A former Hillary Clinton adviser says
there´s a chance she will run in 2020

The Week, by Brendan Morrow

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 10/19/2018 12:09:30 PM

Ready to go through the 2016 election all over again? Philippe Reines, who worked for Hillary Clinton going back to 2002 and was her senior adviser at the State Department, made the argument to Politico Friday that the former Democratic nominee might actually be the party´s best hope for defeating Trump in 2020. He said no other Democrat has "anywhere near a base of 32 million people," especially not Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) or Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). The party, he feels, shouldn´t dismiss her as a failed candidate because she´s "smarter"

Comments:
Good idea, Hillary. Go for it. Same result of course but this time guess who gets popular vote

It seems everyone is running in 2020. Could it be that they assume that they cannot be arrested for crimes while a candidate?

I´m happy the Democrats have no other prospects with a base her size. Nobody else in the country likes her, including the extreme Lefists who have taken over the Democrat party. No way the Marxists are going to allow her to be the nominee again.

It´s really very simple. To keep the money coming in, she and her grifter husband need to have influence to sell. At least the possibility of influence.

So, she can pretend she has a chance, and get people to throw money their way on the off chance she actually (heaven forbid) gets some power someday.

Government shutdown stories aren’t sexy, everyone can see that. Nevertheless, it is curious that the journalists who most loathe Trump are so willing to distract their audiences from a political crisis which polls show is hurting the President, to focus again on the exhausting Russia conspiracy, which isn’t. This weekend, we saw another flurry of noisy Trump-Russia scoops. The latest allegations feel thinner than usual — yet still they dominated the airwaves and Twitter feeds of media VIPs. On Friday, the New York Times related that the FBI ‘became so concerned’ about Trump’s firing of FBI director James B. Comey

Mayor de Blasio gave his sixth State of the City address Thursday, and he conjured an image of a revolutionary leader prying money from terrified billionaires. That’s because, in a Democratic primary with candidates tracking increasingly leftward, he stands out for the wrong reason: When it comes to governing, de Blasio is more old-school, big-city Democratic pragmatist than new-school, Democratic Socialist. He fears his left flank. De Blasio used to talk about New York as a tale of two cities. Now, he is trying to write a tale for two audiences.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California says a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border would be "immoral." Instead, she favors something she calls a "technological wall." Another top House Democrat, Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, calls it a "smart wall." Instead of building an actual physical barrier of steel, concrete, or some other material, Pelosi, Clyburn, and other Democrats advocate employing an array of high-tech devices — drones, infrared sensors, surveillance cameras, and more — to keep track of activity at the border without physical impediments to discourage illegal crossings.

The company also insisted that complying with the subpoena would violate the law in the firm’s home country.

Los Angeles County has agreed to conduct a purge of its voting rolls, in a move that could strip perhaps 1.5 million inactive voters from the lists of those eligible to cast ballots. The county made the deal in a settlement last week with Judicial Watch, a conservative public interest firm, saying that under a recent Supreme Court ruling, it has a duty to remove names of people who appear to have either died, moved from the county or lost interest in voting. The county committed to mailing hundreds of thousands of voters already deemed inactive
