Caracas - U.S. President Donald Trump has said military intervention in Venezuela was "an option" as Western nations boost pressure on socialist leader Nicolas Maduro to step down, while the troubled OPEC nation´s ally Russia warned against "destructive meddling." The United States, Canada and several Latin American countries have disavowed Maduro over his disputed re-election last year and recognized self-proclaimed President Juan Guaido as the country´s rightful leader. Trump said U.S. military intervention was under consideration in an interview with CBS aired on Feb. 3. "Certainly, it´s something that´s on the - it´s an

Russia isn´t invested as heavily in Venezuela like they are in a place like Syria. Also, Venezuela was once a Democracy. They will fight if they get the right help.

House Democrats aren’t giving up on attempting to impeach President Trump, even though Speaker Nancy Pelosi all but dismissed it in an interview published Monday. “I happen to disagree with that take,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., told the Washington Examiner Monday night, responding to the Pelosi interview. “But you know, she’s the speaker. … I think we’ll see.” Pelosi told the Washington Post she doesn’t support the House trying to impeach Trump. “He’s just not worth it,” the California Democrat said in the interview. Pelosi’s comments contradict the views of many House Democrats who are eager

Unearthed radio clips have revealed a number of sexist, misogynistic and perverted remarks by Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson. The clips compiled and published Sunday by Media Matters For America were recorded back when Carlson was a regular commentator on the shock jock radio program ´Bubba the Love Sponge´ between 2006 and 2011. For about an hour each week, Carlson would call into the show and weigh in on current events, often sharing controversial opinions in vulgar terms. On several occasions the conservative commentator defended underage marriage and statutory rape while making crude comments about minors exploring their sexuality. He also frequently employed misogynistic

President Trump and his top advisers expressed optimism through the weekend that diplomatic efforts on denuclearization talks with Pyongyang can be revived, despite reports of North Korean ballistic missile and nuclear activity. National Security Adviser John R. Bolton sought to dampen the hype around the prospect that a North Korean missile launch could be imminent after the emergence in recent days of commercial satellite imagery appearing to show cranes at work rebuilding a key test site that Pyongyang previously vowed to destroy. “There’s a lot of activity all the time in North Korea, but I’m not going to

In the digital world, you are what you like. So why was Rashida Tlaib’s official Instagram page following an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist with links to a mosque notorious for its terrorist connections? The account, ‘Free.Palestine.1948’, belongs to a British Muslim who is an accomplished promoter of extremism. Photos of Benjamin Netanyahu with Adolf Hitler are juxtaposed, and a rat superimposed on the Israeli flag. There are repeated claims that the 9/11 attacks were a false-flag operation by ‘the Jews’ or Mossad, that Israel created ISIS and is an ‘apartheid state’, that Tom Watson, deputy leader of the UK’s Labour party,

A new Des Moines Register poll shows Bill de Blasio getting zero interest from likely Democratic caucus-goers as either a first or second presidential choice. Former Vice President Joe Biden — who has yet to announce his candidacy — led the 20-candidate pack as the first choice of 27 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers, and the second choice of 19 percent. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker were the next most popular, in that order. The poll showed de Blasio tied for last place in popularity with Eric Swalwell, Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang.

During he opening monologue, Pirro asked her viewers to think about the fact that Omar wears a hijab while speculating whether the freshman Democrat opposes the U.S. Constitution. Pirro focused on Omar, who recently came under fire for what were seen as anti-Semitic and anti-Israel comments, during her opening monologue. A suspected Russian assassin who MI5 believe was planning to murder an ex-prime minister was barred from entering the UK. Umar Sugaipov was prevented from coming into the country last summer because intelligence suggested he was preparing to kill Akhmed Zakayev, the former Chechen leader and enemy of Vladimir Putin. The decision to block the suspected hitman came five months after Sergei Skripal was the target of a novichok poisoning attack. Sugaipov was judged by British security officials as a ´threat to national security´ and, more specifically, the life of Mr Zakayev who was granted asylum in 2004,

There is a lot happening in Iran as the Supreme Leader shakes things up politically. While Iranians continue to protest about unpaid salaries and long queues for food, Ayatollah Khamenei is busy making preparations. The changes he is making relate to the future of the Islamic Republic and aim to guarantee that when he is gone, his loyal supporters will remain in control. One of his first moves has been to raise the political profile of Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force. He was seen sitting beside the supreme leader when Syrian President Bashar Assad paid an unexpected visit to Tehran two weeks ago.

Millions of North Korean voters, including leader Kim Jong Un, went to the polls today to elect a new lineup of roughly 700 members for the next session of the national legislature . But voters were presented with just one state-sanctioned candidate per seat and cast their ballots not to select but rather to show their approval or, at least theoretically, disapproval of that candidate. The elections, last held in 2014, are for the entire Supreme People´s Assembly, which on paper is the highest organ of power in North Korea. Its delegates come from all over the country and all walks of life. The candidates are selected by the ruling

Treviño asserted Chick-fil-A has a “legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior” and that such a business had no place in the city’s airport. The apparent scoop du jour is that ex-VP Joe Biden is set to announce his bid with his running mate already picked out: former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. Suggestions for his VP thus far have been a who’s-who of the current field of competition for the nomination, including Harris and O’Rourke. Abrams possibly becoming The Chosen One is somewhat surprising, because her star has only so recently begun its ascendency — but not too surprising, because of her fierce intellect, warm demeanor and popularity. Stacey Abrams exudes good sense and kindness, delivered with impeccable poise: that’s the impression most

Barbra Streisand is under fire for comments she made about two men accusing Michael Jackson of sexually assaulting them as children. The legendary singer and actress said that Wade Robson and James Safechuck — whose allegations against the late King of Pop resurfaced in the recent documentary “Leaving Neverland" — “were thrilled to be there” and that what allegedly happened to them “didn’t kill them." Streisand, 76, made the strange comments to British newspaper The Times in a piece out Friday, in which she also said that Jackson’s “sexual needs were his sexual needs.”

Even though we do not yet know exactly what the Mueller Report says, we do now know that no other indictments are in the works. No collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign was found. So, the self-assured and confident predictions by so many on the left that they had seen "cold, hard evidence," and that Mueller would find copious evidence of "collusion" with Russia, was just wishful thinking alone. They all had to know the infamous "dossier" was faked.
