The news came in a recent issue of the Frankfurter Allgemeine (FAZ): “Two years after President Trump´s inauguration, the Germans have lost much of their trust in the United States.” Eighty-five percent of respondents in an Atlantik-Brücke survey, reported FAZ, view the U.S. either “negatively” or “very negatively.” Many Germans look more favorably upon Communist China than upon the U.S.; more than half would like Germany to distance itself further from the U.S., with only thirteen percent wanting a closer relationship. Germans aren’t big on NATO, either: Only a quarter of those surveyed

European arrogance toward the US has always existed despite the fact that they have been at war with one another since recorded history. It also seems the anti-Semitism was not forced on Europeans as recent events demonstrate. They are so smart they have welcomed the devil and his death cult into their midst. It won´t be long before they learn of their folly. Don´t expect the US to save Europe again.

If Germany is not for us, then they are against us. So be it. We will just sit here and watch a bunch of seventh century barbarians destroy them from within. They have a lot of nerve dissing this country but maybe they are still smarting from the butt whoopin’ they received in WWII.
Merkel has been a disaster for Germany and is welcome to its anti-Americanism. They are not known for their ability to choose good leaders but apparently are excellent at following orders.

German guilt. To think how much money we spent restoring it under the Marshall plan, not to mention my part in enhancing the economy by consuming copious amounts of German beer during my 3 year tour in the late 60´s.

We were stationed in Mainz, Germany, years ago and we lived on "the economy". This meant we lived in a German neighborhood. We met the nicest folks and corresponded with several families for a few years after our tour. I believe it is the government and leaders of Germany, the elite, who are anti-America, they have a tendency to want to dislike other countries if they are successful, maybe jealousy...

I went there in November, I think like the French, they need American´s as tourist and our Military Bases to keep their economy going. They can live with out it but it goes along way in keeping them at the top of the European food chain. Remember the push in Germany to have us move our troops out during G W Bush´s first term, and when he took them up on the idea a plan load of German Mayor´s showed up in DC asking, pleading for us to stay? Don´t know where this pole comes from, but think not the average German is on board.

I´m 1/4 German except those ancestors left what is now Germany (then Prussia and Bavaria) around 1850 when the new state of Texas offered free land to those who would settle the area. I think the ones still there are just jealous.

It will not be possible nor will the US be willing to save them again. Their Godless multicultural stupidity has let the devil in and Europeans no longer have the will to rid themselves of the menace. There are no more Queen Isabella´s. They are doomed. So who cares if they hate us - Europeans will be the next crowd of people sneaking across our borders.

I don´t know how much stock to put in polls such as these. No doubt the leftist elites push Anti-American views onto a population that is probably just as susceptible to fake news as our last couple of generations. It is galling to consider the cost to America in lives and treasure to subdue the "bad" Germany, turn them into a "good" Germany and protect them from Russia post war, only to have a sizeable amount of the populace totally clueless and without gratitude.

I was in the Air Force two years at Rhein Main Air Base. Nearly all the people I met on and off base were friendly. The older Germans told me they were glad America had controlled part of Germany after the war. Their reason? "We saw the Russians and what they did." They were happy to have us around. The younger ones were idiots.

The big news of Thursday was not whether or not there will be a government shutdown (yawn) or whether the wall will or will not be built (it will -- eventually) or even that AOC betrayed the citizens of New York by costing them 25,000 Amazon jobs (hey, she´s a socialist). The big news in what was a relatively big news day was made by fired Acting Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe in snippets from a forthcoming interview on 60 Minutes. In the late ’70s there was a horrendous spate of child murders in the Atlanta area. Once it became clear that a serial monster was on the loose, people sprang into action. It was all little black children, almost all boys. Racist slanders to the contrary, white people were just as appalled as black people. Committees were formed, ribbons were worn, buttons were sold that said, “Stop the Racist Murders.” OBVIOUSLY, it was racist, right? Who in their right mind would believe that a black man had done such hideous things to black children? Then they arrested Wayne Williams

30 Years After The Fatwa, Salman Rushdie Lives But Free Speech Is In Danger

On this day in 1989, the Ayatollah Khomeini announced a fatwa calling for the killing of the novelist Salman Rushdie. His “crime” was having described Islam’s founder Muhammad in his book, “The Satanic Verses,” in a way that displeased the Islamic leader. All Muslims were called upon to kill Rushdie — basically, an international contract was put out on him. For an America that was not yet fixated on the dangers of Islamic extremism, it was a chilling moment, both frightening and confusing. As the fates would have it, that same year the United States faced its own debate

WASHINGTON -- The "Green New Deal" is upon us, and the question is what to make of it. The Democratic proposal mandates that, within a decade, virtually all fossil fuels -- which represent about four-fifths of the nation´s energy supply -- shall be replaced with clean fuels that don´t worsen global warming. Just how is this task to be accomplished? The main sponsors of the Green New Deal -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass. -- don´t say. The difficulties are made apparent by new projections of energy use between 2017 and 2050

Andrew McCabe is a national disgrace. He was part of the most corrupt and most partisan leadership team in FBI history and was fired for being dishonest under oath. And yet, America owes him a big thank-you. McCabe, you see, has reminded us once again that there really is a powerful deep state, and that there has not been a full accounting of rampant FBI misconduct during the presidential campaign of 2016. There is also still too much we don’t know about the role top aides to then-President Barack Obama and higher-ups in the Justice Department

Immigration Landmines in the Funding Bill

The text of the funding bill was released last night/this morning, and lawmakers are expected to vote on the 1,169-page measure as early as this evening. The bill is disappointing in many respects, but if it had been as advertised earlier, it might have been tolerable. But my fears that senators Durbin and Leahy would trick the Republican conferees (none of whom knows the first thing about immigration policy) were realized. Standing out among the many distasteful provisions are two poison pills that I hope the Republican committee members either didn’t know about or didn’t understand. The first regards the fence.

Former Texas Democratic Rep. Beto O´Rourke said Thursday that he would "absolutely" support tearing down existing barriers along the southern border with Mexico, in a full-throated embrace of open-borders rhetoric that has left conservatives wondering where other potential 2020 Democratic White House hopefuls stand on the issue. O´Rourke´s comments came as the House and Senate passed a compromise spending bill that would partially fund President Trump´s proposed border wall, to the tune of $1.4 billion. Trump, who had been pressing for billions more, has vowed to declare a national state of emergency to fund the remainder of the project.

Julián Castro is the lone Latino candidate in the crowded 2020 Democratic primary field. He’s uniquely positioned to capture the support of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, which has more members than ever and more clout. Yet so far, he’s come up dry. Just one of the 38-member group has publicly endorsed Castro’s bid since his campaign announcement last month — his twin brother, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas), who chairs the CHC and also serves as chairman of Julián’s campaign.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democratic House Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries defended his party’s push for a universal background check bill Wednesday, claiming that any enforcement of the legislation — including federal firearm registration — will be left to the Department of Justice to decide. Efforts to expand federal firearm background checks to all private sales could eventually lead to federal firearms registration, a potential that worries some Second Amendment advocates and sympathetic Republicans. “The Department of Justice and the FBI will have primary responsibility for enforcing the requirements that we hope will be enacted into law consistent with the values

Most Americans recognize the phrase, “A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage.” Yet few could tell you, without a surreptitious glance at Wikipedia, that it was Herbert Hoover’s 1928 campaign slogan. It was obviously meant to imply that he would preside over an era of prosperity. A year after his inauguration in March of 1929, the stock market had crashed and the nation’s economy had imploded. The voters would be wise to remember that morsel of history as they inhale the aroma of boiling unicorns being prepared

SACRAMENTO — Just five weeks into the job, Gov. Gavin Newsom has crystallized his vision of what California will look like in the Trump era: It won’t just be the hub of the resistance against the president; it will be its own nation-state. But before Newsom can create a country-within-a-country, he had to defuse two multibillion-dollar grenades that his predecessor, Gov. Jerry Brown, left in his in-box: high-speed rail and the delta tunnels project. In proposing Tuesday to scale back both of Brown’s unpopular legacy projects, Newsom hopes he can preserve enough political capital

In that raid, they seized a list of items including multiple containers of bleach, a "red hat," an Empire script, a Mossberg rifle, and two computers. On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, my first full day on the job as acting director of the FBI, I sat down with senior staff involved in the Russia case—the investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. As the meeting began, my secretary relayed a message that the White House was calling. The president himself was on the line. I had spoken with him the night before, in the Oval Office, when he told me he had fired James Comey. A call like this was highly unusual. Presidents do not, typically, call FBI directors.

The GOP Majority Leader in the Senate persuaded President Donald Trump to not veto the GOP’s flawed border security bill by promising to back a national emergency construction of border walls, according to insider leaks to the establishment media. The Washington Post reported that “Trump had been leaning against supporting the congressional spending bill but relented after several conversations with [Majority Leader Sen. Mitch] McConnell, who then announced his agreement to go along with an emergency declaration.” One reason for Trump’s last-minute opposition is that congressional leaders conducted the negotiations without significant White House involvement.

Washington — Millions of Americans are waiting for Robert Mueller to give them the final word on whether the Trump campaign conspired with the 2016 Russian election interference effort — and whether their president is under the influence of a foreign adversary. Millions of Americans may be sorely disappointed. Unless Mueller files a detailed indictment charging members of the Trump campaign with conspiring with Russia, the public may never learn the full scope of what Mueller and his team has found — including potentially scandalous behavior that doesn´t amount to a provable crime.

She is no longer just a potential threat to their schemes and operating principles, she has taken a wrecking ball to them.
