After Ailes, Fox News Has A New

For a few glorious weeks this summer, Fox News seemed as if it had emerged from a retrograde stupor defined, in part, by “leg cams,” the cinematic technique predicated on shooting broadcasters at thigh level, in favor of a period of enlightenment. After former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual-harassment lawsuit against the network’s co-founder, Roger Ailes, numerous other women came forward with surprising velocity to voice their own allegations. Meanwhile, James Murdoch, the C.E.O. of 21st Century Fox, and his brother, Lachlan Murdoch, its executive chairman, swiftly ordered an aggressive internal investigation to be administered by the

Who Wore It Better:

Fashion for politicians can be deeply polarizing. No one demonstrates that better than the Philadelphia Inquirer’s fashion critic Elizabeth Wellington. Two all-white outfits worn at political conventions provoked deeply divergent responses. Melania Trump’s all-white dress was “A scary statement.” So while Trump appeared flawless on the Cleveland stage Monday night, whether she intended it or not, her all-white ensemble displayed the kind of foreignness that is accepted by her husband’s political party. To many, that outfit could be another reminder that in the G.O.P. white is always right. On the other hand, “Hillary Clinton looked presidential in an all-white pantsuit.”

Shepard Smith on Trump:

Fox News´ Shepard Smith strayed from the Fox News script today while interviewing Wall Street Journal reporter James Grimaldi following Hillary Clinton´s Reno, Nevada speech. Actually that´s putting it mildly. Smith crashed through the barrier of at least putting up the appearance of neutrality and broke into the realm of flat out bias of the worst sort by charging Donald Trump with racism. If you think I am exaggerating, watch the following video of the exchange for yourself and you be the judge.

A massive fight ensued between Finnish citizens and migrants in the town of Forssa, located in southern part of the country. A total of around 100 people armed with bats and pipes were involved in the clashes in front of a local migrant center. Finns reportedly attacked the migrants first on Tuesday evening, according to media reports. The latest clashes come amid a growing number of fights between the locals and the migrants over a new migrant center that was built in Forssa. Witnesses described a large group of locals gathering by the migration center. The group began to fight the

Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Thursday released a video linking Donald Trump to the Ku Klux Klan ahead of a speech in which the Democratic presidential nominee will attempt to tie her GOP rival to the “alt-right” movement. The video strings together clips of KKK leaders and white supremacists voicing their support of Trump. The minute-long spot also targets Trump’s newly minted campaign CEO, Steve Bannon, a former Breitbart News executive who is associated with the alt-right. It also features CNN anchor Jake Tapper asking Trump earlier this year if he denounced former KKK leader David Duke’s support of his candidacy.

Donald Trump’s shifting positions on immigration threaten to alienate some of his core supporters at a critical juncture, surprising and confounding many of those who were drawn to the candidate for his seemingly unyielding hard-line stance against undocumented immigrants. The Republican nominee now must walk a political tightrope on his signature issue as he tries to broaden his appeal among undecided voters while maintaining enthusiasm among his diehard backers. Meanwhile, Trump must answer for apparent contradictions between his fresh outlook and past proposals. "It´s the last fig leaf of a credible campaign he had left,” said Steve Deace, a conservative radio host

I recently sliced the tip of my toe on an ocean barnacle. This happened at 6pm on a Friday of a long-awaited beach weekend, so I avoided the emergency room for stitches. Overdosing on rosé was no cure. My minor wound kept bleeding. I finally went to the doctor when I got home where I got crutches, antibiotics for the infection, and an avoidable weeklong recovery for a tiny cut, for no reason other than my bullheadedness. As I watch Hillary Clinton wish away the fallout of the Clinton Foundation’s unseemly ties with the State Department during her tenure as Secretary of

Isis is an ancient Egyptian goddess of the moon, fertility, healing and magic. She is known as the essence of femininity and is exalted in her role as mother and wife. The regal name Isis also means “woman of the throne,” and thousands of women and girls in Egypt and around the world claim this name as their own. My husband and I named our 3-year-old daughter Isis because of its strong Egyptian roots. We wanted her name to reflect her heritage. But now she has become one of the many unacknowledged, unanticipated casualties in the war against the Islamic

Stripping down! Girls stars Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke banded together in next to nothing for a series of non-Photoshopped lingerie portraits released on Wednesday, August 24. The sultry photos are part of a body-positive initiative called The Lonely Girls Project, by New Zealand-based intimates and swimwear company Lonely. For their photo session, Dunham, 30, and Kirke, 31, wore lacy, see-through bralettes and panties in muted pastel colors, while lounging in bed and hanging out in a bathroom.

With the focus on President Obama’s late arrival on the scene, the media have forgotten that Hillary Clinton never bothered to go to Louisiana at all. It’s far easier for the media to go after an outgoing president than the women most hope will replace him. Definitely don’t want to tarnish her. What’s more, she is out in California taking money from Hollywood celebrities while not even bothering to stop by the scene of any of the massive, destructive fires that consumed sections of that state. Below, Ellen Ratner, who is not a conservative, notes that Clinton has been on

Sarah Jessica Parker has stepped down as the face of pharma company Mylan after it emerged the company had raised the price of its life-saving EpiPens by 548 per cent. In a post on Instagram Thursday, the ´Sex and the City´ actress said she was ´disappointed, saddened and deeply concerned´ and called for Mylan to reverse the price hike. Her announcement came the same day that the beleaguered company - which has faced an outpouring of scorn since the price increase came to light - was challenged by Senator Joe Manchin, father of Mylan CEO Heather Bresch. In Hillary Clinton’s inner circle, it’s common knowledge that there are times she’s so low-energy that she blanks out for hours. When that happens, she is given to strange mental spells during which she has little or no control over what she says and does. She sometimes mutters things no one can understand. My colleagues in the mainstream media are covering all this up, but the time has come to speak out. We simply can’t elect a president subject to such mysterious health issues. What’s that you say? It’s nothing? It’s just that she . . . sleeps at night, like the rest
