“Criminal Intent”…
Conservative Treehouse, by Sundance

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 11/15/2018 7:55:23 AM

If you pause for a few minutes and look at every recent headline, and the story therein that delivers frustration;… I mean really elevate and look at the bigger issue inside each of the examples… there’s a connective thread surrounding a shift in law-and-order to focus on “criminal intent.” “Intent”, not consequence, is now the larger shield being applied toward excusing the action of people within institutions of government and society.(Snip)Hillary Clinton was not guilty, because James Comey said they couldn’t prove intent. Recent DOJ releases highlighting: “declined to prosecute” all surround intent. Illegal alien entry, and accountability

The magic words that are letting serious government criminals off the hook. From Hillary (so far) to James Wolfe (a major leaker, whose possible serious leaking charges were watered down to lying to FBI or somesuch). And then there are the irregularities in the voting in Florida.
All about intent.

Intent is built into the law: "Whoever knowingly..." Intent is important in deciding the level of homicide and many drug offenses.

Intent is not built in to speeding, And it is very deliberately not built in to the protection of secrets act that Hillary violated so deliberately.

Unfortunately, we don´t have a law that says it is illegal for an alien to be in the United States without a valid visa.

If you continuously disregard imposing consequences on criminals or those who have committed criminal acts, there is no justice. If there is no justice, you have toothless law. Without law, you get anarchy, and we are perilously close to that now.

Someone, somewhere MUST begin meting out actual consequences for breaking the law, regardless of "intent." You can not intend to break the law yet break it anyway; does lack of intent mitigate consequences?

I want to see a case of murder where the defendant says,”But your Honor, and ladies and gentleman of the jury, I didn’t mean to kill him. I just wanted to persuade him to do things my way! It was a mistake that the gun went off!” If the guy is a Democrat, he gets off.

Hitlery´s INTENT was to skate.

Comey thought he gave her an out on the emails which had been subpoenaed.

Judicial Watch is endeavoring to bring this to a conclusion as the State department continues to seek to stonewall discovery.

HER intent has always been to avoid prosecution and indictment, and at that she has been successful up to now.

If there is any justice left in this country, HRC will one day be held accountable for her crimes. The list of democrats who are in the same boat is very long and most of us know their names. Americans are very disturbed when we see these criminals skate because they have an enabling and supportive media pleading their cases daily. It is very disheartening to witness the rule of law and equality under the law being destroyed because the rich and powerful are, well, rich and powerful.

The ´intent´ here is to keep the investigations going as long as possible to make it as hard as possible for Trump to do his work, for the American people. Does Rosenstein know what evidence Mueller has about Trump/Russia collusion, specifically? Or is that a Mueller secret.

Intent, the way it is used now, is like the dog eating the homework. Bubba’s “mistakes were made”. And the rest with which we are too familiar.

Let a Republican misstep, and criminal intent is immediately brought in - they had to know they were breaking the law and did so deliberately.

World’s smartest woman Hillary, a lawyer, knew darned well she was breaking the law. So did James Comey, the country’s then #1 law enforcement officer.

The other day President Trump called Rex Tillerson “dumb as a rock.” That was payback for an interview in which his former Secretary of State called Trump undisciplined and a poor study. Trump had selected Tillerson for the job based in part on the recommendation of Robert Gates, Obama’s Secretary of Defense, according to press reports. Gates and Tillerson knew each other largely from the Boy Scouts, where they both held leadership positions during its transition from a traditional organization to a politically correct one. For the past two years we have seen the emergence of a coherent Trump doctrine in both words and deeds. There is a remarkable consistency throughout all of President Trump’s speeches, formal documents (such as the National Security Strategy) and actions of the administration. To understand the Trump doctrine, we must begin with candidate Trump’s first major speech on foreign policy on April 27, 2016 (thus even before the Indiana primary) to the Center for the National Interest at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.

There is no real reason we are witnessing the magazine’s demise other than deep pettiness and a personal desire for bureaucratic revenge on the part of a penny-ante Machiavellian who works for its parent company. Whatever the purported lovebirds texted each other and others during the tumultuous period, the SCO thought it was not worth scrutiny by outsiders not on the team.
