´We are hungry!" Migrants wail
at Mexico-Guatemala border

Associated Press, by Sonia Perez D. and Mark Stevenson

TECUN UMAN, Guatemala — A standoff between thousands of Central American migrants trying to reach the United States and Mexican police stretched through the night with some migrants hanging from the closed border gate wailing "there are children here" while others slept on the crowded bridge linking Guatemala to Mexico. (Snip) As night fell on the bridge, the migrants´ frustration turned to despair as women clutching small children took up the rows in front of the gate pleading with the Mexican federal police. Some migrants yelled "We are hungry!" Others wailed that they had children while others set up

Comments:
Let´s see - they drag small children along on a 900 mile trip through rural Mexico, and never thought about food, water, sleeping accommodations, etc... Doesn´t add up.

one lady who supposedly had eight children, brought two with her and left the other six back in Guatemala . . . she is okay with leaving them there when it is so terrible?

Oh, those poor children! Those desperate hungry children!

Someone should find their parents - - and tell them that their children are hungry and wandering about helplessly.

Yes - - contact their parents immediately!

anyone who doesn´t beleive this was a democrat organized event is blind. The only real trasction the dems got over the past 6 or so months was the pics of families being separated at the border...going back to their playbook. Trump should let Mexico know if they allow passage we will shut the southern border which will include the shipping of factory goods from Mexico.

Nobody is "hungry"...it´s simply political theatre.

Now, with this, when will someone pin the rap of "Child Abuse" on this charade, its participants and its organizers? Anyone? That is the most effective way of taking the political steam out of these things...expose them using the left´s verbiage, demand these people (and their organizers) take care of their children rather than expose them to hunger, thirst and many other dangers - basic Alinsky.

Who says walls are stupid and we can just use increased surveillance? Also, the crowds dismantling fences must be hiding people that brought tools. This was a well-planned effort. As for the ´feed me´ argument: anyone that turns themselves in and submits to incarceration and deportment can have food.

The hard line President Trump needs to take should also include remittances south. All remittances to certain countries should be taxed at 50%. Legal taxpayers can claim this on their tax forms and get it back. For illegals, it is a fee for services rendered for staying illegally in a country that they basically burgled their way into.

We´ve been invaded for the past 4 decades; how else to explain that English is a second language for big percentages of school children? It´s absurd. There are 6 billion people on the planet, 3 billion who would or will come here if they think they can get away with it. Compassion is killing us, but the Left is just fine with that. None of the people I saw looked starved. Only I noticed that they were dragging some flag along and singing whatever and fists up? Is that meant to tell us open the border, prepare a buffet, give us beds and showers, we will give you tomorrow our list of demands of what we want and need: Free houses, free cars, free food, free clothing, free to eat in restaurants, actually, FREE everything!

Poster uses the figure of 900 miles. Google says 1178 mi. to McAllen TX, 1864 to El Paso Tx, and if they want Calif entry 2493 t San Diego. Tell me how 3 to 4k people travel that distance before Nov 6 w/o trucks and buses. Using the poster´s 900 mi. figure it´s 18 days at 50 mi per day using the old military walk 50, ride 50 strategy. If half ride while half walk, it would still require 60 trucks at 50 per truck for 3000 people.

Slightly off topic, but FOX News has had Griff Jenkins at McAllen, TX for the last couple of days, watching the border patrol intercept illegal border crossers. He said this morning that 10 people were crossing the river now, and the border patrol was waiting to arrest them. How about firing some shots over their heads- and making them turn around? We don´t want them here. Why should we take them into custody and let them live off of taxpayers until their cases come up? The custodial facilities are full - on purpose (think Cloward-Piven). They are hoping to be released into the American population.

Bottom line: we need to be more aggressive about repelling these leeches. Don´t let them in in the first place! Probably some legal loophole is responsible for this insanity.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Advocates for gender equality are reckoning with what one called a "wonderful challenge" — four or more women running for president in 2020. To many activists, that means a field more reflective of a party that counts women as a crucial voting bloc. But the prospect of multiple women in the race also presents obstacles, with no single candidate holding a claim to women´s votes to the degree Hillary Clinton did in 2016. The women´s vote, and groups that provide financial and grassroots support, could split. Looming over it all is persistent gender bias and the

CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin fretted Friday that many Americans would dismiss the news media as a "bunch of leftist liars" in the wake of the BuzzFeed News story called "not accurate" by special counsel Robert Mueller´s office. BuzzFeed set off a Washington firestorm on Thursday with its report that President Donald Trump had directed longtime lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. However, on Friday night, a spokesman for Mueller´s office said the report was "not accurate."

Country music is the most American of musical idioms, alongside jazz. With a longer history than rock and roll or hip-hop, country has produced a powerful pantheon of memorable artists, albums, and songs. Growing up, I pretended not to like country music, even though it was the music I heard my dad listen to the most (while my mom turned me on to the incredible pop and rock of the ‘60s and ‘70s). Nowadays, I’ve shaken that youthful pretension and will admit to enjoying most types of country’s many subgenres. I also have to admit that compiling a list

Protesters among the Women’s March in Washington, DC, Saturday called for free abortions for all, President Trump’s children to be caged, and for Trump to “drop dead.” The left-wing protesters showed support for feminism, prostitution, transgender issues, and immigration. Many demonstrators also showed serious hatred for the president. “Make America Great Again, and Drop Dead!” one sign read. (Photo) One protester called for Trump’s children to be caged. President Trump outlined a plan to end the government shutdown in a Saturday afternoon address, offering three years of legislative relief for 700,000 DACA recipients — including protection from deportation —and Temporary Protective Status awardees. He also offered $800 million in urgent humanitarian assistance, 75 new immigration teams to reduce the court backlog of 900,000 cases, which he called an ´impossible nightmare,´ in remarks from the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House. In exchange, he said he wants $5.7 billion for the ´strategic deployment of physical barriers, or a wall,´ that he will use to put ´steel barriers in

Should you believe in a God? All the discord and vitriol in our culture boils down to how you would answer. Border walls, gay marriage, abortion, national defense, school choice -- where you stand on these issues and the myriad others comprising our daily tussle is for the most part defined by how you answer this question. Your answer, yeah or nay, draws a very hard line. The professional philosopher John G. Messerly begins with this question in his recent Salon piece, “Religion´s smart-people problem: The shaky intellectual foundations of absolute faith.”

Mueller, the wall impasse, the shutdown, the "postponement" of the SOTU – all are skirmishes in the undeclared war on President Trump waged by Democrats, the Deep State, and the compliant media. A decisive battle will be enjoined if Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies or resigns this year. Nothing scares the left more than the prospect of Trump filling another seat on the SCOTUS with a young, fire-breathing constitutionalist who would join with Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh to form a conservative bloc for the ages. Pelosi and Schumer are praying that Justice Ginsburg survives and remains on the bench until

If someone walks up to you and bangs a drum in your face, are you guilty of harassing the drummer? You might be if you’re white and wearing a MAGA hat. Just a day after rushing to judgment about a BuzzFeed story that claimed President Trump had instructed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress — a story Robert Mueller’s own office subsequently debunked, the blue-checkmark media elite had a new instant narrative to promote. It was a tale perfectly tailored to liberal biases: white Catholic teenagers in MAGA hats had harassed an old and frail Indian veteran during the March

President Trump’s immigration compromise package to end the partial government shutdown drew sharp reactions from Democratic and Republican lawmakers alike. In a televised White House address on Saturday afternoon, Trump offered Democrats a three-year extension of protections for 700,000 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, in exchange for the $5.7 billion he has been seeking for a barrier along the nation´s southern border with Mexico. “Our immigration system should be a source of pride ... not a source of shame as it is all over the world,” Trump said in his plea. The president’s proposal was met with disdain
