Former President Jimmy Carter jumped into the political fray recently over newly confirmed Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh, saying he was “unfit” to be on the Supreme Court. While speaking to a class at Emory College Wednesday Mr. Carter said Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation was a “very serious mistake,” The Emory Wheel reported. He also criticized the Senate for being “subservient” to President Trump. Justice Kavanaugh’s nomination proceedings were derailed after allegations of sexual assault were made by California professor Christine Blasey Ford. You know Jimma you were next to Obama the worst thing that ever happened to this nation. I could throw Bill Clinton in there too but at least he didn´t have that true hatred that Obama had, he was just a hound who couldn´t be house trained. You on the other hand are just a narcissistic egomaniac posing as some do gooder with a hammer. Please go away and do us all a favor and take that money grubber Hillary with you.

Serious mistake Jimmy? It is laughable to be lectured by the one who gave us gas lines, fireside chats with the red sweater telling us to shut the heater, the Community Reinvestment Act that turned into the housing market bubble, the 16.5% interest on mortgages. Also, not to forget that he gave the world the Ayatollah when he turned his back to the Shah of Iran.

Lest we forget:

"Jimmy Carter´s ´Lust in the Heart´ Playboy Interview – 1976"

https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/frenzy/carter.htm

FTA: "Carter admitted in an unsolicited comment to two Playboy freelance writers that he had "looked on a lot of women with lust" and had "committed adultery in my heart many times," strange revelations all the more damaging because they appeared in a soft-porn magazine."

Would the peanut farmer pass muster with the #WETOO movement. Probably. They´ve shown with PIAPS what hypocrites that they are. Period.

I want to thank jimmy c for helping to keep the malicious and unwarranted treatment of Associate Justice Kavanaugh by the Democrat Senators before, during and after the confirmation hearings from leaving the 24-hour news cycle.

With today´s news cycles, stuff gets forever buried (ancient history) in a short period of time. We need the Dems to keep bring up their unmitigated and unwarranted pursuit of personal destruction of Justice Kavanaugh and HIS FAMILY.

Comments from the peanut farmer have to be taken with a grain of Georgia dirt. Carter´s economy was the exact opposite of Trump´s. It was during Jimmy´s time in office that interest rates reached historic highs. 15 to 17% interest on a mortgage loan was not unusual. Unemployment was double digit and climbing. Energy prices skyrocketed with Jimmy telling Americans to turn down the heat in their homes to save energy. It was because of this, that I stayed in college an extra year before trying to find employment. Like Trump´s election, Reagan´s being elected brought the country out of years lone recession.

Communism 101 is now the required brainwashing curriculum starting in Pre-K all the way through Lettered Higher Education, and they have the educators/teachers working overtime to achieve their Communist goals for America and the world with their One World Government of Communism.

They despise hard working, tax paying American citizens. They will gladly toss the rule of law to gain power.

And then they claim compassion. That dog ain’t gonna hunt.

At my age the Navy wouldn´t take me. But with my luck they would have assigned me to the USS Jimmy Carter. Last time I bought a dictionary was 1975. They used to put a section on US presidents at the end and I didn´t want one with him in it. Same for the World Almanac. After his cardigan sweater speech where he asked us to all turn the thermostat down and wear warm clothing I striped naked and turn the thermo up to 85. Billy was smarter.

One man´s "outburst" is another man´s effective defense. We saw both during the Kavanaugh hearing. Kavanaugh had a right to defend himself.

Jimmy was just giving his opinion, and unless he is a US Senator his opinion does not count, as opinions are like noses, everyone has one.

He walked by an elderly woman sitting on a bench by a window, reading a book. The woman glanced up from her book, took a look at Joie´s emotional support animal, shrugged and went back to her book. Today the president is Donald Trump who will do anything to protect himself,” she said.

Kate Steinle’s acquitted killer wants gun conviction

The five-time-deported criminal alien convicted two years ago for being in illegal possession of a firearm — the same firearm that killed San Francisco resident Kate Steinle — has filed an appeal. According to attorney Cliff Gardner, his client José Inez García Zárate’s three year sentence should be overturned because the “momentary possession” of a firearm is not a crime. Zárate has long maintained that the events that transpired on July 1, 2015, and that led to Steinle’s tragic death, were part of an unintentional accident for which he deserves no punishment.

Technically, Elizabeth Warren is “exploring” whether to run for president. For all intents and purposes, she’s running. Now, she’s been joined by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii and former HUD Secretary Julian Castro. Gabbard announced her candidacy yesterday; Castro entered the race today. Gabbard is a bit unorthodox for a Democrat. Her American Conservative Union ratings usually flirt with double digits, which is unusual for a congressional Dem. Her Hawaii colleagues Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz struggle to exceed zero. Conservative Review once gave Gabbard a rating of 20 percent, the same number it gave Lisa Murkowski.

The president is asking for $5.7 billion for the wall and other security measures. That is around $17.50 for the 325 million people who live in America, or around 5 cents per day. Think of all the government fees and taxes that cost way over 5 cents per day that will not save tens of billions of dollars in government expenditures each year because of reduced costs generated by illegal aliens. More than 72,000 people died from drug overdoses in the United States in 2017, and a significant amount of those drugs came through the southern border.

Trump disaster relief cut-off may cost

President Trump´s threat to halt California supplemental disaster funding for wildfire and floods unless "they get their act together" could cost the state $10 billion. Floods from a cyclical wet weather year could be more financially devastating to California than the $27 billion in losses from two years of record-sized wildfires that burned three million acres. California continually slashed necessary infrastructure spending over the last decade in order to achieve constitutionally mandated balanced budgets. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) awarded California the booby prize for the worst state in the nation for its $65-billion infrastructure deficit

With President Trump saying that while he prefers to negotiate with Congress on building a border wall he may still declare a national emergency to make it happen, Sen. Lindsey Graham spoke out Thursday to call on the president to do just that. The Republican senator from South Carolina said that there is no path forward with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refusing to negotiate in good faith and that it is time for Trump “to use emergency powers to fund the construction of a border wall/barrier,” according to a statement released by his office.

Republican Montana Sen. Steve Daines introduced a bill on the Senate floor Thursday that would withhold the pay of members of Congress during future government shutdowns. Daines’s introduction of the bill, sponsored by Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn, comes hours after Daines announced he sent a letter requesting the secretary of the U.S. Senate withhold his pay during the ongoing partial shutdown of the federal government. “Members of Congress are sent to Washington, D.C., to represent the great people of their state and keep the federal government open, working and funded. So it’s simple.

Thanks to a ruling Wednesday by a federal judge appointed to his post nine years ago by President Barack Hussein Obama, disgraced former Broward County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes may soon be back at her job muddling up more elections. U.S. District Judge Mark Walker specifically ruled that newly inaugurated Gov. Ron DeSantis must offer Snipes a “meaningful opportunity to be heard” regarding her suspension. Late last year then-Gov. Rick Scott suspended her for “multiple violations of Florida law, incompetence and neglect of duty.” He announced the suspension roughly two weeks after she submitted her resignation.

Vox dubbed her “the most buzzed-about first-term member of the House of Representatives,” and The Atlantic credited her with an “unusually transparent approach to public relations.” She’s a former Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer and a self-styled democratic socialist. Despite all the fanfare, her recent “60 Minutes” interview with Anderson Cooper shined a bright spotlight on a painful fact: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will make it harder for young women in politics to be taken seriously in the future. In mere minutes, Ocasio-Cortez managed to affirm nearly every negative stereotype about the female sex,

The federal government shutdown has presented a unique opportunity for President Donald Trump to clear out the deadwood in the federal bureaucracy, saving U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars in salaries, perks, and rented office space for people who aren´t doing anything productive. At the same time, Trump can get rid of dozens, possibly even hundreds of Deep State operatives in the government, handpicked by Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for their loyalty to the Democratic Party, not their country or the law. Rove, who served as former President George W. Bush’s top political strategist, was brought in by Senate GOP leaders to speak to the 22 Republican incumbents up for reelection at an all-day planning session Thursday hosted at Nationals Park in southeast Washington,

CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin fretted Friday that many Americans would dismiss the news media as a "bunch of leftist liars" in the wake of the BuzzFeed News story called "not accurate" by special counsel Robert Mueller´s office. BuzzFeed set off a Washington firestorm on Thursday with its report that President Donald Trump had directed longtime lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. However, on Friday night, a spokesman for Mueller´s office said the report was "not accurate."

Country music is the most American of musical idioms, alongside jazz. With a longer history than rock and roll or hip-hop, country has produced a powerful pantheon of memorable artists, albums, and songs. Growing up, I pretended not to like country music, even though it was the music I heard my dad listen to the most (while my mom turned me on to the incredible pop and rock of the ‘60s and ‘70s). Nowadays, I’ve shaken that youthful pretension and will admit to enjoying most types of country’s many subgenres. I also have to admit that compiling a list

Mueller, the wall impasse, the shutdown, the "postponement" of the SOTU – all are skirmishes in the undeclared war on President Trump waged by Democrats, the Deep State, and the compliant media. A decisive battle will be enjoined if Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies or resigns this year. Nothing scares the left more than the prospect of Trump filling another seat on the SCOTUS with a young, fire-breathing constitutionalist who would join with Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh to form a conservative bloc for the ages. Pelosi and Schumer are praying that Justice Ginsburg survives and remains on the bench until

President Trump outlined a plan to end the government shutdown in a Saturday afternoon address, offering three years of legislative relief for 700,000 DACA recipients — including protection from deportation —and Temporary Protective Status awardees. He also offered $800 million in urgent humanitarian assistance, 75 new immigration teams to reduce the court backlog of 900,000 cases, which he called an ´impossible nightmare,´ in remarks from the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House. In exchange, he said he wants $5.7 billion for the ´strategic deployment of physical barriers, or a wall,´ that he will use to put ´steel barriers in

Should you believe in a God? All the discord and vitriol in our culture boils down to how you would answer. Border walls, gay marriage, abortion, national defense, school choice -- where you stand on these issues and the myriad others comprising our daily tussle is for the most part defined by how you answer this question. Your answer, yeah or nay, draws a very hard line. The professional philosopher John G. Messerly begins with this question in his recent Salon piece, “Religion´s smart-people problem: The shaky intellectual foundations of absolute faith.”

If someone walks up to you and bangs a drum in your face, are you guilty of harassing the drummer? You might be if you’re white and wearing a MAGA hat. Just a day after rushing to judgment about a BuzzFeed story that claimed President Trump had instructed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress — a story Robert Mueller’s own office subsequently debunked, the blue-checkmark media elite had a new instant narrative to promote. It was a tale perfectly tailored to liberal biases: white Catholic teenagers in MAGA hats had harassed an old and frail Indian veteran during the March

Critics are pushing back against the portrayal of students from Covington Catholic High School as racist, after a confrontation between the school and a Native American counter-demonstrator at the March for Life on Friday. The headline from the Associated Press at the Hollywood Reporter — repeated in some form by outlets across the country — read: “Students in ‘Make America Great Again’ Hats Mock Native Americans After Washington Rally.” (Snip) Video posted by a group of left-wing activists present showed that the students had been taunted with racial slurs as the incident took place.
