Negotiators close to deal as
shutdown deadline approaches

Politico, by Heather Caygle, Sarah Ferris*

Original Article

Posted By:FlyRight, 2/9/2019 6:54:51 AM

Congressional negotiators say they’re close to reaching a deal to avert a shutdown, with Democrats acknowledging that a final compromise would include funding for border barriers — a concession that could spark rebellion within their party. Lawmakers and aides, however, said Friday that the conference committee remains several days away from a final border security deal as top spending leaders continued to trade offers back and forth. Negotiators technically have until Feb. 15 to reach an agreement to stave off another shutdown, but lawmakers insist the practical deadline for any agreement is much earlier in the week.

Why are the republicans negotiating at all with the communist democrats? You do not negotiate with an enemy who is dedicated to the destruction of our country and the imposition of Communism over all of us. We are in a Civil War with the democrat communists and should not be cutting deals with these evil monsters.

This "Deal" will be, reality, a betrayal of the voters who elected the republicans into office. The republicans will, as usual, cave into the democrats, giving into every single on of their demands, while whining that this is a great example of bi-partisanship at it´s finest and the best that they can do and once again posing the question - Why vote republican.

The end result - a very tiny portion of the wall will be funded in return for DACA citizenship, amnesty for illegals, and increased immigration.

President Trump had better have the stones to veto this act of treason.

Bet on it, the so-called deal will be a product of the Deep Swamp and a betrayal of We, The People.

Trump has more to lose than the Democrats do on this issue. If he caves and will except only $2 billion for the wall, unless he comes up with the money from someplace else, he loses in the eyes of his base. He doesn’t want to shut down the government again and he doesn’t want to declare a national emergency. I don’t know how this gets resolved without Trump losing.

They must go through the motions, for the sake of optics, but President Trump must go ahead with the other means at his disposal to build the wall. Democrats squabbling over spending ´´too much´´ money is laughable, coming from the party of big-spending.

My greatest wish...after this shutdown debacle,President Trump says to Congress from the Oval Office, that if the Budget and appropriation are not signed into law before October 1, 2019 the government will be shut down: here are the options:

1) signed into law budget and appropriations

2) budget and appropriations bill submitted and vetoed

3) veto overridden and budget and appropriations signed into law

4) revised budget and appropriations agreed and signed into law
No continueing redolution!

Otherwise the Government will be shut down..

We are all forewarned, the laws of the US demand a clean budget and appropriations be completed by October 1st
So go to work, or plan for a shut down..
The ball is in Nancy Pelosi and Congress’s Court!
No more child play, for elections, Christmas or snow days..

It better include ALL OF the money for the Wall, or Trump should just veto it and build it anyway out of leftover money from various agencies. 5 billion is not a lot of money, actually, in a multi-trillion dollar budget.

WASHINGTON — Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort could spend more than 19 years in prison on tax and bank fraud charges. That’s according to a court filing Friday by special counsel Robert Mueller’s office that lays out how federal probation officials have calculated Manafort’s potential sentence. The recommended sentence under federal guidelines would be the lengthiest prison term imposed in the Russia investigation if a federal judge agreed to it. It would also place the 69-year-old Manafort at serious risk of spending the rest of his life in prison.

Ahead of a rally Monday in El Paso, Texas, to boost support for his proposed border wall, President Trump signaled that he is still mulling an executive order to fund the barrier if congressional negotiations break down.“President is on sound legal ground to declare a National Emergency. There have been 58 National Emergencies declared since the law was enacted in 1976, and 31 right now that are currently active, so this is hardly unprecedented,” Trump tweeted Sunday, citing Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.), who has encouraged Trump to end the stalemate by using national emergency funds to build the wall

To prove that there´s a border emergency, President Trump must stop eating omelets! Ridiculous, you might say. And yet, on this morning´s New Day, CNN´s John Avlon, Alisyn Camerota and Jeff Toobin mocked President Trump for eating an omelet, somehow suggesting it debunks the existence of an emergency. After displaying a photo of Trump at a Mar-a-Lago omelet bar, the trio engaged in this banter:JOHN AVLON: While ´emergency´ is not defined in this statute, the dictionary definition of emergency certainly doesn´t fit this. The U.S. Transportation Department announced Tuesday it would attempt to cancel $929 million in federal grant funds for California’s troubled high-speed rail project. The move marks an escalation in the war between President Trump and California in the days since Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a rethinking of the bullet train project after years of cost overruns. The Transportation Department also announced it was “actively exploring every legal option to seek the return from California of $2.5 billion in federal funds.” It’s unclear whether it has the legal authority to do so, and California would probably oppose such a move.In a

A lot of Americans are justifiably angry that disgraced FBI official Andrew McCabe is doing a book tour rather than a stretch in some federal penitentiary. He has committed perjury on multiple occasions, participated in an attempt to alter the outcome of a national election, and colluded with other rogue bureaucrats to remove a duly elected president from power. But there is a bright and shiny silver lining to this dingy cloud of deep state skullduggery: Donald Trump still resides in the White House while Hillary Clinton stumbles around her Chappaqua mansion in a muumuu hugging a fifth of Glenfiddich.
