When they go after ‘Baby It’s Cold
Outside,’ you know #MeToo
has gone mad

New York Post, by Andrea Peyser

Original Article

Posted By:mc squared, 12/5/2018 9:54:47 AM

Dump the eggnog and strip the lights from the Hanukah bush, because the #MeToo movement is coming for holiday fun. #MeToo, which started out as a righteous campaign to stamp out sexual harassment and predation, has gone stark raving bonkers. Its latest target: the innocent, consensual kiss underneath the mistletoe and a beloved duet that celebrates it. The charming ditty “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is all about heterosexual flirtation and attempted seduction. Penned by Frank Loesser in 1944, it’s been covered by the likes of Bing Crosby, Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé, among many others.

Comments:
May I suggest other holiday songs that should be done away with:
All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth - promotes bullying and spousal abuse.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause - legitimizes hanky-panky under Christmas flora.

Grandma Got Run Over - Ugh! Banned on general principles.

Funny how #METOO hasn’t gone after rap music. I use the term “music” sarcastically.

Why don’t they find a problem with how women are portrayed in that garbage ??

A rhetorical question. I know why.

This is another example of the mass insanity that is affecting our Country . . .

As Poster #1 points out, what about the rap / hip-hop lyrics that degrade women as "ho´s" and sex objects??? Any action planned here??

And yet, what if a conservative Christian group had protested this song because of out-of-wedlock hanky-panky?

I love it when the Left goes so far left that it finds itself on the right.

It´s unfortunate that these agitators are given any form of legitimacy by putting their news story out there for people to read about them. I can´t imagine even THEY believe this nonsense, but it gets them noticed, and the higher goal: donations. Run of the mill stories about a guy and a girl just don´t gin up interest the way something idiotic does - so that´s the path they take.

What? A song with a sexual subtext? I´m shocked. But then I realized that Loesser also wrote "Standin´ on the Corner." What misogyny! And "Guys and Dolls"? The name says it all. If there are any monuments to this beast, let´s tear them down now. Let´s pull up all the stars on Hollywood Blvd naming anyone who ever sang one of his songs. Let´s pull the blanket over our heads and suck our thumb until this all goes away.

Gee, I thought the PoundMeToo movement was about men forcing women to have sex against their will.

And I thought feminazism was about women having the freedom to be as slutty as they wanted.

So how is a song about gentle flirtation, where two consenting adults play a little flirty game of seduction, in any way about a man FORCING a woman to do anything against her will?!?!?!?!?!? And if she does end up staying because it´s cold outside, and they have sex, isn´t that just freedom for the woman to control our own body?!?!?!?!?

But I guess the feminazis in the PoundMeToo movement believe that women are so defenseless that any time a man flirts with a woman, it is just one step away from guaranteed rape!!!!!

Wow, there are times when I am seriously embarrassed for other women!!!! This is one of those times!!!!!

This is totally not surprising. I was told recently that my favorite childhood game, Clue, is racist. Yup. No people of color, no hyphenated characters and no gays. Also, it’s an “elitist” game because who has a ballroom or candlestick except rich people.
Never mind that the characters in the game are ALL people of color: Mr GREEN, Miss SCARLETT, Colonel MUSTARD. There are obviously only certain colors that matter.

The mother of a 7-year-old girl who died while in US custody this month was too despondent to attend her daughter’s funeral in an impoverished mountain village in Guatemala on Christmas Day. Friends and relatives took turns carrying Jakelin Caal’s white casket along a muddy road in San Antonio Secortez to a tiny cemetery — some 2,000 miles from where she died in an El Paso, Texas, hospital on Dec. 8. Religious songs were played at the gravesite, where about 150 people gathered. But it was too much for her mother and grandfather, said her uncle Jose Manuel Caal, 33.

The Fight for $15 isn’t living up to its promise. For years, liberals have claimed that the minimum wage needs to increase to $15 an hour to provide a living wage for full-time workers. The stated goal, as socialist Sen.
