A federal judge in Montana has blocked construction of the $8 billion Keystone XL Pipeline to allow more time to study the project´s potential environmental impact. The Great Falls Tribune reports U.S. District Judge Brian Morris´ order on Thursday came as Calgary-based TransCanada was preparing to build the first stages of the oil pipeline in northern Montana. Environmental groups had sued TransCanada and The U.S. Department of State in federal court in Great Falls. Morris says the government´s analysis didn´t fully study the cumulative effects of greenhouse gas emissions, the effects of current oil prices

Perhaps we need a new rule on how many times a federal judge can be overturned by an appellate court before being removed from the bench as incompetent, "Three Strikes and You´re Out!"

Another judge legislating from the bench.

This project has been massively studied. Even BO´s State Department approved it. BO just overrode their approval.

When judges take it upon themselves to act this way, a tally of their behavior should be taken. Occurrences of this behavior should lead to letters of censure and multiple censures to impeachment.

Nothing further need be said.

Constitution? What the heck is that?

Communist democrat party is running America now with control over 75% of all federal courts, and it´s pay back time for everyone who stands in their way.

This block by the Obama appointed judge means at least a 12 month delay as his ruling his appealed. If appeals court upholds his mad ruling, it will mean the SC may or may not hear appeal in October, 2020, with a decision out of the Court in June, 2021. All because TransCanada prefers the efficiency of a pipeline rather than trains to move oil to Texas refineries.

As to ruling, what does the “effects of current oil prices” have to do with federal law? Or is the law of supply and demand now to be determined by federal judges?

They should ignore this activist Judge and start to build the pipeline anyway. Let him enforce his ruling with his standing army, if he has one!! Otherwise, pound sand!!

I am heartily tired of activist judges making law from the bench based on feeeeeingz instead of basing decisions on established case law. If they cannot make rulings based on the Constitution, bench ´em and send ´em to the showers!!

After courting every city in America large enough to support its own Jimmy John’s franchise, Amazon is going to split its HQ2 between Long Island City in New York and Crystal City in the D.C. metro area. After all those governors, mayors, and even the Oak Ridge Boys begged Jeff Bezos to pick their city, the commerce conglomerate ultimately picked America’s largest city and its capital. It’s the equivalent of asking every microbrewery in America to enter into your contest to find the nation’s best beer, then after they invest significant time and expense,

So CNN’s Jim Acosta scored some court points with a ruling that orders the White House to give back his press pass, at least for the time being. But he still presents as a smug elitist. He presented as an out-of-touch elitist the day he jerked away from the arm of the reaching White House intern — the day he refused to cede the microphone and cede the floor and cede his time to the many other journalists who were patiently waiting to pose questions to the president. But post-ruling, caught on camera walking from the courthouse,

The race for Governor of Georgia between Republican Brian Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams wasn’t particularly close. Kemp won by 55,000 votes. But since the election, Abrams has tried to position herself for a recount, or something, that might magically erase that impressive margin. Today she gave up, sort of: Stacey Abrams halted her run for Georgia governor Friday, but the Democrat said she would not concede the contest to Republican Brian Kemp and planned to launch a voting rights group to file “major” litigation challenging election policies. There will be no such “major” litigation. What would it challenge?

The base was jokingly called “Fort Trump” by Poland’s president after meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump. “We are working out the details on what the offer is, what can best contribute to alliance unity, to alliance security and to the continued strengthening of the bilateral relationship,”

Michael Avenatti, the lawyer for adult film actress Stormy Daniels, lost a last-ditch appeal Friday to block the eviction of his law practice from its Newport Beach offices. In a brief hearing at Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana, Judge Robert J. Moss affirmed his Oct. 22nd order that Avenatti and his staff vacate their ocean-view suite in a building across from the Fashion Island mall. He ordered them to leave by Monday. Avenatti’s longtime law firm, Eagan Avenatti, skipped $213,254 in rent payments due over four months, leading the landlord, the Irvine Co., to sue for eviction.

Obama-appointed federal judges have brazenly rewritten election statutes to favor Democrats challenging the outcomes of races in Florida and Georgia. In both states, however, the apparent losers haven’t benefited from arbitrary changes these partisan jurists made in the laws by which election officials are legally bound. In Georgia, two Obama appointees changed the rules regarding how to count incomplete absentee ballots, provisional ballots,

British politics and markets are in chaos because Prime Minister Theresa May can’t sell her long-awaited Brexit plan — and no one knows what comes next. After British voters narrowly approved a withdrawal from the European Union in 2016, we felt the United Kingdom would be better off — able to make its own decisions on trade and immigration and free from lunatic EU regulations. But little of that is in the deal May unveiled Wednesday night. It leaves the UK within the EU’s economic orbit, subject to many of the bloc’s existing regulations and tariffs,
