Hurricane Michael unleashed ‘widespread
catastrophic damage’ at Tyndall Air Force
Base, officials say

Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida, suffered “severe damage” to “the base infrastructure” as a result of getting pummeled by Hurricane Michael, base officials said Thursday. Initial assessments were conducted at the base after the storm, which left Tyndall without power, water and sewer service, an official told Fox News. Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) posted an update on Facebook earlier Thursday, saying that recovery teams had uncovered “widespread catastrophic damage" at the facility. And while inspecting some of the base’s housing locations, teams “found widespread roof damage to nearly every home.” (Tweet) Aerial footage of the destruction

Just an observation.
I have been unable to find any weather station that recorded sustained Cat 1 winds.

In 1992 Homestead AFB was nearly erased by Hurricane Andrew. The only building left serviceable was the Base Hospital.

Because they don´t have power in the area, it would be nice if there was a place for people to put their names if they are okay. No way to check on friends.

Was NEVER a Cat 4. Storm chasers would have died based on where they were. Lived thru Andrew on ground....nope, not even close. Nothing photographed today would have survived Cat 4. Never did those winds hit that level. Cat 2.

I just wish I could find some information on road conditions. I have a house on Hwy 98 between Eastpoint and Carrabelle and I´d like to go see if I have a roof any more. But none of my contacts there are responding to emails and I just can´t find much info online about passibility of roads.

In what some describe as a sensible return to common-sense policies, the Trump administration has reportedly proposed redefining gender/sex as an immutable condition that cannot be altered by whim. In a memo obtained by The New York Times, the Department of Health and Human Services argues that federal agencies should adopt a definition of gender that’s based “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.” Though biological science makes it clear that only two distinct genders exist, the administration of former President Barack Hussein Obama muddied the definition of gender for political purposes. President Trump´s approval rating before the November elections has jumped to a higher level than former President Obama´s ahead of the 2010 midterms, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll. The poll found Trump´s approval rating at its highest level for that poll yet, at 47 percent. Obama´s approval rating was 45 percent around the same time in 2010, according to a similar NBC/Wall Street Journal poll taken in late October 2010. Obama´s approval rating was reaching a record low in October 2010, just before his party lost a significant number of seats in the House and Senate. Trump

This is beyond odd, but here goes. I rise to defend Hillary Clinton. She is under attack and this time, the long knives are wielded by members of her own clan. Suddenly, after two years of indulging Clinton’s blame games and pity parties, lefty pundits say she’s talking too much, she’s stuck in the past, she had her chance and she blew it. Vanity Fair, declaring that she “still hasn’t learned the lessons of #MeToo,” is furious that Clinton said her husband’s Oval Office dalliance with Monica Lewinsky was not an abuse of power

The fact that Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers refused to release the results of her polygraph exam until the day before her testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee last month caused some suspicion. And when we finally got a look at them, a lot of Judge Kavanaugh’s supporters were confirmed in their suspicions. It turned out that Ford’s examiner, former FBI agent Jeremiah Hanafin, only asked her two relevant questions. And that’s not how most folks imagine polygraph exams are supposed to go.
