A former Hillary Clinton adviser says
there´s a chance she will run in 2020

The Week, by Brendan Morrow

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 10/19/2018 12:09:30 PM

Ready to go through the 2016 election all over again? Philippe Reines, who worked for Hillary Clinton going back to 2002 and was her senior adviser at the State Department, made the argument to Politico Friday that the former Democratic nominee might actually be the party´s best hope for defeating Trump in 2020. He said no other Democrat has "anywhere near a base of 32 million people," especially not Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) or Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). The party, he feels, shouldn´t dismiss her as a failed candidate because she´s "smarter"

Comments:
Good idea, Hillary. Go for it. Same result of course but this time guess who gets popular vote

It seems everyone is running in 2020. Could it be that they assume that they cannot be arrested for crimes while a candidate?

Ha ha. Can´t wait to see her campaign again with her grating voice, her supercilious, sour face, and her body stiff from that brace up her back. I wonder if they will use a hand truck to move her on to the debate stage...

I´m happy the Democrats have no other prospects with a base her size. Nobody else in the country likes her, including the extreme Lefists who have taken over the Democrat party. No way the Marxists are going to allow her to be the nominee again.

It´s really very simple. To keep the money coming in, she and her grifter husband need to have influence to sell. At least the possibility of influence.

So, she can pretend she has a chance, and get people to throw money their way on the off chance she actually (heaven forbid) gets some power someday.

With his investiture ceremony Thursday, Brett Kavanaugh is finally, formally Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. But the fight over his nomination goes on. The battle is not being fought by Democratic dead-enders who cannot accept that Kavanaugh won confirmation despite the sexual misconduct allegations against him. Instead, the fight is being led by Sen. Charles Grassley, the Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who is still angry at the way those unverified and in some cases evidence-free allegations sidetracked his committee´s work, and nearly the nomination itself.

A talking point has taken hold in the final hours of midterm election campaigning. The economy is booming, the story goes, but President Trump won´t talk about it at his massive rallies, preferring instead to dwell on illegal immigration, the caravan, and "fear." Republicans, locked in tough re-election races, are tearing their hair out, panicked, at Trump´s refusal to emphasize the nation´s economic progress, which is their strongest campaign pitch. It has been speculated that Mitt Romney’s Utah Senate seat could serve as a prelude to another Presidential run. In the most ambitious version of events, he could even challenge Donald Trump in the 2020 primaries, newly legitimized and augmented by his actions in the Capitol Building. This would allow moderate Republicans to reclaim their party’s mantle and unroot alt-right influences. But would Romney do it? His willingness to unequivocally challenge Trump could be seen either as a pro or con by Republicans, depending on their opinions of the sitting president.
