Why some African Americans are
questioning Kamala Harris’s blackness

Washington Post, by Eugene Scott

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 2/15/2019 11:15:01 PM

Sen. Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.) is running to become the first black female president. But in the early days of the campaign, she’s had to answer questions about the “legitimacy” of her “blackness.” Online, stories have circulated suggesting that Harris is not African American because her parents are immigrants and she spent some of her childhood in Canada. During an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” radio show Monday, hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God asked Harris about that. Harris pushed back. “I’m black, and I’m proud of being black. I was born black. I will die black,”

Comments:
She´s Jamaican and Asian-Indian, with little connection to the ´´African American´´ experience.

Who are they going to support? Booker? Too stupid. Beto? They don´t come any whiter than him.

Elizabet Warren? Biden?

So many choices. The mind reels.

Glad I´m not a Democrat. It´s bad enough being a Republican these days.

Kamala Harris is one nasty piece of work. She´d make a perfect little commissar, spending her days signing edicts that we proles would be forced to obey -- or else.

Her behavior in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on Brett Kavanaugh was inexcusable, a planned ambush of then-Chairman Charles Grassley, who is a genuinely decent and fair man. She, Cory Booker and Dianne Feinstein (for whom I used to have a measure of respect) made complete jackasses of themselves.

With all due respect, Kamala Toes had more black American credibility than the Kenyan Klown did. And certain blacks questioned Barack´s creds as an American black, including Jesse Jackson, who suggested that he might ´cut Barack´s nuts off.´

FTA: "[Kamala Harris] spent some of her childhood in Canada."

- Some??? Make that about 12 very formative years from age 7 through high school graduation.
- Canada? Make that French Canada, Montreal.
How about we have American bred, as well as born, candidates for President? Harris is a non-starter, and with her dubious record, and vicious Senate Judiciary Committee hearing attack on Judge Kavanaugh she´s a horrible candidate. No wonder Dems favor her now.

Because they are racist.

Americans who use skin color to determine who others are a blight on our society. I was appalled recently to see a sign in a Texas hospital explaining the difference between race and ethnicity. Race, it said, is any group that shares common genes.

That didn´t sound right, so I consulted the US Census Bureau. It´s worse. It defines race as "a person’s self-identification with one or more social groups," whereas ethnicity "determines whether a person is of Hispanic origin or not."

Irishman need not apply.

The Census Bureau goes on to explain "How can I use this information? Race and ethnicity data can be used for...understanding disparities in housing, employment, income and poverty." It goes on to say policymakers can use this information in allocating funding and other opportunities.

In other words, race and Hispanic heritage are how you can acquire a grievance and exploit it to secure an unfair advantage over others.

For the record, here´s my definition: race is something you talk about, focus on, and are proud about if you are a racist.

Like Kamala Harris.

Enough, Enough I say with this racist "Blackness" (you can substitute the word victim status for blackness)communist drivel.

How about Kamala "Balloon Head" Harris´s Americaness? That is what anyone should care about in regards to her fitness to run for president. She is a traitor, corrupt, and a radical communist out to take away our God given rights to live as a free people.

A very evil person who banged her way to her current position and has stupid stamped on her coarse and brutal face.

Don´t blame her though for her actions and wondering how she got to be a Senator. Blame the worthless, ignorant toads who voted her into office.

She certainly has all of the characteristics, perpetual anger, hatred of whitey, big mouth that spews nonsense, huge ego, sense of entitlement. Her problem is that there are too many out there just like her and she will get lost in the crowd but when the civil war begins she will be deemed "black enough."

Hey, it worked for Smidgen, whose black half (if you believe his story) was never an American citizen and only spent two years of his life here. Hussein had no ancestors who were brought here as slaves so his blackness doesn’t count as victim status or being a true African American any more than does Teresa Heinz Kerry.

The question about her "blackness" is not important. What is important is that she is not a natural born American citizen. Neither of her parents were American citizens when she was born. Thus, she is not Constitutionally qualified to be President. That is the important point, not her blackness.

Kamala is simply not African American.

Obama, according to my understanding of his grandmother´s genealogical information, actually had some African American slave ancestors ON HIS MOTHER´S SIDE!

Kamala doesn´t even have that. Jamaicans don´t count in the American score book.

Obama also had some North American Indian ancestors, and Tamils do not count on that score either.

Basically, she´s just another foreign woman with a tan ~ plenty of those ~ many have numerous friends.

Everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth. For the Left, their allies in the media, and the Democratic Party, the drumming has been relentless, so severe that dental records might have to be used to identify their bashed in political personas. For two years, these anti-Trump forces said President Trump, his campaign, and the Kremlin colluded to tilt the 2016 election. Sen. Elizabeth Warren has reignited the debate over the Electoral College — she wants to get rid of it, naturally. I say “reignited” because this is a very old argument. But I’m going to skip rehashing the usual — and to my mind, persuasive — arguments in favor of the Electoral College. Arguments against it tend to boil down to two gripes: It’s very old-fashioned, and it’s undemocratic. In 2016, the last time we had this kerfuffle, “Handbook of Electoral System Choice” author Josep Colomer wrote in The Washington Post: “The US electoral college is a medieval relic

For decades, Catherine Leach has never accepted the official explanation about who was behind the series of killings in Atlanta that terrorized the city and left her teenage son dead. Her 13-year-old son, Curtis Walker, was one of 29 mostly black children who were killed from 1979 to 1981 in a spate of crimes that became known as the Atlanta child murders. During those tense three years, children vanished, only to have their bodies turn up days later, with many of them having been strangled. The killings haunted Atlanta and brought grief to families, but also festered racial suspicions.

The apparent scoop du jour is that ex-VP Joe Biden is set to announce his bid with his running mate already picked out: former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. Suggestions for his VP thus far have been a who’s-who of the current field of competition for the nomination, including Harris and O’Rourke. Abrams possibly becoming The Chosen One is somewhat surprising, because her star has only so recently begun its ascendency — but not too surprising, because of her fierce intellect, warm demeanor and popularity. So they’re fleeing this otherwise balmy state. About 52,630 people ages 65 and over left Florida in 2017, versus 48,174 in

Democrat 2020 candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke warned from the campaign trail in South Carolina Friday night there may not be another year of America if the Mueller report is not made public. “Republicans and Democrats should do whatever they can to make sure their constituents, the American people, can read that report, form their own judgement, make their own decisions, and that the truth comes out,” O’Rourke said at a campaign stop in South Carolina Friday. O’Rourke warned that America may not see another year if details of Russian interference in the 2016 election included in the Mueller report are

Barbra Streisand is under fire for comments she made about two men accusing Michael Jackson of sexually assaulting them as children. The legendary singer and actress said that Wade Robson and James Safechuck — whose allegations against the late King of Pop resurfaced in the recent documentary “Leaving Neverland" — “were thrilled to be there” and that what allegedly happened to them “didn’t kill them." Streisand, 76, made the strange comments to British newspaper The Times in a piece out Friday, in which she also said that Jackson’s “sexual needs were his sexual needs.”

The San Antonio City Council banned Chick-fil-A from San Antonio International Airport over “anti-LGBTQ behavior” as part of a new concession plan for the airport. District 1 City Councilman Roberto Treviño motioned to approve the Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement with Paradies Lagardère for the airport Thursday on condition Chick-fil-A be excluded from the agreement. Treviño asserted Chick-fil-A has a “legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior” and that such a business had no place in the city’s airport. Even though we do not yet know exactly what the Mueller Report says, we do now know that no other indictments are in the works. No collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign was found. So, the self-assured and confident predictions by so many on the left that they had seen "cold, hard evidence," and that Mueller would find copious evidence of "collusion" with Russia, was just wishful thinking alone. They all had to know the infamous "dossier" was faked.

The Washington National Cathedral disputed President Trump´s claim that he had to "approve" the funeral of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.). "Washington National Cathedral was honored to host the funeral service for Senator John McCain. All funerals and memorial services at the Cathedral are organized by the family of the deceased; only a state funeral for a former president involves consultation with government officials," a cathedral spokesperson said in a statement to The Hill on Thursday. "No funeral at the Cathedral requires the approval of the president or any other government official," he added.

This spelling and grammar test from the 1980s is so difficult that it is claimed no one can get more than 50 per cent of the answers right. The 20-question quiz promises to leave even the brightest brains scratching their heads. Indeed it is so tricky that its creator, Playbuzz user Terry Stein, claims players will ´never´ be able to score more than 10 out of 20. So if you think you have what it takes then scroll down to take the test in full. But the answers are at the bottom - so no cheating...

First of all, of course everyone should wait to see the contents of the actual Mueller report before drawing any specific final conclusions about it. But here are some laws of nature in the modern age: If that report contained a fraction of the damaging material breathlessly awaited in the media culture for two years, there would be some smoke signal of it. Instead, we saw an actual finding from the Justice Department that there would be no further indictments from the probe. No indictment of Trump. No indictment of anyone associated with the campaign or the administration to support

Hours after New Zealand announced prohibitions against semiautomatic rifles and shotguns, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) tweeted the U.S. needs to follow the gun ban example. Feinstein tweeted: “In country after country, massacres are followed by sweeping changes to gun laws, as logic would dictate. The United States needs to follow these examples and take action to protect Americans from this deadly public health scourge.” She attached a statement to her tweet wherein she noted: Here at home in America, since the 1999 shooting at Columbine High School, we’ve suffered through at least 227 school shootings that killed 143 and left

MSNBC’s top Russiagate conspiracy theorist Rachel Maddow burst into tears on Friday — after the past two years of her reporting was revealed to be nonsense. On Friday, it was revealed that there would be no more indictments from Robert Mueller’s office, sealed or otherwise, which completely contradicts the tall tales that she has been selling her viewers. Barely holding it together, Maddow emotionally explained that she is on a fishing trip in Tennessee and came into a studio — despite having had the day off. A group of black seminarians is seeking amends for the Princeton Theological Seminary’s founders’ and early faculty’s ties to slavery. The Association of Black Seminarians posted a petition online earlier this month as a response to a report that detailed the seminary’s history with slavery, which was released last year. So far, the group has collected more than 400 signatures on the petition, which asks for $5.3 million annually to fund tuition grants for black students and establish a Black Church Studies program.(Snip) “Princeton Theological Seminary is uniquely positioned to lead the theological academy in addressing historic, structural, educational

The president is outnumbered now in a way that he was not before.” He added, “Second, I don’t think I, and most of my colleagues, will accept a report unless its veracity is testified to by Bob Mueller.
