Ocasio-Cortez claims she can´t afford
DC apartment, but records show she
has at least $15,000 in savings

Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims that she´s unable to afford an apartment in Washington, D.C., until she begins collecting her congressional salary, but records show she has more than enough to plunk down on an apartment in the U.S. capital. The 29-year-old congresswoman-elect rose to fame after she defeated 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in New York´s June primary and was elected to represent the state’s 14th Congressional District last week.

$15,000 will get her in the door. Her House salary will take her from there.

Perhaps she should have thought of this sooner. Or, this is another of the little Socialist’s grand plans for the future. Housing subsidization for Congress. Not the first time we’ve heard about that.

Ryan should have a talk with her. He can explain how he managed without a DC apartment.

FTA:"Most have taken Ocasio-Cortez’ claims at their face value, praising her for drawing attention to the housing crisis and that the electoral system is designed to discourage working-class people from running for Congress."

THAT is why she´s playing the victim game. Like all Marxists all over the nation, they know their voters are utterly stupid and will believe anything but the truth. It works as promised in Romans chapter one through chapter 2 verse one but what the hell does God know? Besides, most believe that there is no God and they hate Him. So, poor Alexandria, if housing were a right, she wouldn´t have the crisis visited upon her by evil capitalism.

Whenever they want to inflict equality of opportunity, wealth-spreading, homogenization of our society, they go after housing. In major cities. The “everyone deserves no matter what” syndrome.

Ocasio-Cortez the Economics-degreed barmaid has $15K in a savings account? How? From where is what I’d like to know.
Is she aware that her bank is paying at most 1.5% interest on that money? Hasn’t she noticed that the American economy is paying dividends on investments?

I read another article about her housing problem and in it she mentioned worrying about and apartment for her and HER PARTNER.

NOWHERE in all the coverage she has gotten have I seen anything about a "partner".

Not that it matters EXCEPT with all the slobbering saturation of information about Ms. Ocasio-Cortez the media has kept this part of her life story COMPLETELY UNDER WRAPS.

A prime example of non reporting what with the media anal exam that conservative candidates face for merely running in a primary, and the uneven coverage given to candidates based on party affiliation.

A number of Republicans on Capitol Hill are treading cautiously in the wake of Michael Cohen´s allegations that President Trump directed him to arrange hush-money payments with two women because, according to Cohen, then-candidate Trump "was very concerned about how this would affect the election" if their allegations of affairs became public. One can partly understand why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the hilariously ignorant young socialist recently elected to a House seat from The Bronx and Queens, has soared to the top of the Republicans’ naughty list. For one thing, the Democrats and their reliably obsequious media allies already have elevated her far above what one might expect for a safe-seat shoo-in from an abjectly Democratic district who has not yet served a single day in office:

Democrats and media commentators are noting that many Republicans are "shrugging off" the fact that Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to felony campaign finance violations which prosecutors say President Trump directed him to commit. The president, they say, is "implicated in two felonies." How could GOP lawmakers shrug that off? One little-discussed reason is that many Republicans never liked and continue to oppose current campaign finance laws. They don´t approve of limits on contributions by individuals,

There are stirrings of discussion these days in philosophical circles about the prospect of human extinction. This should not be surprising, given the increasingly threatening predations of climate change. In reflecting on this question, I want to suggest an answer to a single question, one that hardly covers the whole philosophical territory but is an important aspect of it. Would human extinction be a tragedy? To get a bead on this question, let me distinguish it from a couple of other related questions. I’m not asking whether the experience of humans coming to an end would be a bad thing.

Joe Lieberman, a Democrat-turned-independent who has backed Republicans, has found friends in yet another party: the ruling Communist Party of the People´s Republic of China. The former "conscience of the Senate" has been hired to represent China´s ZTE telecommunications company, which is basically a front organization for Chinese intelligence services. ZTE is under pressure in light of overdue U.S. government efforts to prevent it from entrenching a stronger position in the U.S. economy. With the U.S. now in a new cold war with Beijing, no former U.S. official, let alone a foreign policy hawk like Lieberman, should be serving ZTE.

Babi Christina Engelhardt, now 59, told The Hollywood Reporter that she first caught the then-41-year-old Allen’s attention in October 1976 at famed eatery Elaine’s on the Upper East Side, where she dropped a note with her phone number. “Since you’ve signed enough autographs, here’s mine!” the star-struck girl scribbled. Allen soon invited Engelhardt

Chuck Schumer clearly thinks that he’s got a winning issue with blaming President Trump for a prospective “government shutdown” Friday, if no budget bill is passed that includes $5 billion for border wall improvements. Since he promises that no such money will be forthcoming from the Senate, he obviously anticipates the public reacting in horror over the Christmas holidays as federal employees labeled “non-essential” stay home. But Rep. Thomas Massey, a libertarian-leaning GOP House member from Kentucky, has published an amazing graph that shows how meaningless this “disaster” really is for almost everybody:
