| Four decades ago, Bob Woodward was the King of Journalism in Washington. He was the brave soul who spoke truth to power. He had brought down a president. Robert Redford had played him in a movie. This weekend Woodward shucked and jived for the richest man on Earth to keep his job. Pathetic. Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world, owns the Washington Post, which employs Woodward.

When will they learn that blaming President Trump for everything bad is like touching that third rail? Starting with nothing in their arsenal but raw hatred, they cannot win.

We didn´t know the media was corrupt during the Nixon years, but the "leaking" to the liberal reporters by high government officials should have been a clue. Perhaps that era was the birth of fake news by the "established media".

Woodward has been lionized ever since Watergate and particularly since the film, but time after time he has published dubious books (speaking to a man in a coma and getting a response, even when there was no way he could even have entered the guarded hospital room, etc.) I think it all comes down to Robert Redford playing him...........

Woodard is 76 years old. He has had his one big day- The Watergate Scandal. Since then, he wrote a few books, got on lots of TV shows and has generally been as worthless as wooden wheels on locomotives. He got lots of mileage from that little exposè that the leaker, Mark Felt (another crooked Deputy Director of the FBI) handed to him on a silver platter.
Woodard would have ended up doing the funerals and weddings listings in the Post if it had not been for the Watergate disaster falling into his lap.

Woodward was on a Sunday news show when the Monica Lewinsky blue dress story broke in 1998.
The host, (could have been Dead Tim Russert) asked Woodward, "Why weren´t you on this story?"
Woodward´s arrogant reply, "no one brought me anything."
The real myth of All The President´s Men was that Woodward and Bernstein, through vigorous investigative reporting, uncovered Watergate.That was pure bull.
Judge Sirica, by violating sentencing guidelines, was the mover and shaker in Watergate. He broke the burglars, who talked. Then the FBI fink, Felt, went to the dynamic duo at the W-P, and placed the story in their laps. There were no mysterious, frightening meetings with scary people. (remember W and B running through a parking garage? Pure Hollywood.)
The only person with personal honor may have been G. Gordon Libby.

A pair of House Democratic chairmen have reportedly been consulting with the chamber´s general counsel to try to force President Trump to divulge information from his private meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. It has been two and a half weeks since Jussie Smollett reported that he was the victim of a hate crime, and in that time, his story has fallen apart completely. Washington — Millions of Americans are waiting for Robert Mueller to give them the final word on whether the Trump campaign conspired with the 2016 Russian election interference effort — and whether their president is under the influence of a foreign adversary. Millions of Americans may be sorely disappointed. Andrew McCabe is a national disgrace. He was part of the most corrupt and most partisan leadership team in FBI history and was fired for being dishonest under oath. And yet, America owes him a big thank-you.
