Just days after the Obama White House accused House Speaker John Boehner of “breaking protocol” by inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress, a team of up to five Obama campaign operatives has reportedly arrived in Israel to lead a campaign to defeat the Israeli Prime Minister in upcoming national elections scheduled for March 17. The anti-Netanyahu, left wing Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports a group called “One Voice,” reportedly funded by American donors, is paying for the Obama campaign team. That group is reportedly being lead by Obama’s 2012 field director Jeremy Bird. As

When Michelle Obama joined US President Barack Obama on his visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, many Saudis on Twitter focused on the fact that she was not wearing a headscarf rather than the outcome of the diplomatic visit. The couple were visiting to offer condolences after the death of the late King Abdullah, and strengthen US ties with his successor King Salman. Members of the US delegation crossed party lines and included former Bush-era officials, according to AFP. On Twitter, Saudis launched the hashtag #Michelle_Obama_NotVeiled in criticism of the first lady for not covering her hair.

Tens of millions of people hunkered down along the US East Coast for a storm which for most failed to live up to its billing as the worst they had ever seen. A storm threatening to dump 36 inches (3ft) of snow from New Jersey to Massachusetts prompted drastic measures to be taken overnight, with states of emergencies declared in seven states. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said it would ´most likely be one of the largest blizzards in the history of New York City.´ But early today, forecasters downgraded most of their numbers, saying New England would fare the worst, but

U.S. President Barack Obama has been accused of being disrespectful, after being caught chewing gum during the Republic Day parade in India. A photo of the president removing the gum from his mouth before popping it back in, has been shared across Twitter. At the time, Indian Prime Minister Nardndra Modi appears to be trying to explain something to the president. Twitter user Shobhaa De wrote: ´Barack bahi working his jaws overtime and chewing gum! At least it´s isn´t gutka. But seriously - gum during a formal parade?´ American media have said Obama was most probably chewing Nicorette.

In Des Moines this past weekend, Sarah Palin gave a speech, and at long last the vultures began to circle. “A tragedy,” declared Joe Scarborough, on Morning Joe; “bizarro,” ajudged the London Times’ Toby Harnden; “an interminable ramble,” said Iowa professor Sam Clovis. These, alas were among the kinder adjectives. In the Washington Examiner, Byron York treated those who missed the address to a brutal dissection.(Snip)Some people contain within them a magical quality that leads their fans toward idol worship, and, for whatever reason, Palin appears to have it in spades. But, as she has discovered for herself of late,

Tucker Carlson said on Fox that more children die of bathtub drownings than of accidental shootings. They don´t. Steve Doocy said on Fox that NASA scientists faked data to make the case for global warming. They didn´t. Rudy Giuliani said on Fox that President Obama has issued propaganda asking everybody to "hate the police." He hasn´t. John Stossel said on Fox that there is "no good data" proving secondhand cigarette smoke kills nonsmokers. There is. So maybe you can see why serious people - a category excluding those who rely upon it for news and information - do not take Fox, well ... seriously,

First lady Michelle Obama’s fashion sense has been a parade of florals on the presidential trip to India this week, delighting Indians when she stepped off Air Force One wearing an Indian-born designer’s exotic ensemble. The dress, with matching coat, was knee length with a pattern of huge blue-and-white poppies splashed over the bodice and waist, with a black-and-white striped pattern filling out the rest. Indian style watchers knew immediately it was by Bibhu Mohapatra, who was born in India but now is based in New York. (Tweet) It helped that Mohapatra, 42, tweeted his delight, as did the U.S.

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was released by the Taliban last year in exchange for five prisoners, is being charged with desertion, retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer told Bill O’Reilly on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday. Mr. Shaffer, who now works for the London Center for Policy Research, said two separate military sources have confirmed to him that Sgt. Bergdahl’s attorney has been given a “charge sheet,” listing out the articles of the uniform military code that have been violated. “The army has come to its conclusion and Bowe Bergdahl will be charged with desertion,” Mr. Shaffer said. Sgt. Bergdahl left his

Rachel Levine stood tall in the doorway, offered a polite handshake, and took a seat at the L-shaped desk in her drab, blank slate of an office. The room, with its empty bookshelves, dual computer screens, and not much else, seemed appropriately open to possibility as the headquarters for a woman about to chart new territory. Levine, who has just been named Pennsylvania´s physician general, spent most of her 57 years - at least outwardly - as a man. If the state Senate confirms her appointment, the doctor, who until a few years ago was known as Richard Levine, will become

House GOP Speaker John Boehner is considering a lawsuit against President Barack Obama over his executive order to shield millions of undocumented immigrants from deportation. Boehner discussed the next potential steps at a closed-door meeting with House Republicans on Tuesday. “We are finalizing a plan to authorize litigation on this issue - one we believe gives us the best chance of success,” he said, according to a source in the room. The options included filing a lawsuit against Obama over the issue or to join the handful of states that are already suing the president. If Boehner moves forward, he would put a resolution authorizing

In a shocking breach of security, an electronic device described as a small drone was recovered on the grounds of the White House on Monday. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed the incident in a press briefing in New Delhi, India, reports the Los Angeles Times. Earnest was asked about initial reports of a possible drone being found at the White House and said he wasn´t familiar with them. Then at the end of the news conference, after checking his BlackBerry, he said a small drone was indeed discovered on the grounds but "doesn´t pose any ongoing threat" to US President Barack

DES MOINES — As a chance to evaluate possible 2016 Republican presidential candidates, the Freedom Summit here in Des Moines was a solid success. Several potential candidates — Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, and a few others — left the 10-hour political marathon with their prospects undeniably enhanced. All that was good news for Republicans. But at the same time, more than a few GOP loyalists came away shaking their heads at the performance of a party star, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, whose long, rambling, and at times barely coherent speech left some wondering what role she should
