Dem Ben McAdams defeats GOP´s Mia
Love for Utah House seat

Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams (D) defeated incumbent GOP Rep. Mia Love by fewer than 700 votes in a hotly contested race for Utah’s 4th Congressional District, turning the district blue for the first time in six years. The race had been initially too close to call, with both McAdams and Love at different points taking a slight edge over each other. In the end, the Associated Press called the race for the Democrat on Nov. 20. Polls had showed McAdams with a slight edge over Love, with Sabato´s Crystal Ball shifting her race from a “toss-up” to “leans

Of course the Democrat wins! Election Day vote counts are meaningless what happens the two weeks after as Democrats continue counting newly found votes is what really matters. According to the msm Republicans steal elections and Democrats win elections that’s the new meme!

Did a Republican win any close races in the House after election day. I think the Democrats have won all of them. And it won´t be over. The Democrats will file ethics charges against the Republicans that did win, force them to recuse themselves from their jobs, very nearly force them out of the country, which is expected next.

I listen to the Utah talk radio station a lot on iHeart radio. I wasn´t aware that Mia Love was an anti-trumper. In listening to the Utah pundits, her defeat had to do with same-day registration and voting which was directly related to the pot initiative on the ballot. Pot heads always vote Democrat. This statement is not my opinion; just what I heard.

If the race had been close like this, but reversed - the demonrats would have kept the election going until they ´found´ enough votes to beat the republican.

PS: Thanks, Utah, for putting Willard in the Senate. You could have voted for a Republican opponent in the PRIMARY election.

There is no way the GOP will retake the House in 2020. It does not matter how errant the Dems become in the next two years, they will hold the House for some time to come. Watch them pour money into senate races in 2020. They want it all back and will cheat massively to get it.

I am a Utah voter who never thought a Republican would lose that seat. Mia just didn’t show well in her tenure. Trump has a very strong Mormon base here. Not proud to admit two 18 year old grandsons who voted put one mark on their ballot, for marijuana legalization, which Mormon Church opposed. So the marijuana issue may have helped defeat Mia. My question: why do we allow 18 year old high school seniors to vote?

Before the 2020 election, Trump will need to get the voting mess fixed. It was rigged, badly, and has been for most elections for a long time. The only reason Trump won was no one but us patriots took him seriously. We need new laws on the books or to enforce the ones that say proof of identity before voting and you MUST be a legitimate American. I had a bad feeling about this election from the start. I´d read little stories here and there, about democrats winning local state elections, sponsored by Soros. There was no way this was good.

#16,#18- Putting a stop to voter fraud is an absolute necessity to preserving this country as founded. The brazenness of such theft is, and should be, an insult to every decent, law-abiding, patriotic American; it is an insult to the Founding Fathers, an insult to all who fought and died for this country here and abroad. It is shameful, reprehensible, despicable to say the very least. If voter fraud is not addressed and remedied, not only will Republicans lose in politics, but the country will suffer array of egregious assaults and interventions on multiple facets of moral society as already evidenced by the immorality already permeating this once God-fearing nation due to the of the encroachment of liberalism. It is quite likely the Left’s agenda will first include the dissolution of the Electoral College, closely followed by restriction of religious freedom as demonstrated by the posthaste pursuit of litigation to silence and/or restrict people of faith who have dared to refuse a variety of professional services to members of the LGBT community because of their religious convictions. Prayers for President Trump, his family, this country would be most appropriate.

Conservatives in Utah know Mia Love. She depressed her own base by doing pretty much what my Texas Congressman Mac Thornberry thinks is so clever. She never came out exactly against President Trump but she never wanted to be seen openly supporting him either. Trump supporters did not appreciate that. She came in as a Tea Party conservative and didn’t join the HFC. She wasn’t for a wall and had a soft spot for DACA. She decided to stick with Ryan and the leadership over the President. She wouldn’t go on Mark Levin show and other conservative talk shows. President Trump could have helped her. She really messed up. Bye Mia.

I didn´t vote for either, but 3rd party instead.
According to her own statements and stances, Mia was a Libertarian, not a Republican.
She photo-bombed Pres Trump so she looked like she was with him, while she opposed him most of the time.
When a Mormon got arrested in a foreign country she was all up in Trump´s face until he got the guy out.
But she was a lousy congressperson.
She remained in the Congressional Black Caucus even after it voted to try to impeach Trump.
At least McAdams has a history of bi-partisanship as well as a promise to oppose Pelosi.

President Trump has been turned down by Democrats for a sensible border barrier, so he will declare a national emergency in accordance with a law Congress passed in 1976. Somehow, following a law Congress passed gets Trump labeled as a dictator. Here is the case for declaring a national emergency: Tens of thousands of people die each year from drug overdoses and a huge percentage of those drugs comes across the porous southern border illegally. The GOP Majority Leader in the Senate persuaded President Donald Trump to not veto the GOP’s flawed border security bill by promising to back a national emergency construction of border walls, according to insider leaks to the establishment media. The Washington Post reported that “Trump had been leaning against supporting the congressional spending bill but relented after several conversations with [Majority Leader Sen. The two hottest commodities in the Democratic Party are Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Earlier this week, Omar exhibited stunning ignorance in her hostile questioning of Elliott Adams Abrams. Similarly, Ocasio-Cortez has often displayed a surprising lack of knowledge for someone who apparently is a college graduate. Don’t get me started on the “Green New Socialism.” But she outdid herself yesterday. The context was Amazon’s announcement that it would not, after all, build a second corporate headquarters in Long Island City, which I understand is close to, but not within, Ocasio-Cortez’s district. The project reportedly would have entailed

Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld launched a presidential exploratory committee in New Hampshire Friday, making him the first Republican officially eying a longshot GOP primary challenge to President Donald Trump. “I’m here because I think our country is in grave peril,” Weld said at an announcement at a “Politics and Eggs” breakfast in New Hampshire, a frequent stop for presidential candidates. “I cannot sit quietly on the sidelines any longer.” "We cannot sit passively as our precious democracy slips quietly into darkness," he said. Weld, who served as governor in the Bay State from 1991 to 1997, was the Libertarian Party

WASHINGTON— What is happening to the Democrats? Captivated by a handful of liberal superstars, they are venturing where the party has long feared to tread: Steep taxes on the rich. Abolishing an immigration enforcement agency. Proposing "economic transformation" to combat climate change. Gleefully waving goodbye to a big business — and its jobs. On Thursday, newly-elected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez led a chorus of cheers as Amazon announced it was abandoning plans to build a sought-after headquarters in New York City. Activists berated the online giant for a $3 billion package of tax breaks she said the city could better invest

Andrew McCabe is a national disgrace. He was part of the most corrupt and most partisan leadership team in FBI history and was fired for being dishonest under oath. And yet, America owes him a big thank-you. McCabe, you see, has reminded us once again that there really is a powerful deep state, and that there has not been a full accounting of rampant FBI misconduct during the presidential campaign of 2016. There is also still too much we don’t know about the role top aides to then-President Barack Obama and higher-ups in the Justice Department

WASHINGTON – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s relationship with boyfriend Riley Roberts is official. Roberts has been granted a government “house.gov” email address so he can access Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional calendar, the 29-year-old congresswoman confirmed Friday. Spouses of members of Congress are afforded privileges, such as a House email address, a congressional pin to bypass security and a House license plate to enter Capitol grounds and enjoy parking privileges, House aides say. While he’s not officially a spouse, Roberts can have access to House email for calendar purposes, according to the office of the Chief Administrative Officer of the House. “From time to

Andrew McCabe on Friday denied that he knew of an effort to oust President Trump using the 25th Amendment, saying he never had “any extended discussions” about the matter and was unaware of such talks. “At no time did Mr. McCabe participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions,” his spokeswoman, Melissa Schwartz, said in a statement on Twitter, adding that his remarks about the issue were taken out of context. She said McCabe “was present and participated in a discussion that included a comment by Deputy Attorney
