Democrats are leaving Hillary Clinton behind
New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 2/4/2019 4:48:12 AM

These are heady days for Democrats. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is flexing her power in the House, state legislatures are sweeping away abortion boundaries and each day brings a new entry into the 2020 presidential sweepstakes. Far-left newcomers demand massive tax hikes on the wealthy, free health care for all and an end to fossil fuels. Some are even attacking America’s Judeo-Christian heritage. Yet perhaps the single biggest development of recent days barely made news: Hillary Clinton’s political career is over, kaput, finished.

My father was of the opinion that we should not elect Senators or ret´d Generals (not incl. Ike) to the office of president because they think they should be obeyed as if they know everything better than anyone else.

Goodwin, you were doing fine until the last paragraph -

"On the other hand, it’s also possible that most 2020 voters will be so fed up with Trump that they reward the far leftists with their biggest triumph ever. That would give them the power to take America to a radical new place, the likes of which the nation has never seen."

I find it very hard to believe, Goodwin, that folks will be fed up with 3% unemployment, over 1 million jobs created, a soon to be secure southern border, better trade deals, the defanging of North Korea, an exit strategy from Syria/Afghanistan, a 5 - 4 pubbie majority in the SCOTUS, someone willing to drain the swamp, reduced illegal immigration by over 70%, promotes buying American, damaging isis, lowering taxes, pulling out of the fake Paris climate deal, signing an EO for religious freedom, created a commission to combat opioid addiction, authorized construction of the Keystone and Dakota oil pipelines, fixing the Veterans Affairs department, neutered the msm, and restored American self-respect. There´s much more, Goodwin, but, put down your leftist leanings for minute to understand.

Hillary? Who she? Besides, Dems have a new wonder girl, a socialist shooting star named AOC, who still hasn´t figured out how to get on the Deep State gravy train. But give her time.

"Democrats are leaving Hillary Clinton behind"

Ah, but will they be able to leave the Clintoon ooze and stench behind. There are still investigations ongoing for her emails and other matters. Since she was never brought to trial and found innocent, she is vulnerable to prosecution. If she is tried, or even probed, she will stand out as "this is how dems operate". The radical dems will distance themselves but the stink will have an effect.

For nearly two years, the American public, and quite a few observers overseas, have hung on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s every word and action: each hire, each redaction, each revealing and yet opaque footnote in hundreds of filings. His fans have indulged in devotional candles and meme T-shirts. The document that Mueller delivered to Attorney General William Barr has been so eagerly awaited that its official name might as well be “The Highly Anticipated Mueller Report.” This must be uncomfortable for Mueller, who shuns publicity, doesn’t seem to have much taste for politics, and has maintained a silence

The Southern Poverty Law Center’s problems go well beyond the fact it’s a vicious, left-wing attack dog with no care whatsoever for the reputational and personal harm it causes by lumping Christians and anti-extremist activists with actual neo-Nazis. As it turns out, the SPLC is a cynical money-making scheme, according to a former staffer’s blistering tell-all, published this week in the New Yorker. The center’s chief goal is to bilk naive and wealthy donors who believe it´s an earnest effort to combat bigotry. The only thing worse than a snarling partisan activist is a slimy conman who merely pretends to be one.

Democrats are conspiring to reelect Trump

Watch in slow motion as Democrats, goaded by the media, conspire to reelect President Trump: Voters care about the economy and making education and health care affordable. And so Democrats are talking about . . . abolishing the electoral college? Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) started the latest distraction at a CNN town hall on Monday. “Get rid of the electoral college,” she said, neglecting to mention that this has zero chance of occurring in the foreseeable future. The media took it from there. On Tuesday, MSNBC’s Garrett Haake pressed former representative Beto O’Rourke (Tex.)

Robert Mueller has delivered his report on the Trump-Russia investigation to Attorney General William Barr. Sometime soon, perhaps within hours, Barr will send the report´s "principal conclusions" to Congress. It will first go to the chairperson and ranking member of both the House and Senate Judiciary committees. It is unclear what will happen after that, but certainly other lawmakers will see the document, and there will be a steady stream of leaks of what is in the report. The Mueller investigation is over, and it is apparently the case that Mueller does not recommend any new indictments.

Who is the biggest threat to our constitutional order? It is not President Trump. Ever since Trump took office, Democrats have been telling us he is an authoritarian who threatens our system of government. Well, today it is Democrats who are declaring war on the Constitution. Leading Democrats are promising that, if elected in 2020, they will abolish the Electoral College and might also pack the Supreme Court with liberal justices -- allowing them to marginalize Americans who do not support their increasingly radical agenda and impose it on an unwilling nation. The mainstream media seemed to suffer a collective shock Friday evening after the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller handed its final report of its Russia investigation to the Department of Justice. MSNBC host Chris Matthews seemed livid that neither President Trump, his children, nor his “henchmen” would face any criminal charges from the special counsel. “Maybe he missed the boat here,” Matthews said of Mueller. “Because we know about the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016, we know about the meeting at the cigar bar with Kilimnik [Konstantin Kilimnik, a Russian political consultant].

James Comey claimed in an op-ed Thursday that he does not care one way or the other whether special counsel Robert Mueller finds evidence that President Donald Trump conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election or obstructed the FBI’s collusion probe. But the claim, which Comey made in The New York Times, is at odds with the former FBI director’s testimony about his actions shortly after being fired by Trump in May 2017. Even though we do not yet know exactly what the Mueller Report says, we do now know that no other indictments are in the works. No collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign was found. So, the self-assured and confident predictions by so many on the left that they had seen "cold, hard evidence," and that Mueller would find copious evidence of "collusion" with Russia, was just wishful thinking alone. They all had to know the infamous "dossier" was faked.

First of all, of course everyone should wait to see the contents of the actual Mueller report before drawing any specific final conclusions about it. But here are some laws of nature in the modern age: If that report contained a fraction of the damaging material breathlessly awaited in the media culture for two years, there would be some smoke signal of it. Instead, we saw an actual finding from the Justice Department that there would be no further indictments from the probe. No indictment of Trump.
