Right now, the Democratic presidential field includes nine declared candidates: New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg, former HUD secretary Julian Castro, Maryland Representative John Delaney, Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, California Senator Kamala Harris, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. The battle to out-do each other to be the one to lead the un-washed to the New Socialist Utopia will be either be entertaining or downright boring.

Either way, the Socialist kitty will be totally out of the bag, and rejected by a majority of voters.

Possibly, a major democrat City ( Like Chicago?) should build a Roman-like Colosseum; with appropriate meat-eating critters to be loosed on the ´Dim Debaters´. Could be a weekly TV Show.
The last one to be thrown to the critters would be George Stephanopolous(?sp) for the grand finale. Heck of a Show! And it would sure separate the wheat from the chaff in the Dimm Party. Last one standing gets to run against Pres. D.J. Trump.

Journalism Dies in Self-Importance
City Journal, by Lance Morrow    Original Article

I suppose it’s true that “Democracy Dies in Darkness,” as the Washington Post’s slogan says. But journalism may also die, by morphing into forms that can no longer be described as journalism. Journalism may come to mean a crooked scandal sheet, or high-minded propaganda. Sometimes squalor and self-righteousness are equally disreputable. The Post’s apothegm, somehow off-kilter, with its alliteration and self-importance, was a purposeful bit of branding, designed to claim high ground and to poke a thumb in President Trump’s eye every morning. Such partisan intent detracts from the slogan’s claim to universality. The self-serving implication—the notion that,

No amount of psychological pressure, Groupthink, political or academic intimidation should persuade anyone that the world will end in twelve years or that the environmental steps we take these next twelve years will determine earth’s fate. Last week, the president of the Chicago police union asked the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate whether Cook County State´s Attorney Kim Foxx interfered in the police investigation of Empire star Jussie Smollett. Further reporting suggested Foxx may have interfered after receiving a text from Tina Tchen, former chief of staff for former first lady Michelle Obama. Mueller wraps up — but don’t

Special Counsel Bob Mueller has handed in his report, marking the effective end of the three-year Trump-Russia investigation. Hallelujah! This means that Mueller firmly expects to file no more criminal charges, which pretty much confirms that all the media and political hysteria about his investigation was driven more by partisan wishful thinking than by anything resembling hard evidence. And that hysteria used up far too much time and attention in a nation with plenty of real issues to worry about. Yes, as much as possible of Mueller’s report should be released to the public,

Barbra Streisand is under fire for comments she made about two men accusing Michael Jackson of sexually assaulting them as children. The legendary singer and actress said that Wade Robson and James Safechuck — whose allegations against the late King of Pop resurfaced in the recent documentary “Leaving Neverland" — “were thrilled to be there” and that what allegedly happened to them “didn’t kill them." Streisand, 76, made the strange comments to British newspaper The Times in a piece out Friday, in which she also said that Jackson’s “sexual needs were his sexual needs.”

Special counsel Robert Mueller has submitted his report on Russian meddling in the US election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign to Attorney General William Barr, the Justice Department said Friday. Justice notified Congress late Friday that it had received Mueller’s report but did not disclose any of its conclusions. “I am reviewing the [Mueller] report and I anticipate that I may be in a position to advise you of the Special Counsel’s principal conclusion as soon as this weekend,” Barr told Congress. President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Jay Sekulow issued a joint statement.

A constant refrain we now hear is that President Trump’s order to finance the wall is “unconstitutional” and “violates the separation of powers.” That is not the case. Richard H. Pildes, a professor of constitutional law at New York University, wrote on March 14 the clarifying article, “How the Supreme Court Weakened Congress on Emergency Declarations.” Here are his salient points: Trump’s declaration of a national emergency to build the wall derives from that singular authority in the National Emergencies Act (NEA), passed by Congress in l976. Since then, presidents have resorted to the NEA 58 times.

Ilhan Omar has refused to answer substantive questions regarding her marriage to husband number 2, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. I think is fair to infer that Elmi is her brother and that she entered the marriage for some dishonest purpose. If so, the dishonest purpose would likely have something to do with student aid while she and Elmi went to college in Fargo at North Dakota State University. If Omar is not Elmi’s sibling, the marriage nevertheless appears to involve some serious dishonesty she has concealed. I originally raised the question regarding Omar’s marriage to Elmi in 2016.

Walking to lunch past the center’s Maya Lin–designed memorial to civil-rights martyrs, we’d cast a glance at the inscription from Martin Luther King, Jr., etched into the black marble—“Until justice rolls down like waters”—and intone, in our deepest voices, “Until justice rolls down like dollars.” The Law Center had a way of turning idealists into cynics; like most liberals,

Even though we do not yet know exactly what the Mueller Report says, we do now know that no other indictments are in the works. No collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign was found. So, the self-assured and confident predictions by so many on the left that they had seen "cold, hard evidence," and that Mueller would find copious evidence of "collusion" with Russia, was just wishful thinking alone. They all had to know the infamous "dossier" was faked.

First of all, of course everyone should wait to see the contents of the actual Mueller report before drawing any specific final conclusions about it. But here are some laws of nature in the modern age: If that report contained a fraction of the damaging material breathlessly awaited in the media culture for two years, there would be some smoke signal of it. Instead, we saw an actual finding from the Justice Department that there would be no further indictments from the probe. No indictment of Trump.
