Just 6 immigrants stopped at border
were on terror watch list: report

New York Post, by Bob Fredericks

President Trump and other top administration officials have tried to stoke fears of terrorism to back their claim that there is a security “crisis” on the Mexican border — but the feds stopped just six immigrants at the border who were on a list of suspected terrorists. US Customs and Border Protection encountered only a half-dozen immigrants on the US-Mexico border in the first half of fiscal year 2018 whose names were on the feds’ list of known or suspected terrorists, NBC News reported, citing CBP data. The facts contradict White House spokeswoman

Comments:
If believed, only 6 who were on the watch list. This ´study´ is too weak to even refute it.
What happened to ´if it only saves one life...´?

Of course only 6. The others were smart enough to cross the border undetected.

Six actual terrorist can do a lot of damage, as in 9/11. And the study only gives the number of the first six months of last year.

Build the confounded wall.

How much damage can only six terrorists cause?

I mean - - it´s not like they could fly planes into buildings and kill thousands of Americans - - is it?

That´s one terrorist a month, with mosques all over the country to provide funding, and arms caches. The muslims are at war with us. The Democrats invite them in, support them, and when they murder us, call it a law enforcement matter, rather than placing this under war regulations, where it belongs.

This reminds of the article that said welfare recipients shouldn´t be tested for drugs, because nobody had tested positive during the initial trial. I read it just the opposite, that the testing worked to scare substance abusers away. Wasn´t that the goal? Same thing with border security. The fewer terrorists we find the better, meaning we´re keeping them out!

This is not an accurate recounting of what NBC said. The NBC report said that 6 were encountered at "PORTS OF ENTRY". That means there were only 6 stupid enough to try and walk through the front door.

Many, many more have been encountered trying to cross illegally, NOT AT PORTS OF ENTRY. This is one example of a blatant and organized attempt at a disinformation campaign in advance of the President´s speech tonight.

It represents a subtle, but critical, change to the actual story. It´s also a flat out lie.

The mother of a 7-year-old girl who died while in US custody this month was too despondent to attend her daughter’s funeral in an impoverished mountain village in Guatemala on Christmas Day. Religious songs were played at the gravesite, where about 150 people gathered. But it was too much for her mother and grandfather, said her uncle Jose Manuel Caal, 33.

The Fight for $15 isn’t living up to its promise. For years, liberals have claimed that the minimum wage needs to increase to $15 an hour to provide a living wage for full-time workers. The stated goal, as socialist Sen. California and New York are phasing in a statewide $15 an hour minimum wage. Numerous cities, including Seattle, Minneapolis and Washington D.C., have passed $15 an hour minimum wage
