Washington - Negotiators in Congress say they have reached an agreement in principle to fund the government and avoid another partial government shutdown. The emerging agreement was announced by a group of lawmakers, including Republican Sen. Richard Shelby and Democratic Rep. Nita Lowey, after a closed-door meeting on Capitol Hill. The talks had cratered over the weekend because of Democratic demands to limit immigrant detentions by federal authorities, but lawmakers apparently broke through that impasse Monday evening. Now they will need the support of President Donald Trump, whose signature will be needed ahead of the deadline at midnight Friday. If lawmakers don’t act, hundreds

We´ll now see if the DEVIL (Pelosi) was in fact in the details.

I say anything over $1.5B with no limit on detentions or deportations is a great start. I know it’s not the full amount, but that can still buy a lot of fence.

Now it has to be brought to the floor of the House for a vote. Then the Senate has to approve. Then signed by POTUS. I´ll believe there´s a deal when POTUS signs. If he doesn´t sign, I´m okay with that. Start the RIF process. Specifically, clean out TSA, CIA, FBI, DOJ, Dept of ED, HHS, HUD, etc.

There are 535 lawmakers. I doubt 10 of them even know what the agreement says. The President has not seen. The American public have no idea about it. I would think these other people might have a say.

Dems are in the weakest position to demand anything in my long memory.

Full wall funding. Detain all illegals and catch and deport 100%.

The Democrats essentially only want to detain and deport illegal aliens who are convicted of very violent felonies who have no family members in the USA, and exempt all other illegal aliens from being detained and deported. Such a policy essentially means “open borders”, undermines the immigration laws, and will encourage huge mass uncontrolled illegal immigration into the USA on into the future.

If such Democrat proposals become law, they would mean that the illegal alien population would be allowed to grow exponentially with just about all illegal aliens being allowed to stay in the US to await a Democrat crafted amnesty that would eventually grant them US voting rights.

Once it becomes official that almost all of the 22 million illegal aliens now believed to be in the USA are no longer subject to being deported, under current legal precedents those millions of illegal aliens would be considered to be in the USA “under the color of law” that would make them eligible to access most forms of government provided social welfare benefits and services.

Clearly the Democrats consider all such illegal aliens to be natural future socialist oriented Democrat voters after they are granted a Democrat crafted amnesty and path to US voting rights. The possibility of gaining millions of new foreign born voters is what this obstruction of the immigration laws by the Democrats is all about.

If the wimpy Republicans do not have the President’s back on the issue of enforcing the law against mass illegal immigration, and defending and securing the borderline those Republicans will be committing long term political suicide, no doubt about that.

Get money from other places. Get cameras out there watching as wall goes up. We need to SEE it. No just “repairs.” No games.

RIF those those folks layed off. We didn´t miss them the last time, we won´t miss them the second time. Think hard about shutting down the border.
