U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is already up and working in her hospital room, a day after breaking three ribs in a fall, her nephew said late on Thursday at the Hollywood premiere of a film about her life. Ginsburg, a ground-breaking liberal jurist who at 85 is the oldest U.S. Supreme Court justice, was hospitalized on Thursday after falling at her office at the court, a court spokeswoman said. "The last I heard she was up and working, of course, because what else would she be doing, and cracking jokes," her nephew Daniel Stiepleman said at the

It´s not clear who is reporting that RBG is up and working. Her nephew says ´last I heard´. Heard from whom?

Baloney.

Fractured ribs will put an NFL linebacker down for weeks and a 500-year-old fossilized mummy is leaping about the office cracking jokes?

I´ve got some primo farmland on the moon I´m letting go for practically nothing if anyone is interested.

I highly doubt this is true. Broken ribs are brutal even on those who are young and healthy, which she is not.

I also question whether those who desperately want her on the court, come hell or high water, have her best physical and mental health interests at heart.

She said he was not going to go to Kavanaugh´s investiture. She faked the broken ribs and now at the age of 83 (?) she has fully recovered in just 24 hours.

I don´t wish ill will on anybody, but I wouldn´t be surprised if there is something deeper going on here. Loss of balance can indicate a brain issue, and lord knows the left will try and hide it as long as they can. Notice the sudden urge for the Florida recount, and magically last night the Dem took the lead in the Arizona Senate race.

This is how the old Soviet Union would explain the sudden absence of their party leader. Just wait until the classical music kicks in, followed by the "death knell". Hint: Whatever is going on, the dRATS are desperately trying to hide the truth (no surprise there). Stay tuned.

Uh-huh. RBG’s up and working after a brisk pre-dawn walk to the gym for an hour on the machines followed by an ice cold shower.
Communists and their useful idiots are fervently praying to their home Lenin shrines for Ruthie to simply survive the month.

This is left wing propaganda of the highest order. There is no way she can be up and about with three cracked ribs unless she has been doped up with Oxycontin! They are making this person into a heroine when she isn´t. She is more insignificant than ever now that Kavanagh is on the bench. If she were a Republican and I a leftie, I would be wishing all the worst on her. But she´s not and I´m not, so I´ll wish her a speed recovery so she can carry on with all the venom the left has to offer.

She either didn´t break her ribs or the story is false. I had three broken ribs about 24 years or so ago. Much younger and much more healthy than I am now. You don´t heal for a very long time and the pain is intense. Breathing in and out is painful.
I just have to wonder if they have any bread to go with the baloney we´re being fed?

Stable fractures - where bones do not actually separate and threaten lung puncture - are very manageable. You wouldn’t go and play football for a while as separation could occur with another insult to the body, but you are not grounded either. With two ribs broken, after a week of rest, I continued a train trip all over Europe. I was not 85, but I was no teenager either. She is said to be working from her bed. Her work does not involve her body.

We’d love for her to retire and soon, but wishful thinking about rib fractures won’t work...

I fractured three, possibly five ribs a couple of years ago crashing on a bicycle. Everything I did hurt. I could not lay on my side in bed, and attempting to roll over was too painful. Coughing, sneezing, laughing, deep breathing hurt intensely. It lasted at least a month. We are being fed a bunch of BS. She either lied about the accident or her people are lying now about her present condition.

I actually feel bad for her. No doubt she feels trapped on the court, unable to retire while Trump (or any other Republican) is in office. Her own fault, to some extent, for not retiring when Obama was president (a la Kennedy with Trump), but can she really retire now with her progressive "creds" intact? She´d be run out of her liberal enclave on a rail.

All that aside, I would be quite happy or her to retire, especially now that the Senate remains in safe Republican hands.

Hmmm. Real busted rib hardly let you breathe, much less "work"- Does not happen. Move a little bit wrong and you get a nice punctured lung.

Old Lady like Ginsberg gets three busted ribs and she´s bouncing around like a ping-pong player? No- I doubt it seriously. That does not happen.

I rode my bike the remaining 2 miles to the trailhead when I busted three ribs in a fall in ´01. Still very painful for six weeks, difficult to bend, especially sitting up from laying flat, no laughing, and a cough or sneeze was literally like a knife in the chest.

She needs to take this as a sign that it is time to retire. But, she is a rabid leftist, always has been and will probably insist on dying in office.

The Woolsey fire has burned nearly 100,000 acres in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Thousands of people in mobile-home parks and tony gated communities alike have been displaced. Many have lost their homes completely. California government officials have estimated that more than 1 million homes throughout the state are located in "high-risk" fire areas. That´s a lot of property to protect when a fast-moving wildfire is approaching, and county fire departments and volunteers often can´t manage the job alone. A federal judge handed CNN a major victory on Friday, ruling that President Donald Trump White House must temporarily restore the press credentials it stripped from the network´s chief White House correspondent last week while a lawsuit plays out. Judge Timothy Kelly ruled that Jim Acosta´s First Amendment press rights trump the administration´s right to have orderly press conferences. He declared that the White House failed to give Acosta ´due process,´ something guaranteed in government proceedings under the Fifth Amendment. ´I want to thank all of my colleagues in the press who supported us this week,´ Acosta told other reporters outside the federal

In other words, every rifle in America.(tweets)Further, he´s warning citizens of nuclear annihilation should people refuse to comply.(tweets)When he was confronted, Swalwell tried to backtrack with some context and further explanation.(tweets)He then pulled the victim card.(tweet)"Gun buyback" is a nice term for confiscation, which Swalwell acknowledged. "Assault rifle" is a politically loaded, misleading term used by the left to demonize semi-automatic rifles. And yes, confiscating millions of privately owned firearms is indeed tyrannical. Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, a Democrat, refused to concede in her race against Republican Brian Kemp, but has said there is no possibility of her defeating Kemp and has concluded her bid for Georgia governor. "I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election," Abrams said Friday. Democrat Stacey Abrams ended her bid to be Georgia governor late Friday in a speech which she said was not a ´concession´ but an acknowledgment that she cannot win. She said Brian Kemp, the Republican candidate, would win the vote count which was due to be certified at 5 p.m., just as she made the speech. But she ended her bid to be the nation´s first black female governor defiantly saying that she would be suing in federal court over the election´s ´gross mismanagement´, taking a bitter election with claims of racist voter suppression into a new arena.
