Dershowitz: House Dems seem to be
´going too far´ seeking dirt on Trump

Fox News, by Victor Garcia

Original Article

Posted By:Harlowe, 3/6/2019 1:19:03 AM

On the heels of an expanded investigation brought by HouseJudiciary CommitteeChairman Jerry Nadler,D-N.Y., famed attorney AlanDershowitz warned Tuesday that HouseDemocrats may have gone “too far” and could face lawsuits for allegedly abusing their oversight powers. “Congress has a legitimate oversight function to perform but it has to make sure it doesn’t go too far. It can’t use that oversight function, which is really designed to help get legislation, in order to really prevent a president from finishing out his terms and acting. They’re interfering with the executive branch if they do so,”Dershowitz said on “Hannity.”

Mr. Dershowitz suggested individuals getting letters or subpoenas might want to think about filing a lawsuit “...suggesting that Congress is abusing its oversight function.” What a wonder it would be if all 81 recipients of the witch-hunt documents would file a collective lawsuit! The catchphrase used by the late, great Jackie Gleason might be heard throughout conservativeland: “How sweet it is!”

For a Democrat,
Dershowitz exhibits Intelligence,
Common Sense and Integrity

But as I heard him say more than once,
If the Election were held tomorrow,
He’d Vote for Hillary again

The 81 could also plead the 5th amendment. That seems to be the thing to do when Congress wants to sniff around.

Isn´t there such a thing as double jeopardy? Nothing was found after two years of digging by Mueller. I´d like to see them ignore everything sent to them by the dems just like they did to the republican investigations.

Dershowitz is irrelevant. There isn´t a Dem/Lib/Prog who listens to anything he has to say. And we have plenty of our own who can say what he does.

I gave him credit for spitting into the wind and tugging on Superman´s cape, but he hasn´t yet pulled the mask off the old Lone Ranger and I doubt he will ever see his way clear to leaving the party of evil. (yeah I remember Croce!)

The leftist and liberal Democrats are bound to overreach trying to set up President Trump for re-election defeat in 2020, unless that extreme overreach is brought to a halt by the Supreme Court and good luck with that.

Mueller just filed Russia report.
Here´s what Barr should do with it

All we know at this point is that Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered his report on Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election to Attorney General William Barr on Friday. What we don’t know is how the attorney general will handle the report. Barr has several options. The fairest would be to immediately turn the report over to President Trump’s legal team and give them a week to write a response. Barr could then issue both reports simultaneously so that the American public could judge the comparative merits of both sides of this adversarial process.

JERUSALEM (AP) — U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told a Christian broadcast network that it´s "possible" that President Donald Trump is like Queen Esther, who saved Jews in the Old Testament. The interviewer asked if Trump is "like Queen Esther," who interceded with her husband to save Jews in what was then Persia and is now Iran. A lawyer representing former Trump attorney Michael Cohen said Wednesday that Cohen directed a lawyer last year to inquire about possibly receiving a pardon from President Trump. The disclosure by Lanny Davis, reported by the Wall Street Journal, contradicted testimony by Cohen last week on Capitol Hill, in which Cohen told members of the House Oversight and Reform Committee: “I have never asked for, nor would I accept, a pardon from Mr. Trump.” According to the Journal story, Davis said Cohen “directed his attorney” to ask about a possible pardon.

“There was no collusion!” As President Trump demonstrated in his feature-lengthCPAC speech, he is that rare combination of bottomless energy, canny comic timing, disregard for norms, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.(Snip) I do not expect collusion to be the highlight ofMueller’s report.Collusion was just the rationale for conducting an investigation for which there was no criminal predicate. I expect Mueller to file a report that highlights obstructive conduct, though probably not one that calls for an obstruction indictment. Even though we do not yet know exactly what the Mueller Report says, we do now know that no other indictments are in the works. No collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign was found. So, the self-assured and confident predictions by so many on the left that they had seen "cold, hard evidence," and that Mueller would find copious evidence of "collusion" with Russia, was just wishful thinking alone. They all had to know the infamous "dossier" was faked.
