men were photographed exiting the apartment without gloves, face masks, or anything else to protect them as they loaded the barrels with possibly contaminated goods into the back of a truck. In fact, one man had something dangling out of his

Apparently law and order in Ferguson Missouri has completely collapsed. The black street thugs now appear to control the community. Empowered by the non-response of state and federal officials to stop their lawless behavior, the street mobs -no, wait, these are not “mobs” these are beyond mobs, they’re animals- have gained a foothold promoting anarchy. It is important to understand exactly how far the police have withdrawn in their ability to control the street gangs. In this short video from 2 days ago you see a police officer who attempted to drive through the safari and was surrounded by the mob/animals. After

After the Obama administration bargained for Bowe Bergdahl’s life, the family of ISIS hostage James Foley begged the White House for the same treatment—only to be denied. The parents of James Foley, the journalist ISIS beheaded in August, learned about the U.S. government’s attempt to rescue him about an hour before the rest of us did. The grieving parents got word from President Obama himself. “I told Obama that Jim worked hard to get him elected,” John Foley, James’s father, told The Daily Beast. “He believed till the end his country would come and get them.” The president, according to John, responded, “Well I

A nurse who caught Ebola while caring for the patient diagnosed in Dallas was released from a hospital Friday, free of the virus, and was to meet later in the day with President Barack Obama at the White House. Nurse Nina Pham said she felt "fortunate and blessed to be standing here today," as she left the National Institutes of Health´s hospital outside Washington. She thanked her health care team in Dallas and at the NIH and singled out fellow Ebola survivor Dr. Kent Brantly, who recovered after becoming infected in Liberia, for donating plasma containing Ebola-fighting antibodies as part

Democrat Vincent Sheheen of South Carolina referred to his Republican opponent, sitting governor Nikki Haley, as a "whore" in an apparent slip of the tongue during a recent campaign rally. "We are going to escort whore out the door," said Sheheen at a Thursday night event in Florence. The Democrat immediately recognizes his mistake and corrects himself. "We´re going to escort her out the door," he says, smiling. (snip) A spokeswoman for the South Carolina Democratic party denies Sheheen made the slip:

Washington Post media reporter Erik Wemple called on CNN´s Carol Costello to apologize to the Palin family in the same venue where she mocked audio of Bristol Palin reporting a physical assault: on-air. Although Costello herself called for an ESPN anchor to be suspended for comments he made about a assault on a woman (after he had apologized on-air), thus far Costello has only issued a short written apology through CNN. The Washington Post: Costello apologized quickly and in airtight fashion: “Over the past few days I have been roundly criticized for joking about a brawl involving the Palin family.
