Warren Forgets One Thing
As She Announces

New York Sun, by Ira Stoll

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Senator Elizabeth Warren, announcing her campaign for president here over the weekend, used the word “rich” or a variation on it — “richer,” “richest” — at least nine times in a single 45-minute stump speech. The senator called President Trump “the product of a rigged system that props up the rich and powerful and kicks dirt on everyone else.” She said “America’s middle class has been deliberately hollowed out” by “the richest families in America.”

I call on Warren to release her tax returns for the past 10 years so the poor can see how much SHE earns and how much SHE gives to the less fortunate.

Just askin´.

Yes and Trump misrepresented himself in order to benefit from a rigged system rather than fiercely compete in a market environment created by a level of genuine freedom and some level of government interference, none of which was of his making.

Or do I have him mixed up with someone else?

Oh, you mean like a rigged system where an evil foreign corporation gets permission to buy a whole bunch of valuable mineral rights, for something like maybe uranium, right after that corporation makes a HUGE contribution to some powerful politician´s "charitable" foundation? Something like that?

Well one of her best qualities is lack of self-awareness (pretty much like Her Thighness, who set the standard). Virtually everything Warren passionately claims to want to correct is something she herself is guilty of, including being rich and taking advantage of a rigged system.

And speaking of being "too rich", why doesn´t someone ask her why she conveniently set the level for her 70% tax proposal above what she would be subject to? She´s got some nerve trying to portray herself as a crusader for the middle class. Like virtually every single Democrat (AND Bernie) she´s worth millions now. Let´s confiscate HER dough and see how she likes it.

The watershed moment that led Amazon to reconsider coming to Queens came on Feb. 4 — when a fierce political foe was appointed to a state board with the power to thwart the project, said sources involved in the discussions. That was the day state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins nominated Sen. Michael Gianaris as her appointee to the obscure Public Authorities Control Board. Gianaris, who represents Long Island City, where Amazon was planning to build one of its new headquarters, bitterly opposed the $3 billion in

A large majority of priests in the Vatican are gay, although many are not sexually active, a new book claims. A total of about 80 percent of the most revered clerics in the Roman Catholic Church are homosexual despite the church’s opposition to gay rights, according to the extensively researched book by French journalist Frédéric Martel. The gay priests adhere to an unspoken code called “the closet,” where it is understood that, for instance, a cardinal or bishop who denounces homosexuality is more likely to be gay, according to the book “In the Closet of the Vatican.”

He didn’t read intelligence reports and mixed up classified material with what he had seen in newspaper clips. He seemed confused about the structure and purpose of organizations and became overwhelmed when meetings covered multiple subjects. He blamed immigrants for nearly every societal problem and uttered racist sentiments with shocking callousness. This isn’t how President Trump is depicted in a new book by former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe. Instead, it’s McCabe’s account of what it was like to work for then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

On my first bus trip to the Right to Life March in DC, the driver put in the tape of the infamous film, The Silent Scream, narrated by Dr. Bernard Nathanson. Nathanson was one of the original co-founders of NARAL, (the first abortion advocate group), whose mind was changed about the issue after watching an ultrasound showing the struggle of a fetus fighting for its life. What I found incredible about the film was a display of the many deadly instruments depicted that would be inserted into the woman’s body.

There were two victims in the horrific attack earlier this month on Jennifer Irigoyen in New York City. But the state’s law recognizes only one of them. Irigoyen was in the second trimester of her pregnancy. Neither she nor her unborn child survived. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown initially announced that Hobson would be charged with second-degree murder as well as second-degree abortion, reasonably enough, considering that he stands accused of killing both Irigoyen and her child
