After New Zealand mosque attack,
I won´t watch the news
coverage of another mass shooting

USA Today, by Michael J. Stern

I’ve lived most of my adult life inside the blood-stained walls of people doing horrible things to one another. At the age of 26, while a state prosecutor outside of Detroit, I spent the better part of a year prosecuting a 17-year-old with a long criminal history who escaped from juvenile detention, broke into a house, and shot a hole through a young father’s head while he was sitting at his desk working from home. As a federal prosecutor, I ran the FBI investigation into a gang leader who decided it was cheaper to murder his drug supplier than pay

Completely understandable. We are drowning in a sea of news and it takes its toll even if we don´t see it right away.
We have no control of events happening outside our immediate lives, so why torture yourself?
I check here a few times a day and put Fox on for an hour in the morning and evening. No more constantly battering myself with a world full of evil. My stress has been reduced markedly.

Don’t worry about watching or hearing of people being killed. Seems the only people that matter are mooozies. Christians being slaughtered is just not news worthy. 38 women and children being cut down is not news worthy.
128 Christians being killed in Nigeria is just not worth reporting. The mooozies have sworn there will be retailiation for the killings in N Z. But that’s ok. The world deserves it. Done with Fox News. And any other source that supports non Christians. Done!

All the daily angst we suffer could be avoided if conservatives split from liberal in a "Amexit" -- a move of American-values people away from the multi-culti victimhood liberal loons.

Tired, tired, tired of watching people who hate American values taking over America. I want my country back.

I lay all of this at the feet of Barack Obama.

When my late husband began showing signs of dementia, he became obsessed with the news (Fox News). His anxiety levels were terrible. How, he would ask repeatedly, will our grandchildren ever have a good life like we’ve had?. Our wonderful doctor who is our age and has been our doctor for over 30 years gave him a prescription. Written on the prescription pad were these words: No more news! It truly helped. I too as one poster remarked get most of my news from Lucianne. I like Tucker and some Laura on Fox but do not make it a nightly habit. It’s a great prescription- try it!

I get my news online and thus do not have to sit through the pundits´ silly irrelevant jabber.

These stories draw viewers. People who are bored or just addicted to drama. The media are always going to cover it and if they can get live footage of the killing even better. Then they put on their sad faces and blame it on a Republican politician or all gun owners. After a week life goes on. I would rather not participate.

Each of us are responsible for our own sphere of influence. The place we live, our families and the people we interact with. The world news and American news just bleats out horror and hate 24/7. Things we have zero control over.
I only read the news, and I try to pray, and focus on what good I can do in my own personal "sphere". Life is much happier that way.

All the news programs and newspaper articles titled NATION MOURNS, is BS. I´ll bet most people in New Zealand went about their business as usual trying not to think about it. Fact is, the 24/7 news cycle has desensitized most people to such events. Like crying wolf. After a while one just puts their head down and moves on.

The media , in general , is so lazy that most only come alive when there is a mass shooting ,a hurricane or a bombing. That is because they don´t have to do anything but talk behind a mic in front of a camera. Their greatest talent lies in pretending that they are having trouble standing up in high winds in their L.L.Bean raincoats with price tags still attached.

The liberal domestic and international media is now blaming President Trump for instigating the nut job in New Zealand to murder 50 Muslims.

But that nut job would never have known anything about Trump’s political agenda to secure the US borderline to keep smuggled contraband, illicit narcotics and illegal aliens out of the USA and to ensure that potential Islamist terrorists from gaining entry to the USA, if those media organization had not created false and misleading reports around the world to the effect that Trump’s efforts were racist and in keeping with “White Supremacy”. Such bogus reporting is bound to hurt the USA and encourage unstable individuals to engage in all sorts of very serious crimes as happened in New Zealand.

Twenty or fifty Christians killed by Muslims for ever one the other way.

THAT is the story.

This is a ´man bites dog´ story, backwards from the "accepted norm" of Muslims regularly murdering huge numbers of Christians.

How much coverage when the Egyptian Muslims locked the Coptic Christians in their church and burned them alive? Very, very, VERY little. One mention, one day, and move on, nothing of interest to see here, they are only Christians, no outrage.

Enough.

Islam is a vicious, murderous death cult whose primary religious duty is to convert, enslave or kill all who are not Muslims and pretending otherwise is suicide. Literally.

It´s violence porn, snuff video, and it sells. That´s all they care about.

Law enforcement does NOT want to use the names of these murderers because it´s what they want. Most mass-murderers have lived unexciting lives and are nobodies who arrogantly must be remembered for something. To mention the names of the Parkland or Columbine High School murderers is glorifying them to the next mass-murdering wannabe watching the new.

President Donald Trump’s two most loyal employees aren’t politicians or fixers or publicity flacks. They’re caddies. He has a regular outdoor caddy—a 60-something ex-Marine named A.J.—who loops for him faithfully at Trump National Golf Club Washington in Northern Virginia. And then he has a kind of indoor caddy—Dan Scavino, Trump’s social media director, and one of the very few staffers who’s remained in Trump’s orbit from the start of the campaign—who actually met Trump caddying for him when he was a teenager. In a way, A.J. and Scavino are the same guy. They’re both mostly unknown,

College admissions scandal generated disgust

The college admissions bribery case has left people fuming. Stories of wealthy, well-connected parents allegedly paying large bribes to buy their kids seats in top-tier universities or high scores on college admission exams have stoked disgust and angry calls for the accused to be punished. But prosecutors cannot bring a case on outrage alone. In filing criminal charges last week against 50 people alleged to have played roles in the wide-ranging scam, the U.S. attorney in Boston embarked on an ambitious and, in some regards, uncertain legal odyssey, legal experts said.

Brexit is, at bottom, about self-rule

Amid the shambolic fracas in the British government and Parliament over how and when Brexit should take place, it’s important to step back and remember the why. The United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union is not ultimately about trade or regulations. It´s about something more fundamental: the natural right of people to form and control their government. At its core, Brexit is about democracy and self-rule. Britons wanted their government, parliament, and courts to once again be the final authorities in the land. The flow of power out of Britain and into Brussels isn’t some theoretical concern.

The document that Mueller delivered to Attorney General William Barr has been so eagerly awaited that its official name might as well be “The Highly Anticipated Mueller Report.” This must be uncomfortable for Mueller, who shuns publicity, doesn’t seem to have much taste for politics, and has maintained a silence

Robert Mueller has delivered his report on the Trump-Russia investigation to Attorney General William Barr. Sometime soon, perhaps within hours, Barr will send the report´s "principal conclusions" to Congress. It will first go to the chairperson and ranking member of both the House and Senate Judiciary committees. It is unclear what will happen after that, but certainly other lawmakers will see the document, and there will be a steady stream of leaks of what is in the report. The Mueller investigation is over, and it is apparently the case that Mueller does not recommend any new indictments.
