Climate Change’s Ever-Shifting Goalposts
American Greatness, by Julie Kelly

Original Article

A new report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change offers a timely reminder that much of the Left’s doomsday hysteria can be traced to the modern-day environmental movement. Like Democrats’ dire warnings that everything from tax cuts to net neutrality will result in mass casualties, the climate cabal’s Grim Reaper estimates are not just wrong and constantly changing—they defy reality. Ever since Donald Trump wisely scuttled the meaningless Paris Climate Accord last year, climate alarmists have been desperate to revive the public’s interest in this once-dominant political issue. As concern about climate change has waned,

Comments:
This may be the best article on this subject that I have ever read.

Missing our nightly baseball games, we landed in error on the BBC last night, where a mindless type, posed in front of the ubiquitous bookshelf, was expounding in all seriousness that Hurricane Michael was “evidence” that humans were causing climate change ergo global warming. We didn’t stay around for the punchline.

Weren´t we supposed to be under water by now? Or was it that the country would turn into a desert and we would all starve because the crops would die? It´s hard to keep track of the left´s predictions of doom and gloom that are certain to occur if we don´t keep giving them money and political power.

2 days before Hurricane Michael made landfall the “scientific consensus” e.g. the forecast was it would be a Cat 3 storm. If fact, at landfall it was nearly a Cat 5. Yet we are asked to believe climate estimates based on arbitrary temperature thresholds, imprecise data and decade-long timelines?

If you want to cool the Planet - dump powdered Iron into the oceans. This will cause a plankton bloom and significantly raise the numbers of fish, too.

(When we killed most of the whales, we interupted the natural iron distribution into the oceans from Whale poop.)

One warning: Fertilizing the Oceans with iron, might cause the temperatures to drop too much.

50 years ago we were facing another ´´Ice Age´´. Crops would fail, water would be locked up in ice, millions would die from freezing...

Now, the left hijacked the climate change movement with global warming, which is supposed to be worse than an Ice Age! By the way, the climate does warm between the several Ice Ages Earth has endured.

Those of us who have closely followed the unfolding scandal at the Justice Department— particularly how the FBI abused its power not only to spy on the Trump presidential campaign but also on the president himself—have been frustrated with the inaction both of the White House and Congress. Documents have not been declassified as promised; letters by top lawmakers have gone unanswered with no consequence; and not one perpetrator in the biggest political scandal in history has been held accountable. The New York Times over the weekend confirmed the worst suspicions: Andrew McCabe, (Snip) and his corrupt lackeys opened

The New York Times wants you to believe that President Trump “colluded” with Russian intelligence to swing the 2016 presidential election in his favor. A “breaking” story, released late last week, carried the conclusive headline: “F.B.I. Opened Inquiry Into Whether Trump Was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russia.” But the story is neither conclusive nor accurate. In fact, it elides that which both the president and his supporters have been arguing for nearly three years: the American Left has hijacked (Snip) Apparently, there were two inciting incidents that prompted the FBI to launch a caustic counterintelligence investigation.

Chairman Graham is very happy with the nomination of William Barr as U.S. Attorney General. It would appear purposeful Barr will re-balance the DC interests, and return the DOJ to a more ordinary level of corruption. In this way Barr pushes back the fulcrum tilting the DOJ away from the more violent weaponized lean in the past eight years.

Well, here we are again; another leaked transcript, this time from DOJ Official Bruce Ohr. And as with the prior two transcript leaks, we don’t get the raw information. So let me first, necessarily, reassert our CTH position on these “leaks”. Leaking is bad, period; in all directions. Because *leaking* is simply a method, a mechanism, to direct and control the focus of sunlight upon illicit action. Regardless of whether you support or oppose the message within any individual leak; (Snip) only full and unfiltered information can expose corruption. That means we need the actual raw transcripts

If you wait long enough, the Lawfare actors brazenly expose their intents. Cue the example today as former SDNY U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara showcases the ideology behind the DOJ and FBI weaponizing their offices based on political policy differences. It has been outlined that President Trump would prefer to withdraw the U.S. from NATO. Trump’s view stems from NATO allies (Germany) engaging with NATO adversaries (Russia) with strategic energy policy (gas pipeline) to benefit Russia; while simultaneously demanding the U.S. taxpayer fund the defense of Germany (and EU) from Russia.

Accused Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman once paid a $100 million bribe to former Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, a former associate testified on Tuesday that he previously told U.S. authorities.Alex Cifuentes, who has described himself as Guzman’s onetime right-hand man, discussed the alleged bribe under cross-examination by one of Guzman’s lawyers in Brooklyn federal court. Asked if he told authorities in 2016 that Guzman arranged the bribe, he answered, “That’s right.” Cifuentes testified that he had told U.S. prosecutors Pena Nieto reached out to Guzman first, asking for $250 million.

The consequences for Brexit, as a reality as much as anything, are highly significant. May must now return to the House of Commons within the next week to offer a pathway forward. If she fails to do so, members of Parliament will put forward their own alternatives for a vote. But as a first step, expect May to travel to meet top European Union officials in Brussels. The Fight for $15 isn’t living up to its promise. For years, liberals have claimed that the minimum wage needs to increase to $15 an hour to provide a living wage for full-time workers. The stated goal, as socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders writes on his website, is straightforward, “We must ensure that no full-time worker lives in poverty.” In one way, the campaign has been remarkably successful. California and New York are phasing in a statewide $15 an hour minimum wage. Numerous cities, including Seattle, Minneapolis and Washington D.C., have passed $15 an hour minimum wage
