Top 50 Conservative Websites for 2018
PJ Media, by Paula Bolyard

Original Article

The media has been in a near constant state of flux over the last decade and 2018 was no exception. The decline of print media along with constant changes in algorithms at Facebook, Google, and other platforms means that the playing field is constantly shifting and changing as publications and websites seek to reach the largest possible audience while eking out enough revenue to stay afloat. Some fared well in 2018´s volatile media market while others, like The Weekly Standard and the Independent Journal Review (IJR), struggled to survive. For the second year in a row, The Drudge Report topped

This LDotter hasn´t visited the #1 "conservative" site in the past decade, which I find to be a sort of drudgery. There is nothing of any importance there that I can´t find here. There are some websites on this list I haven´t heard of, and should visit.

Nice to see Lucianne on the list. 32 is a little low, but still not bad.
Was a little disappointed at Bearing Arms being at 50. Its a great site. Maybe if they would fix the problem on the comments page of losing the edge of the paragraph it would help. That and all the posts of Ungawa Mugabee making his millions. just follow this URL...

Why is Drudge considered conservative? He just has links to various columns and expresses no political viewpoints. He has links to many libs such as the odious David Corn. Luci is No 1 with me.

Thanks for posting. Some of these sites are new to me. L-dot being #32 means that a lot of folks are missing out, although I think that our more coarse tone this past year has probably hurt us. On some threads the saloon talk gets pretty flagrant. YMMV, of course.

I still check Drudge every day, but he regularly disappoints me. Perhaps one of these other websites will fill his place in my morning reading.

Lucianne at #32, much lower than the despicable Against Trump National Review. We could improve on this if we readers posted more. This was the site that brought the Clintons down.

The last time I saw a list like this, Lucianne wasn´t even on it. It left me questioning who makes these lists. Somebody could easily make lists in an attempt to direct online traffic.

Nice to see Lucianne made the list this time, but they probably should be higher. Somebody could be trying to get more traffic for the NeverTrump sites.

I discovered Western Journal on this list, and it replaced Whatfinger on my homepage. Whatfinger had previously replaced Drudge, but I don´t care for its layout.

These aggregators tend to raise my blood pressure by emphasizing the stupid and vicious things that leftists are saying. Typically I just open the Wall Street Journal and scan the headlines, which can still be annoying but not as much. And WSJ does have a lot of good content that can be "Outlined" if you want to read it.

And then, of course, come here to vent.

Okay, I’m managing to stifle my non-stop laughter at the “Green New Deal,” sobered partly by the realization that our coveted Green Weenie Award is not big enough to cover the serial madness that will be the Green New Deal once the specifics of it start to take shape in actual legislative proposals. Right now it is at the vague generalization stage. Except that environmentalists are making clear what they don’t want, and it turns out to be just about anything that might actually work as scale to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. More than 30 students at the University of Texas have been doxxed by a student antifa group, typically for the crime of joining conservative clubs or being spotted at lectures held by conservative speakers. Since fall 2018, AAM members have snuck into conservative club meetings, taken photos of attendees, and posted students’ names and emails online. Donald Trump’s decision to pull ground troops out of Syria, followed hard by Defense Secretary Mattis’ resignation effective January 1, has sparked the usual complaints about the unpredictable, shoot-from-the-hip president. And as usual, the most important issue underlying the debate over his decision is ignored––our failure to settle on a coherent, long-term foreign policy strategy. Apart from the by now reflexive NeverTrump harrumphing, more sober commentators have made serious arguments both for staying and for leaving. The most compelling of the former are the risks of ceding more regional influence to Russia and Iran. Both of these rivals are

In turning a blind eye or taking a blasé attitude to illegal immigration, Democrats are actually encouraging or even teaching these immigrants to be criminals, that crime pays. Don´t believe me. Believe Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut. After all, it was Blumenthal who was scholarly enough to remind us at the Kavanaugh hearings of the importance of that apothegm of Roman law "falsus in uno falsus in omnibus" (false in one thing, false in everything). The holidays are a time for family gatherings and, in keeping with that tradition, one evening our family gathered around for a fun, but rather challenging building block game called Jenga. The game becomes more and more exciting for both the players and onlookers, especially as it gets closer to the visually unstable ending, where one bad-move, as President Trump might call it, will cause the tall stack of building blocks to come crashing down. But, suffice to say, as we sat around enjoying each of our grandchildren attempt to delicately remove each block without causing the entire structure to fall down, the thought came

Coming from the neo-conservatives, that is chutzpah, a Yiddish-Aramaic word that connotes unmitigated gall. It was the neo-cons, not Trump, who created the present mess in Syria that Trump must address as best he can. Trump´s impulsiveness serves him well on many occasions, but this was not one of them. The Fight for $15 isn’t living up to its promise. For years, liberals have claimed that the minimum wage needs to increase to $15 an hour to provide a living wage for full-time workers. The stated goal, as socialist Sen. California and New York are phasing in a statewide $15 an hour minimum wage. Numerous cities, including Seattle, Minneapolis and Washington D.C., have passed $15 an hour minimum wage
