Five adults from infamous New Mexico
compound are charged with terror,
kidnapping offenses

Legal Insurrection, by Leslie Eastman

Last summer, FBI arrested five Muslim extremist suspects connected to the New Mexico compound where eleven malnourished children found and the remains of a missing three-year-old boy were discovered. The children were allegedly being trained to conduct school shootings. Federal authorities later destroyed the compound. Now, the 5 are being charged by federal authorities with terror, kidnapping and firearms offenses.

So the world goes nuts over the shootings in New Zealand but crickets when Muslims plan the same thing.

What? Someone actually charged them for what these muzzie terrorists do best like murder, kidnapping? The FBI is actually doing their job they were hired for instead of a political hit job to unseat a sitting President? Amazing. I´m flabbergasted.

A couple’s wedding day is typically followed by their honeymoon. But there’s a new trend where newlyweds actually spend their honeymoon away from each other. In the early days of honeymoons — early 1800s — it was a time for couples to travel and visit relatives who couldn’t make it to their wedding. So it was zero alone time, which is quite the departure from this new trend. Take the honey out of the moon and you’ve got a solomoon. On Instagram, almost 1,500 posts display the reality of this new trend, where newlyweds decide to vacation alone or with

New Hampshire cities and towns that want to adopt sanctuary city policies are free to do so, now that the House has defeated a Republican-sponsored bill to ban the practice in the Granite State. The “Anti-Sanctuary Act,” (HB 232) if passed, would have required all state and local governments to comply with federal immigration detainer requests. The bill also prohibits any local or state policies that “restrict or discourage the enforcement of federal immigration law.” It was defeated, 211-132. “Detainer requests are not arrest warrants,” said Rep. Jim Maggiore, D-North Hampton.

Police responded to the Revolution Taproom & Grill on North Main Street on Jan. 15 and found Jeanamos D. Verneus in the men’s bathroom with a stab wound in his thigh. The 27-year-old Rochester man had allegedly texted a family member from the bathroom and asked them to call 911. He was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for treatment and investigators began a second-degree assault investigation. But after a month-long investigation that included “many interviews and video surveillance,” police now believe that Verneus stabbed himself, according to a statement from the Rochester Police Department.

An initial background check performed on Gary Martin in 2014 failed to catch a 1995 felony conviction for aggravated assault that would have barred the Aurora, Ill. gunman from purchasing a firearm. Martin, who police say killed five people and wounded several others at an Aurora warehouse facility on Friday, reportedly passed the background check in January 2014 and was subsequently issued a firearm owner’s identification card. According to Aurora police chief Kristin Ziman, Martin used the card to purchase a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun two months later.

WHEN THOMAS EDISON established his Pearl Street power plant in New York City in 1892, he used coal for fuel, not wood. Wood fuel could not compete with the cost of coal in 1892 and it still can’t today. Nevertheless, burning of biomass is widely regarded as sustainable and promoted as a solution for climate change, especially in Europe. (Snip) A 2012 study by Synapse Energy Economics estimated that the average smokestack of a U.S. biomass plant emitted about 1.67 tons of CO2 per megawatt-hour of electricity generated, or 50 to 85 percent greater than emissions from a coal-fired plant.

ALBANY — Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said the law´s cap on deductions for state and local taxes at $10,000 was to blame and suggested it is, anecdotally, triggering high-earners to leave New York. “At this point there is no doubt that the budget we put

The battle over the admissions standards at New York City’s elite public high schools has heated up again. After having failed to change the standards last year, Mayor Bill de Blasio is back at it, this time with some backup from celebrity freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. As usual, their impassioned pleas about the lack of black and Hispanic students completely ignores that it is Asian, not white, students who would bear the brunt of the proposed changes. At issue is the fact that these hyper-competitive high schools consider only a test score in deciding admissions

Defeated Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said Tuesday she spent the 10 days between Election Day and her non-concession speech "plotting," telling an audience "revenge can be very cathartic." Abrams has claimed for months that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R.) used voter suppression methods as secretary of state to win, and she essentially deemed his victory illegitimate. She refused to concede on election night in hopes of forcing a runoff, and despite eventually losing by more than 50,000 votes, Abrams said the election was an "erosion of our democracy."
