Judicial Nightmare: Jeff Flake Has
Pretty Much Destroyed His
Party´s Agenda On Judges This Year

Townhall, by Matt Vespa

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) is leaving, but not quietly. The immensely unpopular Republican has decided to totally trash his party’s judicial agenda. Flake is the key 11th vote on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and he’s not budging until Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell holds a binding vote on a bill protecting Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Department of Justice’s Russia investigation. It’s frustrating. It’s deplorable. And it just comes to show you why Flake would never have won re-election if he decided to execute a suicidal banzai charge concerning that effort.

What does he gain? Will he ever be able to win a Rebublican seat to any office again? Unlikely. Will he get a great lobbyist job? I doubt any Rebublican will take him seriously after this. Is he about to switch parties and run as a Democrat? Ah, now things make sense. We may be witnessing the end of the RINO class as they learn they no longer can win as lying Rebublicans.

So what is to stop McConnell from stripping Flake of everything and letting him be a back bench seat warmer for the next three weeks? Do we the voters have to come up with everything?

The Senate Republican leadership should remove Flake from that Committee and appoint some other real Republican Senator so that the Senate Republican agenda can move forward.

Remember how many times we´ve heard that any Republican is better than any Democrat and we always need to support the ticket?

For decades we´ve heard that on this site from a group dedicated to the preservation of the Republican establishment. In reality, there are absolutely Republicans who do more damage than a Democrat because they do it within the tent, and they do it to the approbation of leftist media looking for confirmation of dishonest narratives and division within the party.

We need to primary these people and remove them from our party roster. Failing that effort, we need to vote for a Democrat who will do less damage unless it cost us control.

Remember how McConnell was a genius who would get all of our confirmation through despite being manifestly ineffective at opposing Obama and leading on behalf of conservatism?

Let´s see what Mitch does now.

I wrote a book on anti-Semitism, taught Jewish history at Brooklyn College, and fought anti-Semitism since I was 21, when Israel sent me into the Soviet Union to smuggle in Jewish religious items and smuggle out Jewish names.
