Rudy Giuliani claims he’s broke in divorce

Rudy Giuliani is grimacing at the idea of continuing to pay support for his estranged wife, Judith — insisting that he’s tapped out because he’s working pro bono as President Trump’s lawyer. The former mayor’s lawyer admitted in Manhattan divorce court Wednesday that Giuliani made $9 million in 2017 and a little under $5 million this year — but added that there’s not enough left over after his own fiscal obligations to fund his wife’s current lifestyle. The cry of poverty drew derision from Judith Giulaini nee Nathan’s lawyer,

It’s too bad there is not a little pill that would give some men discernment in their dotage to prevent them from making fools of themselves. It is a sad state of affairs when old men pursue activities they no longer have the wherewithal to engage in without chemical assistance. Grown children and sometimes grandchildren witness these old geezers attempting to be players and that is pretty sad. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Step away from the pharmaceuticals.

Citing unnamed “former law enforcement sources and others,” the New York Times reports that “in the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president’s behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests.” The mainstream media has touted this story as major breaking news. But, to anyone who has been paying even a modicum of attention, it is crystal clear that Comey’s firing did not precipitate the FBI’s investigation of Trump. When Nancy Pelosi was sworn in as speaker of the House earlier this month, she promised the American people renewed congressional vigor. Congress, she solemnly declared, is “coequal to the presidency and judiciary,” and House Democrats would act accordingly. Democratic partisans masquerading as public intellectuals have similarly rediscovered the virtues of legislative power, touting the importance of Congress as a coequal branch of government. The problem with this? Congress is not coequal. It is superior. The notion of coequality of the branches is a myth that has been popularized over the past half century, during the rise

Joseph Lieberman, the former Connecticut senator and Democratic vice presidential candidate, is working for a company he once called a national security threat. In November, Lieberman registered as a lobbyist for ZTE, a Chinese telecom giant with close links to the country’s government. The ex-Senator told Politico that, despite his registration, he wouldn’t actually be lobbying for the firm. Rather, he hoped to “raise the level of trust in ZTE.” Lieberman certainly should understand the trust deficit the company faces. In 2010, he signed a letter saying ZTE and another Chinese telecom company, Huawei, could threaten American national security.

The Fight for $15 isn’t living up to its promise. For years, liberals have claimed that the minimum wage needs to increase to $15 an hour to provide a living wage for full-time workers. The stated goal, as socialist Sen.
