Poland signs deal for long-term
deliveries of US gas

Associated Press, by Monika Scislowska

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 11/8/2018 5:33:39 PM

WARSAW, Poland— Poland’s main gas company signed a long-term contract Thursday to receive deliveries of liquefied natural gas from the United States as part of a larger effort to reduce its energy dependence on Russia. The state company PGNiG signed the 24-year deal with American supplier Cheniere during a ceremony in Warsaw attended by U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry and Polish President Andrzej Duda. “This is a sign across Europe that this is how your energy security will be developed, your energy sources diversified,” Perry said before the deal was signed.

When I responded earlier on another thread to a poster’s baseless blanket criticism of President Trump’s cabinet picks, I forgot to mention Rick Perry. He seems to be the very right man for this job.

The Poles are wise to trust neither the Germans or Russians for their critical needs. Seeing the Germans signed a deal to get their natural gas from Russia after shutting down their nuclear plants in a fit of virtue signalling shows how blind the Germans are to the realities of the world they created.

More "winning". Apparently there are enough people already getting tired of it they gave the House to the loser Democrats.

The Poles have been invaded and enslaved multiple times by the Germans and the Russians.

They have been freed by Americans, and they remember it.

Good move.

Traditional ranching in southwest Texas hasn´t been profitable for several years, so the ranchers in our area are very happy with the deep well oil and gas production. Thank you, Poland, and wild applause for our good former Governor Perry, who understands.

No sooner did swarms of foreigners from Latin America arrive at San Diego-area ports of entry than reports came in they were scaling border fences. On a local talk and breaking news radio station, I listened to callers living along the border claim they witnessed hordes of black-haired men sitting atop, or jumping over, the fence near Border Field State Park. Border Patrol agents reportedly reacted to attempted breaches and all would-be crossers were turned away ((Snip) For this hamstringing of our protectors, progressive bureaucrats, not President Trump, bear the blame.

With the midterms over, Washington returns to its regular programming: Russia. Trump critics should consider the risk of betting their political fortunes on special counsel Robert Mueller. The Mueller probe has lost its political potency, as Democrats acknowledged on the midterm trail. They didn’t win House seats by warning of Russian collusion. They didn’t even talk about it. Most voters don’t care, or don’t care to hear about it. A CNN exit poll found 54 percent of respondents think the Russia probe is “politically motivated” a 46 percent plurality disapprove of Mueller’s handling of it.

The man who shouted “Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!” during the intermission of “Fiddler on the Roof” on Wednesday reportedly did it because he hates President Donald Trump and his supporters. Baltimore police identified the man as 58-year-old Anthony M. Derlunas II. Derlunas reportedly told police he had been “drinking heavily throughout the night,” and that he yelled what he did because the scene prior to the “intermission reminded him of his hatred for President Trump,”

Avenatti was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony domestic violence. Upon his release on $50,000 bail, he denied any wrongdoing and claims an investigation will clear his name. But, according to TMZ–which originally broke the news–Avenatti shouted “she hit me first!”

Florida Republicans Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis would have increased their margins of victory Thursday if Broward County did not narrowly miss the 3 p.m. deadline to submit machine recount results for the state’s midterm elections. The recount would have increased DeSantis’s lead over Democrat Andrew Gillum in the race for governor by 755 votes, while Scott’s lead could have been lifted by 779 votes. “We uploaded to the state two minutes late so the state has chosen not to use our machine recount results

Socialist know-nothing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the future of the Democrat Party. Nancy Pelosi is its past, but she’s probably its present too despite threats to deny her another Speakership. The Ocasio-Cortez contingent in the party has determined that Nancy Pelosi simply isn’t radical enough. That will be news to many on the American Right for whom she has served as a longtime bête noir and whose strident advocacy of San Francisco values provided fodder for countless Republican campaign ads and fundraising letters.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been charged under seal, prosecutors inadvertently revealed in a recently unsealed court filing — a development that could significantly advance the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and have major implications for those who publish government secrets. The disclosure came in a filing in a case unrelated to Assange. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kellen S. Dwyer, urging a judge to keep the matter sealed, wrote that “due to the sophistication of the defendant and the publicity surrounding the case, no other procedure is likely to keep confidential the fact that Assange has been charged.”

There’s been a lot of talk among neoconservatives lately about some frightful subjects: nationalism, populism, and nativism. It’s been a touching spectacle, the air so thick with virtue that one can barely breathe, and we can only hope that the day will finally come when this group’s characteristic moralism, neuroticism, and effeminacy will be synonymous with American exceptionalism itself. Rich Lowry at National Review was angry because Democrat Stacey Abrams refused to admit she lost the governor´s race in Georgia. He was very defensive in his column about this, "There’s No ‘Neo-Jim Crow’ in Georgia." And with that, he conceded her point. Abrams knew she lost.
