Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, fell in her office at the court and fractured three ribs, according to a release from the court Thursday."She went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight, went to George Washington University Hospital early this morning," the statement said. "Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment." Ginsburg´s health has been a matter of intense speculation in recent years. Ginsburg, the court´s oldest member, is one of the court´s four liberal justices. She has survived multiple bouts with cancer, and in 2014 underwent

I broke two ribs years ago while traveling in France. Stable fractures - everything remained in place - but every breath, every expansion of my lung, caused extreme pain.

#2, nope. Kavanaugh was no doubt trying to remove her judicial robes and grope her.

I´m just wondering what her successor, Amy Coney Barrett, will be accused of. Human sacrifice, maybe?

The justice’s health has long been a matter of concern. In 2014, Ginsburg had a stent placed in her right coronary artery and has survived cancer multiple times. Ginsburg in 2012 fractured two ribs in a fall and remained mum about the incident for several months.

However, I´d presume this will be a very difficult thing to recover from, and be a productive member of the Court for this term.

About twenty years or so ago I fell and broke three ribs. I was at that time in my late fifties. It was a very painful experience. There is nothing you can do except take something for pain. I carried a small pillow with me to hold against myself as it felt somewhat comforting having something soft close to me as I breathed in and out.
Time is the only fix.
I fear for the Justice as this could be a death nil considering her age and level of frailty. Pneumonia may find her as a host.
I may not like her politics but I will say a prayer for her. I identify with the pain and the recovery period could be lengthy.
I look for her official resignation by the end of the year.

Assuming RBG doesn’t return to the SC by January, we will need to monitor GoFundMe to determine whom might be the next accuser of Ruth’s replacement. Watch for the name of a radical leftist professor of similar age who will claim that Nominee X groped, fondled or leered at her/him sometime in the 1980s.

Whomever the accuser is, both Senators Schumer and Blumenthal will find her or him “credible”. Next SC confirmation process, specifically after the formal end of the hearing, will make Justice Kavanaugh’s hearing look like a love fest rather than an attempted lynching.

I don´t wish her ill, but it´s obvious that her clock is winding down. At the Kavanaugh swearing in she was clearly oblivious to what was going on around her. Now she´s fallen with some serious results. That´s generally a sign that the end is near. If she´s wise, she´ll announce her retirement and enjoy what time she´s got left with her family and friends.

But thank God she has such a big LIE-beral ego that she didn´t retire when Ovomit was president and he could have appointed another brain dead LIE-beral to take her place to haunt us for 30 or 40 years!!!!

Ginsberg doesn´t want to go out like McCain. She needs to retire, recover, and spend some time just loving her family. But that pesky LIE-beral ego (just like McCain had) just keeps getting in the way!!!!!

Spare, if you will, a moment’s pity for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). They are not exactly enjoying the government shutdown as they might have hoped. Pelosi had already packed her bags and boarded the Air Force bus Thursday, along with a sizable delegation of House Democratic leaders, for her overseas junket. She and her comrades were, no doubt, looking forward to touring NATO’s billion-dollar-plus new headquarters in Brussels; posing for selfies on camelback by the pyramids in Egypt; grinning for photo-ops with the troops in Afghanistan. WASHINGTON—House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Wednesday night she “doesn’t care” if the Secret Service said it was prepared to appropriately secure the State of the Union address despite the partial government shutdown. Instead, she stood firm in her resolve to delay the January 29 event until the government completely re-opens. (Photo) In a letter to President Trump, Pelosi claimed the lack of funds to Homeland Security posed a risk to the White House and the Congress during the event, but the Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen released a statement refuting that. She shared that statement in a

Gillette is doubling down on a controversial new campaign that appears aimed at taking on so-called toxic masculinity — but has created a social media firestorm. The two-minute video from Boston-based razor brand Gillette urges men to act against sexual harassment, misogyny and bullying, asking: “Is this the best a man can get?” While fans are applauding the move, critics say it assumes men need to be steered away from negative tendencies. The ad starts off with audio of news about the #MeToo movement, saying, “We can’t hide from it. It has been going on far too long. We

An ESPN host suggested Wednesday it was racist for President Donald Trump to serve fast food to the Clemson football team at the White House, saying such food being given to players of a "predominately black sport" gave her pause. (Snip)While the players appeared to enjoy the food, some political and sports observers took Trump to task for what they considered a low-class gesture. On the daily ESPN debate show "First Take," panelists Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman discussed the matter, with Smith saying it was a "classless" and "disgraceful" move by Trump.

Domnio’s Pizza has been legally required to makes its app and website fully accessible to the visually impaired following a years-long legal battle with a blind customer who was left unable to order a pie with personalized toppings through his iPhone. Guillermo Robles in a lawsuit filed back in September 2016 first accused the popular pizza chain of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act “for its failure to design, construct, maintain, and operate its website to be fully accessible and independently usable” for those who are blind. The Americans with Disabilities Act, made law in 1990, says it is unlawful

In the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll released Thursday, President Donald Trump may have suffered some among Republicans overall, but he saw a huge point gain in a different demographic breakdown, and an unexpected one by conventional wisdom. In early December, the poll had Trump’s approval rating among Latino adults at 31%. The results from the poll released Thursday show the president’s job approval among Latino adults at 50%. That is an astonishing 19 point swing. Prior results had less variance, with Latino approval numbers at 36% in their November 1st findings. It was 27% in the pollster’s mid-October survey.
