Stacey Abrams Says She Was Almost
Blocked From Voting In Georgia Election

National Public Radio, by Jessica Taylor

Democrat Stacey Abrams isn´t backing down from her fight against what she calls voter suppression tactics and election mismanagement after losing the Georgia governor´s race. In fact, Abrams said she experienced the problems in her state firsthand — after nearly being denied a ballot during early voting. In an interview with Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee said that when she went to vote last month, a poll worker initially told her that she had requested an absentee ballot and couldn´t cast an in-person vote. Abrams replied that she never filed for an absentee ballot, and after

Who to believe...the poll worker with records, or a potential voter with an agenda?

If she did not request an absentee ballot in her name, then who did? Another dim Dem who can´t see how easily fraud could be committed, even if they weren´t the one doing it.

Let´s take bets on how many times she actually voted! Yeah, She DEFINITELY knows the system. This is the reason absentee ballots should be discontinued except for military members and college students; also discontinue early voting, PERIOD. Use voter ID to register and vote in person on election day. How can the Board Elections show a person requested an absentee ballot if he/she did not. I have been voting for decades and have never had a single problem. It is the way that elections are run in certain States that are the underlying problem; the same for
people that own property in multiple States
and can easily vote in each State. Our elections are rife with fraud.MANDATORY voting in-person is the only way to resolve this situation.

She´s right, she was almost denied a vote because there are not enough checks on identity. Everyone that votes should have to identify themselves using government id. and an absentee ballot should require the same or equivalent protections. Protect Stacy Abrams´ vote! Require voter id!

They would have handed her a Provisional Ballot. These are held and checked later (supposedly) if and when a vote by mail ballot shows up.

Vote by mail ballots must be signed on the envelope. If signature does not match voter’s signature on record (we sign when we register and we sign every time we vote at the polls) it is tossed.

She was not denied a vote. She is just not bright and a racialist. Bad combo.

I almost gave Bill Nelson credit for conceding graciously but now he is claiming fraud and theft. Let´s face it, Stacey Abrams was lucky to do as well as she did in red state Georgia. If there was fraud, it probably went in her favor.

This woman is an embarrassment to my state of Georgia and how I wish she would go away, perhaps to California. She admitted on a news clip the other day that she plans to run again for political office - so I believe now that is her motive for carrying on the way she is. She wants to keep herself in the news as much as she can. I wouldn´t vote for her for sewer cleaner (if there is such a job)!

And just a note to those who may not know - in Georgia you are required to show picture ID before voting (and of course this is something that Abrams wants to get rid of).

The GOP Majority Leader in the Senate persuaded President Donald Trump to not veto the GOP’s flawed border security bill by promising to back a national emergency construction of border walls, according to insider leaks to the establishment media. The Washington Post reported that “Trump had been leaning against supporting the congressional spending bill but relented after several conversations with [Majority Leader Sen. Mitch] McConnell, who then announced his agreement to go along with an emergency declaration.” One reason for Trump’s last-minute opposition is that congressional leaders conducted the negotiations without significant White House involvement.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld launched a presidential exploratory committee in New Hampshire Friday, making him the first Republican officially eying a longshot GOP primary challenge to President Donald Trump. “I’m here because I think our country is in grave peril,” Weld said at an announcement at a “Politics and Eggs” breakfast in New Hampshire, a frequent stop for presidential candidates. “I cannot sit quietly on the sidelines any longer.” "We cannot sit passively as our precious democracy slips quietly into darkness," he said. Weld, who served as governor in the Bay State from 1991 to 1997, was the Libertarian Party

The two hottest commodities in the Democratic Party are Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Earlier this week, Omar exhibited stunning ignorance in her hostile questioning of Elliott Adams Abrams. Similarly, Ocasio-Cortez has often displayed a surprising lack of knowledge for someone who apparently is a college graduate. Don’t get me started on the “Green New Socialism.” But she outdid herself yesterday. The context was Amazon’s announcement that it would not, after all, build a second corporate headquarters in Long Island City, which I understand is close to, but not within, Ocasio-Cortez’s district. The project reportedly would have entailed

WASHINGTON— What is happening to the Democrats? Captivated by a handful of liberal superstars, they are venturing where the party has long feared to tread: Steep taxes on the rich. Abolishing an immigration enforcement agency. Proposing "economic transformation" to combat climate change. Gleefully waving goodbye to a big business — and its jobs. On Thursday, newly-elected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez led a chorus of cheers as Amazon announced it was abandoning plans to build a sought-after headquarters in New York City. Activists berated the online giant for a $3 billion package of tax breaks she said the city could better invest

Washington — Millions of Americans are waiting for Robert Mueller to give them the final word on whether the Trump campaign conspired with the 2016 Russian election interference effort — and whether their president is under the influence of a foreign adversary. Millions of Americans may be sorely disappointed. Unless Mueller files a detailed indictment charging members of the Trump campaign with conspiring with Russia, the public may never learn the full scope of what Mueller and his team has found — including potentially scandalous behavior that doesn´t amount to a provable crime.

Andrew McCabe is a national disgrace. He was part of the most corrupt and most partisan leadership team in FBI history and was fired for being dishonest under oath. And yet, America owes him a big thank-you. McCabe, you see, has reminded us once again that there really is a powerful deep state, and that there has not been a full accounting of rampant FBI misconduct during the presidential campaign of 2016. There is also still too much we don’t know about the role top aides to then-President Barack Obama and higher-ups in the Justice Department

Move over, Speaker Pelosi, and make room for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill deBlasio as Democrats waking up to the disaster the rise of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is inflicting on the Democratic Party. She is no longer just a potential threat to their schemes and operating principles, she has taken a wrecking ball to them. Trust me: they desperately want to be rid of her but, due to her media presence and popularity with the young and ignorant, cannot visibly stick the shiv in her back.
