Abrams Acknowledges Defeat in Georgia

‘This Is Not a Speech of Concession’

Democrat Stacey Abrams acknowledged she had lost the Georgia governor´s race to Republican Brian Kemp on Friday, but she said it was not a concession speech in a fiery indictment of her opponent and the state´s election procedures. "I acknowledge that former secretary of state Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial elections, but to watch an elected official who claims to represent the people in the state baldly pin his hopes for election on the suppression of the people´s democratic right to vote has been truly appalling," Abrams said. "So let´s be clear. This

I half way blame the adoring media. Their constant refrain of "first female", "first black", etc., put her on a pedestal and she and everyone thought that she would win!! Evidently, she is very educated, but still stupid to vent such mean and ungracious statements. Showing her true colors, who would want her in control with her temper?
She is like all the black women who have saved their homes and raised their children without a man, but this one, unfortunately, has gone too bitter and thus, unattractive!

THE most significant takeaway for me re: this election was the sainted Oprah speaking for Abrams purely along racial lines---take THAT all you white, middle class housewives who adore Winfrey and buy her mag. So Oprah is NOT so fair and balanced after all, just as she is not the generous saint giving away cars DONATED BY THE CAR COMPANIES! Where does she, actually, differ from an Al Sharpton, citing lynchings 100 years ago as a reason to vote for Stacey----and ignoring the Democratic Klan connections (NOT Republican) and having the Grand Poobah of the Klan as a major Democratic leader just a few years ago.

President Donald Trump made an unannounced visit to Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday to honor America’s fallen as thousands across the country laid wreaths on veterans’ graves. Trump paid his respects as volunteers for ‘Wreaths Across America‘ waited in long lines to place a Christmas wreath on the tombs of America’s greatest heroes. The event, which is held every December, aims to “remember, honor, and teach” about those who served, and perished, fighting for America’s freedom. In addition to Arlington National Cemetery, Wreaths Across America Day is observed at more than 1,400 cemeteries in all 50 states, as well as

A new study finds more than 40 percent of Americans have not been vaccinated and, in fact, don´t plan on it either. This is despite the warnings, potential dangers, and last year´s record-number of flu deaths. The survey was done by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. People under the age of 45 were the least likely to report being vaccinated.
