How Democrats Teach

In turning a blind eye or taking a blasé attitude to illegal immigration, Democrats are actually encouraging or even teaching these immigrants to be criminals, that crime pays. Don´t believe me. Believe Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut. After all, it was Blumenthal who was scholarly enough to remind us at the Kavanaugh hearings of the importance of that apothegm of Roman law "falsus in uno falsus in omnibus" (false in one thing, false in everything). It´s no great stretch to say that by allowing people to enter our country "undocumented" (i. e. break the law), Democrats are simply telling

Don’t be silly, Rogers. This faux border enforcement game is bi-partisan, with full Republican support. It’s why Trump gets no wall. The Dem vs GOPe standoff is for public consumption by the howling boobs’ amusement and fundraising.

There is no doubt now after two years of President Trump trying to fund an effective borderline barrier to keep future massive numbers of intending illegal aliens and large quantities of dangerous illicit drugs out of the USA as the American people elected him to do, that Trump is up against entrenched DC Uniparty political agendas and opposition.

Imagine what the leftist and liberal Democrats could do politically if they could through their so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty” grant an amnesty to the 22 million illegal aliens and then through their “Path to Citizenship” program flip the vast majority of those mostly all poor, uneducated, and socialist oriented people into “New American” voters, knowing that the vast majority would be natural and reliable socialist oriented Democrat voters? Bottom line the wimpy Republicans would be headed for political oblivion.

The “Chamber of Commerce” supporting Republican political agenda is much simpler, they just want to ensure the facilitation of as much cheap foreign labor into the USA as possible that can be hired by their business supporters at a low wage. Beyond that the wimpy Uniparty Republicans don’t have a clue.

In the face of that entrenched DC Uniparty opposition President Trump can only do what is legally and politically possible.

Okay, I’m managing to stifle my non-stop laughter at the “Green New Deal,” sobered partly by the realization that our coveted Green Weenie Award is not big enough to cover the serial madness that will be the Green New Deal once the specifics of it start to take shape in actual legislative proposals. Right now it is at the vague generalization stage. Except that environmentalists are making clear what they don’t want, and it turns out to be just about anything that might actually work as scale to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. From Grist: Congress is currently preoccupied

As in many major cities in the U..S run by Democrats, you have to be fabulously rich or wretchedly poor to live in New York City. Either you have the money to live in the rent-controlled, gentrified neighborhoods or you need government assistance. If I lived in the Big Apple and were rich, I´d start looking at properties in Connecticut. Mayor Bill de Blasio recently announced the most ambitious health care plan in America, covering the 600,000 New Yorkers who don´t have health insurance -- including illegal aliens. More than 30 students at the University of Texas have been doxxed by a student antifa group, typically for the crime of joining conservative clubs or being spotted at lectures held by conservative speakers. The doxxers — calling themselves Austin Autonomous Media (AAM) — are a small collective of UT students. Since fall 2018, AAM members have snuck into conservative club meetings, taken photos of attendees, and posted students’ names and emails online. The AAM also typically posts students’ phone numbers and employers. For example, one young woman was doxxed for the crime of attending a pro-Kavanaugh rally. "Call [employer redacted]

As the government shutdown took its toll, Washington DC assumed the unfamiliar aspect of a city going through hard times. “It’s like a ghost city — totally dead. ... When other parts of the country suffered during the Great Recession, the area around the nation’s capital boomed.” But now the shoe is on the other foot. People have often heard the phrase "to be someone" but whether you can prove you are that one has never been easy. The Microsoft blog notes that having an identity is necessary for just about anything these days. "In the U.S. and abroad, fundamental rights and services like voting, healthcare, housing and education are tethered to legal proof of identification – you can’t participate if you don’t have it. Yet nearly one in six people worldwide – the majority of them being women, children and refugees – live without it. The lack of legal documentation not only strips

Donald Trump’s decision to pull ground troops out of Syria, followed hard by Defense Secretary Mattis’ resignation effective January 1, has sparked the usual complaints about the unpredictable, shoot-from-the-hip president. And as usual, the most important issue underlying the debate over his decision is ignored––our failure to settle on a coherent, long-term foreign policy strategy. Apart from the by now reflexive NeverTrump harrumphing, more sober commentators have made serious arguments both for staying and for leaving. The most compelling of the former are the risks of ceding more regional influence to Russia and Iran. Both of these rivals are

The SPLC targeted Glen Keith Allen over his former ties to the National Alliance (NA), a white nationalist group. In doing so, the liberal group allegedly violated laws and legal codes of conduct by receiving and then paying for stolen documents in violation of confidentiality agreements. The group went after Allen with the intent of getting him fired by the city of Baltimore and permanently destroying his future prospects. The holidays are a time for family gatherings and, in keeping with that tradition, one evening our family gathered around for a fun, but rather challenging building block game called Jenga. The game becomes more and more exciting for both the players and onlookers, especially as it gets closer to the visually unstable ending, where one bad-move, as President Trump might call it, will cause the tall stack of building blocks to come crashing down. But, suffice to say, as we sat around enjoying each of our grandchildren attempt to delicately remove each block without causing the entire structure to fall down, the thought came

President Trump´s withdrawal of 2,000 U.S. Special Forces from Syria elicited a chorus of self-righteous denunciations from the foreign policy Establishment, as well as expressions of concern from his supporters. Coming from the neo-conservatives, that is chutzpah, a Yiddish-Aramaic word that connotes unmitigated gall. It was the neo-cons, not Trump, who created the present mess in Syria that Trump must address as best he can. Trump´s impulsiveness serves him well on many occasions, but this was not one of them. It humiliated not only Defense Secretary Mattis but also National Security Adviser John Bolton, who stated clearly that U.S. troops

The representative went on to say that the mistake was made by the company’s content review team – which is comprised of 15,000 members – and that the company has since restored Graham’s account

The Nobel Prize-winning scientist, who with Francis Crick and Rosalind Franklin discovered the double-helix structure of DNA, has been embroiled in controversy for more than a decade. In 2007 he lost his job at Cold Spring Harbour Laboratory for making racist remarks, but retained three honorary titles there including chancellor emeritus. However, following a new documentary in which he said these views had not changed, and told interviewers genes were responsible for a difference

The Fight for $15 isn’t living up to its promise. For years, liberals have claimed that the minimum wage needs to increase to $15 an hour to provide a living wage for full-time workers. The stated goal, as socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders writes on his website, is straightforward, “We must ensure that no full-time worker lives in poverty.” In one way, the campaign has been remarkably successful. California and New York are phasing in a statewide $15 an hour minimum wage. Numerous cities, including Seattle, Minneapolis and Washington D.C., have passed $15 an hour minimum wage
