Democrats won the House,
but Trump won the election

Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

Original Article

While Tuesday night was not a complete win for Republicans, there was no blue wave, either. By most measures, Republicans beat the odds of history and nearly everyone’s expectations, while Democrats were left disappointed as the fantasy of Beto O’Rourke, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams and others winning fizzled. (Snip)Let the message be clear: Voters had a chance to repudiate Trump and they did not. Much of the commentariat has said this year’s elections are about who we are as a country and what America is all about. Well, a lot of America seems to be about supporting Trump.

Dem´s won the House because.... say what you want about Pelosi, she knows how to raise money for her party. While Paul Ryan aka Eddie Munster is just biding his time for probably a new job as a lobbyist. He could care less about his Party, and he never liked Trump. Batten down the hatches we now have to deal with Mitt Romney aka Willard who is a jealous soul who lost his bid for Presidency twice and has it in for Trump. This is a continuation of McCain. He is already tweeting comments about the resignation of Sessions, he just can´t wait.

Ronald Reagan lost about the same number of House seats after his first two years and then won 49 states two years later when the Dems nominated a nut job to run against him. History repeating itself?

Obummer had the House for only his first two years, and then did whatever he jolly well felt like. So will Trump. And trump will respond to subpoenas the same way Eric Holder did. Namely ignore them.

Plus it will be fun watching the old nut job Dems try and control the younger, even nuttier, Dems.

Losing control of the House came as no surprise. Having 45 republican representatives leave during the same election cycle was too big of a hole to fill. If true that most of them left because they didn´t like the President, or were fearful of the expected election results, or allowed themselves to be bullied by the left and the msm into leaving, this left the door wide open for the "hate Trump" crowd to take over the conversation as the left sought to fill the void.

While Paul Ryan has responsibility for not pushing himself and his caucus to stand with the President, each of the representatives who left had every opportunity to diss themselves from Ryan and to stand up and support the President. But, they chose not to.

Look at it this way. Rather than the President only having his accomplishments to campaign on for 2020, the dims just handed him a pretty good battle cry that will get him re-elected - look what those House dims just did to the country given their corruption and evil behavior.

There were many far-reaching affects of OUTSIDE money that was pumped into the Texas race for Robert Francis O´Rourke, and that was that down ballot judicial races were flipped from republicans (read: Constitutionalists) to demonrat.

Over two dozens Courts of Appeals races were lost in very thin margins.

Everyone´s attention was on the national races and especially upon the race between Senator Ted Cruz and O´Rourke. The massive amounts of money dumped into his campaign from OUTSIDE Texas wasn´t just the focus of the Senate campaign.

As much as the focus was on the national stage, the state races were affected by the numbers of people who might not ever have voted except for the influence brought to bear by the glowing media propaganda campaign made possible by all of the OUT OF STATE to influence the election.

It was obvious that "Beto" really had no chance and they KNEW it all along, but damn, he sure came close.

IMHO, this was nothing but a test run and trial balloon to see just how far away the demonrat socialists are from being able to turn Texas in a presidential run for O´Rourke, who is STILL truly an unknown by design.

The more generic and and ´likable´ a personality can be pumped up WITHOUT having to own up to the SOCIALIST pinnings of today´s demonrat party, the better.

Nobama was a relative unknown candidate BY DESIGN, because they cannot tell us the truth about their trojan horse ways of they would be rejected. This shell game has worked before, and they were playing it for all its deceptive worth.

Never-Trump Republicans had more to do with losing the House than Democrats did in winning it. It´s far from the historic, blue wave that the media have been selling/spinning all this time.

Losing the House was not good news but as the article indicates, the loses were about average for a first term. And considering the media is 90% negative for Trump - it could have been a lot worse. Gaining Senate seats was a huge plus - the Dems have little chance of recapturing the Senate anytime soon.

I´m sorry but I strongly disagree with the headline and I disagree that when the left doubles down on crazy, it will result in their loss in 2020. MOST Americans in metro areas have no idea that the left has been, is and will continue to double down on crazy. And most in metro areas couldn´t care less if the left does so because they´re not the targets and do not get facts, data and truth. They get the propaganda machine for their information and YOU and I are the problems in their minds.

Like it´s worth two flips, here´s what I believe MIGHT change the minds of the Democrats who can still rub two brain cells together (all five of them); Newsom and California´s soon to be enacted free health care, free education, free money for everyone on earth and sanctuary status throughout the state. That will be the only double down that the fidiot voters will see for themselves that democratic socialism means Venezuela. If the results of the California legislature occurs in the next two years and the moron voters see that starving Californians kill and eat zoo animals and they blame Nevada (and of course Trump) for having to do so, they MIGHT break the code.

You and I are NOT going to convince these mobs with logic. Their brains are not capable. They have to convince and realize truth for themselves.

I´ll just call it a midterm purge that will have consequences as President Trump shifts into high gear starting with the Sessions firing, next Mueller and Rosenstein have to go. Trump still dominates the news cycle. He drives the Marxists crazy, as in yesterday´s Press conference. But their mantra of Trump bad, Trump bad, does work and they got, they say, 8 million more votes than US. Heidi Heitkamp, Joe Donnely, Claire McCaskill, Bill Nelson show that Trump rallies work for US.

Fortunately we have so much good already in place that Will yield good fruits until 2020. Family tax cuts, business tax cut at 21%, ObamaCare mandate gone, Death Tax gone, capital repatriation, ANWAR, drilling in public lands, clean coal, LNG export terminals, USMCA, Korea trade deal, steel and aluminum tariffs, China weakened, Japan and EU wanting a trade deal, no DACA until the Supreme Court decide what Obama did to US was legal, Anchor Babies sent up for consideration of the Supreme Court, maximal employment ever, 401ks overflowing, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg had a great fall. God is smiling on America and we will help him by growing the economy.

Except it isn´t true------we BARELY won in those elections where we won, and THAT IS NOT GOOD. We should, with all that has been accomplished, be winning big time. (Plus there are also plenty of Republicans who lost, including some who espoused Trump ) Spinning is not needed here---what we need is for Trump, bless him, to get his message out but act more Presidential. No more wild exaggerations, etc. I have voted for the man, and will continue to do so, because of the Courts and what he has been doing, but I do NOT like the way he comes forth, nor do I like the way he humiliates people---I thought Sessons should NOT have recused himself, but he did other things that were good, so fire him but don´t humiliate him! THAT is what turning all but fanatic Trumpites off, and that will NOT win elections.

Liberals have been touting their re-capture of the House of Representatives as a victory over a vile, divisive, tyrannical President Trump. I would like to suggest that the faults that they assign to President Trump´s character are identifying characteristics of THEIR OWN POLITICAL PATHWAY TO POWER.

For many, many years I have watched and listened to liberals savage conservatives and republicans mercilessly with the vilest of invective. One of the main reasons that I am able to overlook some of President Trump´s negatives is his quick and brutal response to the leftist attacks on him by the "media". One of his most accurate statements was that he considers the "media" to be part of the democratic party. I DO TOO!

I watched helplessly when the democratic slime machine beat up on both President Bushes, and spread their manure on every conservative in sight. It would appear that they don´t like getting their s___ and mud thrown back at them.

When Mostafa Zamanian voted last week in Shorewood Hills, Wis., he got lucky: He was in the short line. “Of 19 in hallway, only two of us were N-Z and didn’t have to wait to vote,” he tweeted. Like other places, Mr. Zamanian’s precinct split up voters based on their last names. Those beginning with A to M were steered one way, while those beginning with N to Z were directed elsewhere. Intuitively, that makes sense: It’s the midpoint of the alphabet—so you end up with two equal queues, right? Wrong.

The allure of San Antonio’s Castro brothers has been building for years and their status as the crown princes of a new era of Texas Hispanic politics is now well established. As one longtime Democratic consultant said, they have successfully established themselves as the next generation of leadership in Texas, with an Ivy League pedigree and reputation for strategic thinking. But something happened this election cycle: Beto O’Rourke. As the Democratic consultant said, “Julián and his brother are like Bing Crosby and Perry Como—who just saw Elvis.”

Amid the violations of law by Broward and Palm Beach County elections officials, the data provides apparent good news for Republicans. First, despite the national media´s typical laziness and derelictions, the local press has largely been assiduous and conscientious -- certain framing aside. Second, core concerns raised by leading Republicans (some of which were rhetorically overblown) have been validated by multiple judges. The ineptitude and misconduct has not gone unnoticed. Third, in spite of Democratic lawyers´ best efforts, Republican leads in key races are likely insurmountable. National Review´s Charles C.W. Cooke

The Republican Party lost its House majority on July 28, 2017, when Sen. John McCain ended the party’s seven-year quest to repeal ObamaCare. House leadership had done an admirable job herding cats. On the second try, we passed the American Health Care Act in May. Then McCain’s inscrutable vote against the Senate’s “skinny repeal” killed the reform effort. McCain’s last-minute decision prompted a “green wave” of liberal special-interest money, which was used to propagate false claims that the House plan “gutted coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.” That line was the Democrats’ most potent attack

California Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell is calling for government confiscation of all semi-automatic rifles. In other words, every rifle in America.(tweets)Further, he´s warning citizens of nuclear annihilation should people refuse to comply.(tweets)When he was confronted, Swalwell tried to backtrack with some context and further explanation.(tweets)He then pulled the victim card.(tweet)"Gun buyback" is a nice term for confiscation, which Swalwell acknowledged. "Assault rifle" is a politically loaded, misleading term used by the left to demonize semi-automatic rifles. And yes, confiscating millions of privately owned firearms is indeed tyrannical. The Obamas’ lives have changed drastically since they left the White House in January 2017, but there is one aspect that has remained stubbornly constant: the lack of anonymity. In a sit-down interview with PEOPLE, former First Lady Michelle Obama discusses her new memoir, Becoming, and what life is now like outside the confines of the 9-bedroom house in Washington, D.C., she shares with her husband, former President Barack Obama, 57, and their younger daughter Sasha, 17. "I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election," Abrams said Friday. "This speech is not a concession, because concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true, or proper," Abrams said. "As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede that. Democrat Stacey Abrams ended her bid to be Georgia governor late Friday in a speech which she said was not a ´concession´ but an acknowledgment that she cannot win. She said Brian Kemp, the Republican candidate, would win the vote count which was due to be certified at 5 p.m., just as she made the speech. But she ended her bid to be the nation´s first black female governor defiantly saying that she would be suing in federal court over the election´s ´gross mismanagement´, taking a bitter election with claims of racist voter suppression into a new arena.
