It is imperative’ that Mueller probe

Mitt Romney hasn’t even been sworn in as a senator, but he had strong words Wednesday over concerns that acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker would pull the plug on the Mueller investigation. “It is imperative that the important work of the Justice Department continues, and that the Mueller investigation proceeds to its conclusion unimpeded.” Sen.-elect Mitt Romney Along with that warning to Whitaker, the onetime Republican presidential candidate, who won a U.S. Senate seat in Utah on Tuesday, also thanked Jeff Sessions for his service in a tweet late Wednesday. For those who yesterday were assuring us Romney "will be fine":

No, he won´t. He will be a pain in President Trump´s neck. He will be the leftist media´s poster boy for anti-Trump pull quotes. He will be what I´ve said he is for the past 10 years: A politically unprincipled opportunist with no discernible integrity or consistency.

Of course, the posters who defend Romney know all of this already. They´ve been doing it for 10 years as well. There´s a point at which that stops being wishful thinking and starts being willful disingenuity.

We are long past that point.

Are the reports that Mueller is writing his final report true or not? If true, then his probe must be completed. Romney is a crazed idiot. I can´t believe I voted for him in 2012 and actually donated to his campaign in 2008.

I became incensed in 2008 when he said after losing to McCain in a primary that he was going to continue to the convention. He appealed for campaign donations. I responded. The next day he dropped out. I demanded the return of my donation to him and, of course, I didn´t get it. I voted for him 2012 because he isn´t Obama even though he ran one of the worst campaigns in Republican history. He didn´t even "swing" at the opportunity Obama/Crowley offered to him He wilted.

What a jerk he is! I´m sure Manchin will be his new best friend!

Institutions that used to be beyond politics have become infected by cultural Marxism, which attacks the family, traditions, and the classic natural conditions. Based on assertions made by Dr. Ronald Levant, the American Psychological Association (APA) has declared that traditional masculinity is harmful. Those on the left who insist that we never generalize about this group or that group are now out-front generalizing that men and masculinity are a flawed group whose nature and attitudes are harmful.

Republicans plotting to oppose Trump

Renegade Republicans intent on upending President Trump in 2020 are keeping their powder dry, waiting to see if legal and political controversies drive him from office first. Political operatives and potential candidates that inhabit the loose-knit community of Republicans who oppose Trump’s re-election are eyeing June as the approximate moment for deciding on a primary challenge or independent bid. It’s a strategic delay. Some Republicans think the weight of multiple investigations could motivate the president to exit the White House after one term — especially if special counsel Robert Mueller issues a politically damaging report.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will travel to Annapolis to serve as the featured speaker at Maryland Gov. As so-called “Never Trump” Republicans search for a candidate to challenge the president in 2020, some have been urging Hogan to run. The governor has largely demurred, saying he’s focused on running the state, while not definitively ruling it out.

I became aware that the "Head Start" program for preschool children is not simply preparation for elementary school work when this federally funded program trickled into a church in Maine during Sunday School. I was music director at the time (the 1980s), and the choir gathered in the church´s assembly hall before the start of each Sunday service, as children gathered for their Sunday session. Wittingly or not, the church had allowed a de facto collusion between secular and sacred teaching.

Conservatives on both sides of Tucker Carlson’s broadside against America’s elite last week should be grateful he launched it. In the wake of President Trump’s surprise victory in 2016 and Republicans’ loss of the House of Representatives in 2018, a debate about where the Right ought to go from here is the one we all need to be having. Carlson’s must-see monologue may aim wide in a few particulars, but it seems to me directionally correct. He is right that both parties in Washington rely too much on aggregate economic statistics to measure their success.

There are few offenses more heinous than those that are sexual in nature. In the #MeToo era, it certainly has become clear that sexual abuse, from harassment to rape, has been rampant in America. More information is supporting the theory that the current big Justice Department "investigations" are actually functioning as big cover-up operations. Robert Mueller´s team is effectively hiding key evidence related to serious crimes committed by government officials. Mueller has nearly complete control over what the public or any investigator can see. He has control over what witnesses can talk about. This means that the Huber and Horowitz investigations exist to make you think something is being investigated when it is not.

No surprise: Senator Mitt Romney does not like President Donald Trump, as he recently explained in The Washington Post. But what, one wonders, was the former GOP presidential candidate thinking two years ago when he supped with the man he now claims to deplore while seeking an appointment as secretary of state? Much of Romney’s complaint is over manners. Yes, the president is a boor. Most people, including many of Trump’s supporters, recognize that. Trump won not because of his etiquette but because of what he stood for—and against. Romney also defended The Blob, Washington’s bipartisan foreign policy establishment.

Nancy Pelosi has asked Donald Trump to put off his State of the Union speech to the joint session of Congress until after the funding issues have been resolved: (Copy of Letter/Tweet) And with that, the new Speaker of the House just made the best case possible for a perpetual shutdown.
