Mayonnaise Is The Worst Condiment

There exists in this world a condiment below all others. It has all of the flavor of sawdust and the sublime texture of soap scum. Until recently, I was unaware that The Federalist, lovers of freedom, etc., was complicit in its spread. I rise today to defend America—nay, the world—against such scurrilous anti-food propaganda. As all Americans, especially Texans, know, mayonnaise is a tool of oppression used by communists and bland-food lovers everywhere. It is a form of mind control designed to cow you into a sense of complacency about life. Food has flavor, and mayo covers that flavor up. It

Hillary Clinton wheeled out her best Donald Trump impression before taking part in a rendition of Lean On Me during a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live. Appearing on the opening episode of the new series, hosted by Miley Cyrus, Clinton took part in a skit with Kate McKinnon, the latest in a long line of female comics to impersonate her on the show. McKinnon played Clinton, while Clinton took on the role of a bartender named Val, helping the fake Clinton to blow off steam after ´a rough couple of 22 years.´ (Photos/Video) Lamenting her flagging campaign, ´Clinton´ can be

On Wednesday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced at the United Nations that her office would be working in several American cities to form what she called the Strong Cities Network (SCN), a law enforcement initiative that would encompass the globe. This amounts to nothing less than the overriding of American laws, up to and including the United States Constitution, in favor of United Nations laws that would henceforth be implemented in the United States itself – without any consultation of Congress at all.

Shock: LA Times Labels Black Oregon

The Los Angeles Times has labeled the Oregon shooter as having “white supremacist leanings” even though the shooter was black. The shooter identified as “mixed race” and reportedly had a black mother. Quoting an alleged anonymous source in law enforcement, the paper wrote, “A federal law enforcement source familiar with the investigation said, though, that authorities had obtained some of Harper-Mercer’s writings, as well as a note he left behind, suggesting that he supported white-supremacist causes and opposed organized religion. He also liked to discuss military history, the official said.”

Obama urges ´single issue´ voting on guns

President Barack Obama urged Americans who want to see tighter gun laws to become “single-issue voters.” At a press conference on Friday, Obama predicted that there will be little action in Congress to prevent mass shootings like the one that took place in Roseburg, Oregon, on Thursday until Americans hold elected officials accountable at the polls. “Here’s what you need to do: You have to make sure that anybody that you are voting for is on the right side of this issue,” Obama said. If politicians oppose gun safety measures, he continued, “Even if they’re great on other stuff, you’ve got to

On April 28, 1996, a gunman opened fire on tourists in a seaside resort in Port Arthur, Tasmania. By the time he was finished, he had killed 35 people and wounded 23 more. It was the worst mass murder in Australia’s history. Twelve days later, Australia’s government did something remarkable. Led by newly elected conservative Prime Minister John Howard, it announced a bipartisan deal with state and local governments to enact sweeping gun-control measures. A decade and a half hence, the results of these policy changes are clear: They worked really, really well. At the heart of the push was

A record 94,610,000 Americans were not in the American labor force last month -- an increase of 579,000 from August -- and the labor force participation rate reached its lowest point in 38 years, with 62.4 percent of the U.S. population either holding a job or actively seeking one. In other disappointing news, the economy added only 142,000 jobs in September, well below economists´ expectations, but the unemployment rate remained at 5.1 percent, where it was in August. The number of Americans not in the labor force has continued to rise, partly because of retiring baby-boomers and fewer workers entering

What did he know and when did he know it? The immortal question about Richard Nixon and Watergate should be posed to Barack Obama about Syria. What and when did he know about Vladimir Putin’s axis-of-evil coalition? The significance is not limited to Syria. The question goes to the heart of the Iran nuclear deal, especially the timing of the congressional votes. Imagine Obama trying to sell the Iran deal now. With Russia, Iran and Iraq working together to muscle the United States aside and defend Bashar al-Assad, the president couldn’t possibly argue that the nuke deal would help stabilize the Middle

The occasion seemed perfect for John Lennon. A group of lecturers at Guildford School of Art had been sacked for backing a student sit-in. Now they were holding an exhibition of their work and Lennon — art-school educated and now a hippy superstar with a reputation for being anarchic and outspoken — was invited to open it. He turned up in a fur coat and dirty tennis shoes amid excitement that he and girlfriend Yoko Ono would declare their support for the cause. Instead, he just handed out pieces of paper on which were written: ´Fold nine times — John

Will Black Lives Matter revive the debate over reparations? The case for reparations is typically made as a form of economic compensation to descendants of slaves. These days, some racial activists also make the case for reparations as compensation for systemic discrimination in law enforcement. Several black leaders addressed Democratic state legislators Friday at the State Innovation Exchange in Washington, D.C. "Thinking about decriminalization with reparations," Marbre Shahly-Butts, deputy director of racial justice at the Center for Popular Democracy, said. "The idea is we that have extracted literally millions of dollars from communities, we have destroyed families. Mass incarceration has led to the

If you are looking for evidence of the deep antipathy that exists in the Republican Party toward politicians, consider that the three candidates leading the race for the Republican presidential nomination — Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina — have zero years of governing experience among them. (Snip) People who would never board an airplane piloted by a person who has never flown before, or even used a flight simulator, apparently want to elect as president someone who has never served in public office. A phenomenon like this doesn’t arise ex nihilo; an ethos creates political openings that candidates,

It’s not just the fourth quarter. It’s trash talk time. President Barack Obama’s never done a good job hiding his disdain for the people he doesn’t like—a long list that includes reporters, Republicans, pretty much every member of Congress, the foreign leaders he considers petty and childish (Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyanu most of all). Everyone would see things his way, he tends to project, if only they were a little smarter and thought it through as thoroughly as he has. (Snip) He showed up ready to mock, with an unimpressed, exaggerated upside down smile just one right cheek mole short
