The Democrats’ disastrous week
highlights Trump’s sanity

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 2/10/2019 4:53:57 AM

If you are of the mind that President Trump is to blame for everything wrong and wacky in our politics, then last week was a very bad week for you. The evidence begins with Trump’s very good State of the Union speech, where he was alternately conciliatory toward Democrats and ruthless in contrasting his policies with theirs. Reckless in their rhetoric and resistance, Dems make themselves vulnerable to charges that they support open borders, socialism and infanticide. It doesn’t help that a lasting image of the speech was the women-in-white brigade

I´m curious to see what happens with New York and California as we approach 2020. If their Socialist policies make life for citizens so miserable or if the states suffer some sort of collapse as a direct result, it might throw a lot of people to the republican side and put a huge cork in the mouths of Sanders, Cortex and others. There´s going to come a time when people are going to stop grousing about this creeping socialism and take matters into their own hands...and it likely own´t be pretty.

That State of the Union confirmed that President Trump was the real adult in the House. And it´s the bratty millennial children who have now taken over the Democrat Party. What´s really shocking isn´t that an AOC could come along and say goofy things she learned as a product of our leftist indoctrination camps (college), but that the entire crop of new Democrat presidential candidates would adopt her lunatic manifesto as their party platform.

It´s not a Green New Deal, it´s really a Red New Deal, as in full blown enviro-communist. Delivered by the Comrade Ladies in White, like the Nurse Ratcheds of the Neo-Communist Party like lithium for insane followers. Here, kids, take this new deal and you won´t worry about infanticide, airplanes, cow farts, health care, insolvency...or anything. Socialism is good for you. It´s green.

If the Dems are going to survive, the party should split from the progressives right now. Make a clean break and become a centrist party. They are not going to win in 2020 and should at least try to rebuild the party for 2022 and 2024 on sound economic principles. People will have some respect for them to try to do something constructive and not be a party of desruption and lies. Right now they are digging a hole from which they´ll never escape.

Bashing California has become such a knee-jerk meme that people jump right in without thinking and continue to parrot the same old dumb things.

Is it bad out here? Sure, but it´s still bitchin´. I was born here 62-plus years ago and am well-travelled due to a couple of career choices -- meaning I also know where you live because I´ve actually lived there myself.

Nowhere is less or more jacked up than anywhere else these days, so cool it. We´re all in this together.

There is always hope for California for reasons that neither the mainstream nor pajama partisans care to bother.

Just know this; the pendulum always slows and California always leads. Plenty of people don´t want to hear this because hating California is now a comfort zone of sorts, so take comfort in the fact that you don´t have to like it.

You don´t even have to lump it.

The problem dems face as a party is that 25% or more of the party are extremist nuts. If they split from them, they will win no more presidential elections for a long time, if ever. They will probably lose a bunch of Senate and House seats as well.

They can´t win with the nuts and they can´t win without them.

#11 – You’ve got this native daughter of California cheering. We are just inherently bitchin’ and have been since the Spanish first sailed our shores. We will eventually throw off the communist fleas and the stalwarts who remain through the crisis will reap great rewards. Let the fair-weather transplants sell out and leave. Those with vision will buy up top real estate at rock bottom prices. When MAGA comes to California and her natural beauties once again call out to the frigid east, we’ll make a bundle.

California has always been on the cutting edge. When had sane leaders we lead the nation in jobs, schools and infrastructure. It’s the height of irony that Gov. Pat Brown was responsible for planning and starting the post-war California Dream and his idiot son is the one who oversaw its dismantling. We are a state of extremes in more ways than our geography. Our “cutting edge” is now the totalitarian Democrats who have complete control in Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Their policies are unsustainable and no amount of Kabuki Theater will prevail against the reality of Trump Time.

The political paradigm has shifted. The rest of the nation is leaving California behind and the brilliance of MAGA will make a sharp contrast to the dysfunction of “progressive” socialism. I’m betting that California pride will eventually overthrow the inhabitants of the Sacramento Swamp.

MAGA then Make California Golden Again.

So sorry for your losses No. 14; hope you had reasonably decent insurance; things can be replaced but not lives. I left when Barbara Boxer was enthusiastically elected to the House in my California district, and I saw the handwriting on the wall. But like those above who reference a return of sanity, I too think the cycle will return for California, but I was right to know it would take too long and life is too short to live with people who are politically crazy as the CA electorate became and still is. They will suffer greater and greater consequences and no amount of Silicon Valley money will help. And they too are past their peak as well given they are so stupidly filtering out half the population by discriminating against conservative employees. Oh well. Hope Nevada can also return to full conservatism, and your presence there should help.

Call this phenomenon the “hypothetical news.” Donald Trump might launch a preemptive nuclear attack on North Korea. Donald Trump might withdraw from NATO. Donald Trump might fire his Chief of Staff. It is Carlson’s job as a journalist to keep an open mind for as long as possible when such a serious allegation has been made. He apparently kept that open mind for three months, until the ridiculousness of it all could not be ignored. A majority of the left, the Democrats, and their “mainstream” media arm have pounded the spurious collusion narrative for over two years.

The results of an independent investigation into the January 18, 2019 Lincoln Memorial confrontation between leftist activist Nathan Phillips, black supremacist group the Black Hebrew Israelites and students from Covington Catholic High School were released Wednesday by Greater Cincinatti Investigation, Inc. The report, which is four pages long, shows what everyone could have known initially if the time was taken to reach for context: Covington students didn´t use a single racial slur against either Phillips or the Black Hebrew Israelites and they didn´t instigate the confrontation. If there were a state that could educate Americans on politics, and what happens when virtue smacks up against raw political power, you’d have to say it’s Virginia. Illinois is broken. People flee Illinois for the same reason they flee New York: taxes. But they don’t run from Virginia. They gravitate to Northern Virginia, home to some of the wealthiest counties in the country, and all those rich lawyers and lobbyists and journos and politicos and equestrians work in Washington. These are the rulers and the palace guards, the gatekeepers and peddlers of influence. In another age, another place,

Tuesday evening the Committee to Defend the President (CDP) filed a motion in a D.C. federal court seeking to supplement the complaint it had filed against the Federal Election Committee (FEC) in April 2018. In its original complaint, the CDP alleged that the agency responsible for enforcing campaign-finance law failed to act on an administrative complaint the CDP had filed with the FEC. That complaint charged that, during the 2016 presidential election, Democrats illegally funneled approximately $84 million through the Hillary Victory Fund to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), which then illegally coordinated with the Hillary Clinton campaign.
