Jayme Closs: Details emerge after Wisconsin
teen vanished for three months

Fox News, by Kathleen Joyce

Original Article

Posted By:toledo, 1/11/2019 11:54:24 AM

Wisconsin police are providing an update on Jayme Closs who was found alive Thursday after a three month disappearance. Closs vanished Oct. 15 after her parents -- James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, -- were gunned down inside their home in Barron County, located about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis. Officials determined Closs was inside the home when her parents were murdered, but then the trail went cold. Closs was eventually placed on the top of the FBI’s kidnapping and missing persons list and, while details were scarce, authorities continued to suggest Closs was alive.

What an excellent ending to a horrible tragic story, but this poor child is gonna spend the rest of her life getting over the entire traumatic experience. I sincerely hope her grandparents can get her the extensive help she will need.

So glad she is alive. It´s frightening to think there are weirdos like the perp out there - and looking for victims.

The story is still tragic. This poor girl had to see her parents murdered and then be held captive and, undoubtedly, abused for nearly three months afterwards. I don´t know how she can recover from this kind of trauma. Elizabeth Smart had a family to return to. Jayme has been orphaned.

Wisconsin does not have a formal death penalty. But maybe they can send this cretin to the same jail that they sent Jeffrey Damler. The residents of that place took care of that problem.

Good news. Years ago I also thought Elizabeth Smart would not be found alive. Yet she was.

And ´yes´, the kidnapper does resemble the cop in the picture. Close enough that Patterson could play the older man.

To me the girl looks older than 13.

This poor girl needs to see proper justice. She should be the one to throw the switch/needle/lever that kills this monster. And I don´t care what demons he had or lived through-my sympathy ends when he shot those people in cold blood.

I wonder if the internet was somehow involved. There had to be some way for this guy to know something about her. How would he randomly pick a house 60 miles from where he lived and know who was there? There is a lot to be learned about this case. I am so happy for her and her family that she survived..

The college admissions scandal should be the populist issue of our time. Most of the talk in our politics about how “the system is rigged” is incredibly abstract and symbolic. But this is infuriatingly concrete. On Tuesday, the Justice Department revealed a massive effort by wealthy parents and a shady “admissions consultant” to bribe and cheat their way into getting kids into a slew of elite schools. Prosecutors say William Singer, the ringleader, sold two forms of services. For tens of thousands of dollars, parents could pay to have a proctor correct

If Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez had grown up as I did during the Cold War in the 50´s the very last thing she would be promoting would be socialism. Granted our circumstances were very different as my family was dysfunctional, poor and we lived in the tough streets of Spanish Harlem; unlike the new Democrat congresswoman who spent most of her teen years in a more posh neighborhood. Nevertheless I benefited from a solid parochial education taught by anti-Marxist nuns.

Michael Bloomberg will not run for president in 2020, the billionaire businessman wrote in a statement posted online on Tuesday, ending months of speculation about the political future of one of the Democratic Party’s top donors. Bloomberg, a former mayor of New York, had been toying with the idea of a presidential run for months and was floated as a candidate in every presidential cycle going back to 2008. As recently as the past two months, aides to Bloomberg had been interviewing potential staffers in Iowa and New Hampshire, early contests in the Democratic primary.

As the 2020 election nears, there is as yet no coherent Democratic response to the Trump agenda. If Trump himself is unpopular and polarizing, his agenda is for the most part in sync with a majority of Americans who like the 3% annualized GDP growth; near-record peacetime unemployment; record natural gas and oil production; young, scholarly and constructionist justices; pro-Israel Mideast politics; and realism about NATO laxity, the flawed Iran Deal, and the Paris Climate Accord, Chinese mercantilism, and the past inability of the U.S. to translate battlefield victories abroad into lasting security and strategic advantages.

The trend comes as Americans have shown greater support in recent years for a more democratic presidential election process, without the translational risks of the electoral college. Six deaths, all involving men with connections to protests in Ferguson, Missouri, drew attention on social media and speculation in the activist community that something sinister was at play. Police say there is no evidence the deaths have anything to do with the protests stemming from a white police officer´s fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown, and that only two were homicides with no known link to the protests.

Twelve Senate Republicans stopped Donald Trump from invoking a national emergency to pay for a wall on the southern border last Friday…three times as many senators than needed to pass it. That’s the good news. The bad news? Even more Republicans will be needed to override Trump’s veto. What’s worse is the fact that if more Republicans don’t join Democrats in overriding this veto they will provide Trump even more power when he has a history of not acting in the best interest of our country.
