Whitaker snaps at Democrats:
´I am not here to be a puppet´

Washington Examiner, by Melissa Quinn

Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker on Friday snapped at Rep. Eric Swalwell after the lawmaker asked if he thinks special counsel Robert Mueller is honest, and refused to answer the question because he´s "not a puppet." Swalwell, D-Calif., asked Whitaker at a House Judiciary Committee hearing to say, “Mr. President, Bob Mueller is honest and not conflicted.” “Congressman, I am not a puppet to repeat what you’re saying,” Whitaker replied. “I have answered your question as to what I believe about the special counsel.” The acting attorney general earlier told Swalwell he believes Mueller to be honest, but the California

The look of utter contempt on Whitaker’s face at having to participate in this clown show echoed my feeling exactly.

I really HOPE there is a place for Whitaker in the Trump Administration. He was GREAT! He is a very large man, with a large voice, and he made the Democrats look very, very small for asking the dumb questions they did. None of them were interested in anything but how to "get Trump" and they tried every which way to Sunday to get him to slip and admit he carried info on Mueller to Trump. DIDN´T WORK! Trump needs this man! I also wonder why HE didn´t get the AG job! He was doing a great job!

Their “questions” were long, complex, convoluted expositions which ended in “answer yes or no”. When the hostile and combative Deming (black former police chief) couldn’t get an answer out of Whittaker, she picked up a paper and said "never mind, I have the answer here”…which seems to be the essence of what was done with Michael Flynn and other who were then charged with lying to the FBI. The FBI already had the answers. When they didn’t get a precisely duplicate response to their questions, wham!

I thought Whittaker handled it very well. And when his anger erupted, it was cold and well-directed. Powerful.

I think, #2, there is a good chance Trump offered it to him and he didn’t want it. I heard on Lou Dobbs that Trump and Whitaker really hit it off but this good man only wanted to fill in as acting AG. He did not want the top job.

I so admire the way he conducted himself yesterday. He showed each of those Committee members who insulted him that he wasn’t a bit afraid of or intimidated by them. It enraged the likes of Nadler and Jackson-Lee.

Can´t stand that Swalwell. He has higher ambitions, and is so, so smug whenever he is on Tucker Carlson. He really thinks he is the cat´s meow. Too bad he is white. That makes him a useful idiot, but not a potential candidate for 2020. although...he should be encouraged to run. Would love to see how his own devour him.

Democrats just never learn. They keep making themselves look stupid in front of the nation. Their asinine behavior may appeal to the Antifa segment of their base, but the moderates are starting to get restless.

Besides, if they are going to try to bully and intimidate someone, they shouldn´t pick on people smarter and tougher than they are!

When Swallwell took on the attorney general, he brought a knife to a gunfight.

In mid-January, a federal judge blocked an additional question to the survey that wants to ask whether the participant is a U.S. citizen. The Supreme Court promised yesterday to hear the case quickly so it is resolved before the 2020 Census. The number of electoral votes is also determined by the Census.
