It is imperative’ that Mueller probe

Mitt Romney hasn’t even been sworn in as a senator, but he had strong words Wednesday over concerns that acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker would pull the plug on the Mueller investigation. “It is imperative that the important work of the Justice Department continues, and that the Mueller investigation proceeds to its conclusion unimpeded.” Sen.-elect Mitt Romney Along with that warning to Whitaker, the onetime Republican presidential candidate, who won a U.S. Senate seat in Utah on Tuesday, also thanked Jeff Sessions for his service in a tweet late Wednesday. For those who yesterday were assuring us Romney "will be fine":

No, he won´t. He will be a pain in President Trump´s neck. He will be the leftist media´s poster boy for anti-Trump pull quotes. He will be what I´ve said he is for the past 10 years: A politically unprincipled opportunist with no discernible integrity or consistency.

Of course, the posters who defend Romney know all of this already. They´ve been doing it for 10 years as well. There´s a point at which that stops being wishful thinking and starts being willful disingenuity.

We are long past that point.

Are the reports that Mueller is writing his final report true or not? If true, then his probe must be completed. Romney is a crazed idiot. I can´t believe I voted for him in 2012 and actually donated to his campaign in 2008.

I became incensed in 2008 when he said after losing to McCain in a primary that he was going to continue to the convention. He appealed for campaign donations. I responded. The next day he dropped out. I demanded the return of my donation to him and, of course, I didn´t get it. I voted for him 2012 because he isn´t Obama even though he ran one of the worst campaigns in Republican history. He didn´t even "swing" at the opportunity Obama/Crowley offered to him He wilted.

What a jerk he is! I´m sure Manchin will be his new best friend!

Go away. Just go away. We don’t need a law abiding version of Hillary.

NeverTrump Republicans have been rabidly obsessed since 2015 to prevent Donald Trump’s nomination, election, and having failed, to join the left in nonstop criticism and condemnation of President Trump. They may be succeeding, but to what end? As they look around at the current political landscape, are they truly happy with the direction of the country? Or is that irrelevant, as long as they can strut around on their high horse, feeling smug, telling each other “I told you so”? The NeverTrump movement began shortly after Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency. So-called “principled Republicans” were incensed

His election wasn’t close and his campaign didn’t get much attention in Washington, but Mitt Romney coming to the U.S. Senate is a big deal. John McCain’s death created a vacuum in the Republican Party. The late senator from Arizona was unique in the GOP, but some honest and uninhibited voices could begin to fill the void. Romney is no McCain, but he could emerge as a powerful, independent voice. Romney certainly won’t be a sellout to the White House, and he won’t be intimidated by President Trump.

Now Americans get to decide. Our democracy is corrupted by big money, scarred by efforts to suppress the vote or to gerrymander districts, and stained by scurrilous campaigning, led in this instance by the president himself. Yet, in the end, democracy empowers us to decide who will lead us, who we will reward with our support and who we will spurn. Democrat Stacey Abrams ended her bid to be Georgia governor late Friday in a speech which she said was not a ´concession´ but an acknowledgment that she cannot win. She said Brian Kemp, the Republican candidate, would win the vote count which was due to be certified at 5 p.m., just as she made the speech. But she ended her bid to be the nation´s first black female governor defiantly saying that she would be suing in federal court over the election´s ´gross mismanagement´, taking a bitter election with claims of racist voter suppression into a new arena.
