Why Aren’t Democrats Walking
Away With the Midterms?

New York Times, by Bret Stephens

Original Article

The night Donald Trump was elected was supposed to be, for most liberals and a few conservatives, the beginning of the end of the world. The economy would surely implode. The U.S. would probably blunder into a catastrophic war. The new American president would be blackmailed into conducting foreign policy as Putin’s poodle. None of that has happened — not yet, at any rate. On Friday, The Wall Street Journal reported the fastest rate of annual wage hikes in almost a decade, depriving Democrats of one of their few strong arguments about the true state

This guy is a perfect example of why the Dems are not winning - projection. What he says of President Trump is what the Dems themselves are guilty of.

Until the Dems fix the projection problem and understand the reality of their policies, they have little hope of winning anything because they portray themselves opposed to the 70%+ of the legal American citizens who make up the ´Deplorables´.

It´s because the dims and what is left of the dim party is morally and politically bankrupt. More importantly, it´s because Divine Intervention brought us a President who exposed the evilness and corruption which is rampant in our federal government. The dim´s secular way to the new world order could not compete against His Word.

Meanwhile, back on earth, all the dims have left is ridicule and hate. Their chickens have come home to roost following 100+ years of failed progressive policies.

Now that the DemocRATs have to deal with a President who will not tolerate their vitriol, they have been forced into revealing their true intentions...Socialism and the ruining of a great country.

I hope a lot of Dems have walked away from this vile party of antisemetic, racist, power hungry, money grabbing deplorables.

What´s funny to me is that the DemocRATs seem so surprised!

Stephens is a proud Never Trumper who seems to have graduated to a Hate Trumper.

Stephens admits Trump´s successes, "at least for now".

But they apparently don´t matter because Trump is talking about "the politics of cultural anxiety, social division or ethnic scaremongering"

"The mystery of Donald Trump is what impels him to overturn the usual rules ... fear is what’s on the Republican menu"

WHAT usual rules? Those of the dems? They have been masters of creating victims and labeling the rest of us deplorables. The rules of the loser elite Republicans who refused to deal with TRUTH and REALITY and lost and lost. They won some elections, but they never dealt with the REAL issues.

The Never Trumpers never deal with the ongoing unraveling of America orchestrated by dems, Leftists and elites. WE have a quite a bit of anxiety and fear relating to what has been happening. Trump isn´t making it up, he is confronting what is really there.

Stephens talks about "moral and institutional corrosion", again, as if Trump has invented it. BO´s government was massively corrupt. There is NO “nice” way to say that just like there is no nice way to deal with the murderer in Pittsburg.

Further, Trump is not driving the conflict, he is responding to it. The media is reporting 92% negatively on Trump, some of their reporting being outrageous. Trump labels them fake news and enemies of the People, WHICH THEY ARE. The media created this war and are fighting it by throwing away all the rules. They have admitted as such.

"The president cannot unite us" because the Left REFUSES to let it happen. Their first response was to absurdly blame Trump just like Stephens continues to blame him for the insane people ranged against him.

Bret Stephens is a NeverTrumper who is outraged at Trump´s uncouth persona, such that he would deliver our precious Republic to Hillary and the Democrats and their mob.

Bret works now for the NY Times, at whose dais sits Sarah Jeong, who describes people like Bret as, d--s f--g white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants.

Nice. Makes you proud, Bret?

On the NYT´s editorial board sits Mara Gay, who says of people the color of Bret, I’m not willing to let white voters off the hook.... they need to move from there to reality, which is we have a white nationalist president who is a threat to American democracy. Regardless of party or policy views, you should put country over party first.

So Bret works for that outfit and kvetches about the rough exterior of our president.

Tell you what. I think Ms Jeong, in the quote above, pegged Stephens pretty well.

Stephens writes: "The tragedy of Pittsburgh illustrates, among other things, that the president cannot unite us, even in our grief."

To him, it´s nothing to do with the media, including his own NYT, and Dem politicians blaming Trump for the killing, constantly and hysterically. Did the Oklahoma City bombing illustrate that Clinton couldn´t unite us, even in our grief? No wonder the rabbi was surprised that Trump was so kind and warm, a side of him the rabbi thought Americans didn´t know about. Well, we knew because we didn´t swallow the media´s portrayal of him. And let´s hope the majority of voters don´t either.

The question should be why aren´t the Republicans walking away with the midterms? It used to be James Carvel´s "It´s the economy stupid!" (actually the economy was doing fairly well but the msm lied for Clinton). But not anymore. The economy today is the best in my lifetime. Now instead of the economy it´s the President. His tweets, he´s not a uniter but a fighter, he punches back, he wants a border wall, he wants to stop illegal aliens, he wants to stop anchor babies, he and Melanie are pro-life how regressive is that, he´s a racist, he´s a white nationalist, he´s says that all media is the enemy of WTP (not really just the fake news media), he doesn´t care about the world, he´s not an enlightened globalist, he only cares about America etc. These are the reasons being given by the msm and NeverTrumpers to vote for Democrats. Never underestimate the power of white guilt and its latest mutation white privilege to vote against a great economy and a great President who loves this country!

The way he describes his crowd as “educated” is SO offputting to tens of millions of smart, hard-working people (most auto-mechanics today have more common sense and can do math and logic better than the “graduates” of these leftwing, easy-subject, liberal indoctrination centers we call colleges; which themselves don’t even require history or civics any more) and in his self-appointed elitism, like all the rest of the NY/DC/LA/Chi/SanFran globalist crowd (Dems and GOPe alike) Stephens cannot see that the rest of us would vote for a dime store manniquin if it meant we could stick it to these media jerks and would-be overlords again.

The fact that Trump has been an AMAZING president fighting like a tiger for us normals hasn’t hurt either!

FTA: "The North American Free Trade Agreement has been saved with minor modifications and a new name."

You haven´t been doing your homework, Bret. See this is what these snobs will never understand. We Deplorables can actually read and think. The USMCA is not just a name change, it is a FUNDAMENTAL change. It closes the "back door" loophole that China and the EU were able to exploit by using cheap overseas material (steel e.g.)and components and then assembling products (cars e.g.)in Mexico and Canada duty free.
That´s why so many companies fled to Mexico and Canada. Now that it´s changed, those jobs are coming back.
Plus new markets have opened up in Canada (dairy e.g.) that were closed to us before.
HUGE difference. Leveled the playing field.
That´s what makes these elitists so annoying. They blithely make statements like the quote above as if it is unquestioned fact and it´s just wrong. I´ll bet he actually believes there were only minor changes to the agreement. Either that or he´s lying through his teeth.
So annoying.

Why aren´t Democrats walking away with midterms? Because people remember 8 years of Obama, what a disaster it was, and see the Democrats doubling down on it becoming even more extreme. Its really ugly.

People don´t want that. What the democrats are doing doesn´t even remotely resemble governing.

On the other hand, what Trump is doing really is governing. He is looking out for Americans. All Americans. He is doing things neither party would do because their hands are tied by their own dirty politics.

Bret Stephens in an illustration of why Republicans were so terrible at governing for so many years. Their NeverTrump narrative is tiresome and false. To think I always believed his columns when he was in Israel for the WSJ. Once here Bret becomes anti-Amercan. Yes, Globalists are anti-American. We are in the middle of a much needed political renaissance of American Nationalism. The entire world is benefiting from Trump and the USA. These NeoCons do much damage to US.

Now is the moment to get out and vote straight Republican and pray the Trump Revolution can continue. Business tax 21%, capital repatriation tax 10%, AMT gone for most people, end of Death Tax, ANWAR, Baraq H. Obama regulations and legacy gone, coal mines opening, steel mills roaring, iron ore mines open In Minnesota, largest producer of petroleum in the world, LNG exports ramping up, trade deals with Mexico, Canada and South Korea with Japan and China to follow the same mold, 4.2-3.5% GDP growth, maximal number of USA workers in history, Paris Agreement, Iran deal, North Korea quiet, Islamic State defeated, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch, 100 lifetime federal judges appointed by the end of 2018, peace and prosperity.

Thank you President Donald J. Trump for these amazing achievements. The sun is shining again over the fruited plain. It is morning in America. Vote accordingly.

So CNN’s Jim Acosta scored some court points with a ruling that orders the White House to give back his press pass, at least for the time being. But he still presents as a smug elitist. He presented as an out-of-touch elitist the day he jerked away from the arm of the reaching White House intern — the day he refused to cede the microphone and cede the floor and cede his time to the many other journalists who were patiently waiting to pose questions to the president. But post-ruling, caught on camera walking from the courthouse,

The race for Governor of Georgia between Republican Brian Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams wasn’t particularly close. Kemp won by 55,000 votes. But since the election, Abrams has tried to position herself for a recount, or something, that might magically erase that impressive margin. Today she gave up, sort of: Stacey Abrams halted her run for Georgia governor Friday, but the Democrat said she would not concede the contest to Republican Brian Kemp and planned to launch a voting rights group to file “major” litigation challenging election policies. There will be no such “major” litigation. What would it challenge?

In other words, every rifle in America.(tweets)Further, he´s warning citizens of nuclear annihilation should people refuse to comply.(tweets)When he was confronted, Swalwell tried to backtrack with some context and further explanation.(tweets)He then pulled the victim card.(tweet)"Gun buyback" is a nice term for confiscation, which Swalwell acknowledged. "Assault rifle" is a politically loaded, misleading term used by the left to demonize semi-automatic rifles. And yes, confiscating millions of privately owned firearms is indeed tyrannical. Democrat Stacey Abrams ended her bid to be Georgia governor late Friday in a speech which she said was not a ´concession´ but an acknowledgment that she cannot win. She said Brian Kemp, the Republican candidate, would win the vote count which was due to be certified at 5 p.m., just as she made the speech. But she ended her bid to be the nation´s first black female governor defiantly saying that she would be suing in federal court over the election´s ´gross mismanagement´, taking a bitter election with claims of racist voter suppression into a new arena.
