Stacey Abrams not conceding
Georgia governor’s race

New York Post, by Nikki Schwab

Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams — running to be the country’s first female black governor — said early Wednesday that she wasn’t going to concede the tight race to Republican Brian Kemp. “I’m here to tell you tonight that votes remain to be counted,” Abrams told a group of supporters in Atlanta around 1:45 a.m. Abrams was trailing Kemp by three percentage points — 48 percent to 51 percent — with 96 percent of precincts reporting. Abrams’ side said they believed there might be enough outstanding votes — including absentees —

I voted for Kemp and straight R all down the ticket, but let´s be fair.

Georgia law require a gubernatorial race to be decided only when a candidate gets more than 50% of the vote.

Abrams knows she will not WIN this election, but it hoping that Kemp´s lead is cut to less than 50% so that there will be a runoff.

The general feeling around Georgia was that a runoff was a distinct possibility, so Abrams´ lack of concession has to do with the runoff issue, not that she has any chance of winning outright.

Frantically searching car trunks for incounted, 100% straight democrat voting ballots.

But thenhen finally she could resist his determined alpha maleness no more, Stacy tore her bodice open exposing what no man had seen before and murmured huskily, “It’s yours, you brute. It was always yours and you knew it.” Upon hearing her own voice say it Stacy knew her days as a girl were over and her life as a fulfilled woman had begun.

I think #35, the first question should be "Who is going to jail for having a box of ballots in their trunk?".

Even in the old days, they votes were counted and certified at the precinct level. If your voter count and your totals vary by too much, you either illegally certified a known false result, or you keep working until you reconcile the difference.

In Ohio, you sign in (ID check, confirmed voter, signature, etc.) and receive a slip allowing you to vote. They take your slip, and put it in the machine that you vote on. You vote, and your vote is stored in the machine. If the slips don´t match the total number of ballots on the machine, that must be reconciled. This allows for undervotes, and the total number must coincide with signature count. That way, and "found" ballots were already counted at the precinct level, and should not get counted again.

Granted, many places (PHILLY) like the system to be more arcane and complicated, so that fraud is easier. That should never happen, and laws should be passed to make it so.

Exactly right, #12.

It´s still disturbing how close this election was to begin with. Hopefully Atlanta will not be the canary in the coal mine for Georgia as a whole. Of course, I´m betting that a lot of people in over-taxed states are moving to Georgia and they may bring their liberal viewpoints with them, unfortunately.

I shall always and forever more refer to Abrams by her nom de plume, "Selena Montgomery".

Don´t worry folks, Selena hasn´t won this round but is instead aiming for a recount.

The defeat in Parliament of Prime Minister May’s compromise with Europe opens the way to true independence for Britain. It presents the chance for a redemption of the referendum of June 2016, when Britons were asked “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?” and 51.89% answered “Leave the European Union.” It is too soon to declare mission accomplished. The future can still be lost, but Britain just took a giant step in the right direction. It makes clear that Britain’s future lies with a “no deal” Brexit.

I appreciate David’s response to my column on the FBI counterintelligence investigation of Trump, but unfortunately don’t find it persuasive. David emphasizes how the regulations governing a counterintelligence investigation focus on the activity of the foreign power. Yeah, sure. But that’s why the Times story was so explosive. It reported on a counterintelligence investigation of Trump himself, who is obviously not a foreigner, but the duly elected president of the United States. The Times story says that the FBI feared Trump might have been a witting or unwitting agent of the Russians.

It’s an idea almost nobody in mainstream politics will address, other than to hurl the label as a bloody cudgel. I’m talking about opening up America’s borders to everyone who wants to move here.

A University of Georgia teaching assistant who routinely attacks the concept of “whiteness” on social media took it a step further Wednesday when he declared that “some white people may have to die” in order for black people to advance. “Some white people may have to die for black communities to be made whole in this struggle to advance to freedom,” UGA philosophy TA and Ph.D. student Irami Osei-Frimpong wrote in a now-deleted comment on the Overheard at UGA Facebook page, Campus Reform reported. Mr. Osei-Frimpong doubled down on the comment Friday morning on his own Facebook page

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) looked defeated Friday afternoon when reporters confronted her over her outrageous claims Trump endangered her life by cancelling her military flight then allegedly leaked her commercial travel plans. Earlier Friday morning, Pelosi’s spokesman, Drew Hammill accused President Trump of endangering Pelosi’s life by leaking her commercial travel plans. Nancy Pelosi doubled down on those claims when confronted by reporters. “We had the prerogative to travel commercially, and we made plans to do that, until the administration then leaked that we were traveling commercially,” Pelosi told a gaggle of reporters. WASHINGTON—House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Wednesday night she “doesn’t care” if the Secret Service said it was prepared to appropriately secure the State of the Union address despite the partial government shutdown. Instead, she stood firm in her resolve to delay the January 29 event until the government completely re-opens. (Photo) In a letter to President Trump, Pelosi claimed the lack of funds to Homeland Security posed a risk to the White House and the Congress during the event, but the Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen released a statement refuting that. She shared that statement in a

Gillette is doubling down on a controversial new campaign that appears aimed at taking on so-called toxic masculinity — but has created a social media firestorm. The two-minute video from Boston-based razor brand Gillette urges men to act against sexual harassment, misogyny and bullying, asking: “Is this the best a man can get?” While fans are applauding the move, critics say it assumes men need to be steered away from negative tendencies. The ad starts off with audio of news about the #MeToo movement, saying, “We can’t hide from it. It has been going on far too long. We

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews joined the chorus of pundits losing their minds over President Donald Trump cancelling Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Afghanistan — but admitted that the president made the Democrats “look like fools.” President Trump had hilariously cancelled the trip as the Democrats were in a bus on their way to the flight. (Photo) “Let’s talk about the cheap shot part of it. They were in the bus heading to Joint Base Edward — Andrews. He made them look like fools sitting in the capitol at the driveway basically trying to figure out what’s coming next. He caught them in

An ESPN host suggested Wednesday it was racist for President Donald Trump to serve fast food to the Clemson football team at the White House, saying such food being given to players of a "predominately black sport" gave her pause. (Snip)While the players appeared to enjoy the food, some political and sports observers took Trump to task for what they considered a low-class gesture. On the daily ESPN debate show "First Take," panelists Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman discussed the matter, with Smith saying it was a "classless" and "disgraceful" move by Trump.

Deep State: We´ve been saying for some time now that the entire investigation of Donald Trump for "colluding" with the Russians smelled like Deep State sabotage. Now, former associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr has confirmed that´s true. If so, these are criminal acts. The only question is, what do we do now? Both the Justice Department and FBI have maintained they didn´t really know that Trump Dossier compiler Christopher Steele had any bias at all against Trump. And, even when they got their hands on Steele´s unverified dossier on Trump, they claim they didn´t know that S
