Stopping ´Catastrophic´ Global
Warming Is Impossible, UN Report
Shows, So What´s The Point?

Investor´s Business Daily, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:RockyTCB, 10/9/2018 7:01:34 AM

Climate Change: Assume for the sake of argument that everything environmentalists say about global warming is true. If that´s the case, then there is no chance of stopping it. That´s what´s the latest UN report on global warming clearly demonstrates. The headlines in stories reporting on the UN´s latest climate change report all say something along the lines of: "Urgent changed is needed to prevent global catastrophe." If global temperatures climb more than 1.5 degrees Celsius — compared with preindustrial temperatures — all hell will break loose, the UN says. There will be catastrophic flooding, drought, more weather extremes.

The point is the UN demanding a 240 dollar per gallon gas tax to feed, clothe and house heads o´ rags "immigrants" by whom Europe allowed itself to be conquered, silly.

It is now 51 degrees on my back porch. We´re loving it. An early winter is much appreciated by folks who suffer 3.5 months of raging 110 deg F days a year. We are accustomed to running from one air conditioner to another in the summer. So, Global Bologna? Who cares? We won´t even notice it.

Joking, of course. Besides, I thought Al Gore predicted the end of the world to take place ten years ago? What´s up with that. I thought the oceans were predicted to rise 3 feet above Tallahassee by now?

If I was as wrong as often as “climate scientists” are, I’d be fired, laughed out of my office building, and told never, ever to come back.

Which, come to think of it, is pretty much what we did to the Warmists and the UN when we hired President Trump.

There never has been a "scientific" point.

As has been clear for a long time, the Alarmists are useful idiots for politicians seeking power and money. The "science" has NEVER been solid and the repeated hysteria only to see repeated deadlines pass with not only no disaster but not even verifiable trends in the direction of possible disaster shows these people have no real clue.

Further, it also has been clear that they have decided that PR is superior to science to force people in the direction they want.

The public is not impressed. "Wolf, wolf, wolf" is no longer believable.

Is There Anything Environmentalists
Won´t Blame On Climate Change?
Investor´s Business Daily, by Staff    Original Article

Climate Change: CNN this week published a huge story saying the source of the migrant caravan wasn´t so much corrupt Central American governments, violence or lousy economic policies. It was climate change. This is just the latest attempt by environmentalists to blame any and all bad news — even acne — on climate change. The CNN story, complete with pictures, videos and charts, claims that climate change is responsible for the drought in parts of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua that forced thousands to flee for the U.S. Well, not "responsible," exactly.

National Public Radio is out begging for donations this week, with major stations like Washington´s WAMU offering gifts like those silly reusable grocery bags touting the "Power of Truth." But the truth can be pretty embarrassing. Apparently, NPR exploits cheap labor. Washington Post media reporter Paul Farhi has revealed that according to union representatives, 20% to 22% of NPR´s 483 union-covered newsroom workforce, or 1 in 5 employees, are temps ... and NPR has been doing this for decades. Budget: In the first two months of the new fiscal year, tax revenues are up. But so is the deficit. Why? Because spending continues to outpace revenues. So why do tax cuts keep getting blamed? The latest monthly budget report from the Congressional Budget Office shows the deficit jumping $102 billion in just the first two months of the new fiscal year. That sure looks like the deficit is "soaring,"

Socialism: After weeks of spreading riots and demonstrations in Paris, socialist French President Emmanuel Macron has had an epiphany or sorts. Not only is he not going to put a new global warming tax on fuel, he´s going to let financially-strapped French families keep more of their money from the taxman. At least this year. Noisy demonstrations all but closed Paris last weekend as thousands again took to the streets to protest Macron´s foolish tax on fuel. He thought he could ram it through, despite growing ground-level opposition. He was wrong.

Media Bias. The mainstream liberal press may have had a "slobbering love affair" with President Obama (as CBS News veteran Bernard Goldberg once aptly put it). But they´re absolutely obsessed with President Trump. Data compiled by Real Clear Politics shows just how bad this Trump obsession is. A fascinating article, "Measuring the Media´s Obsession With Trump," looked at the percentage of airtime the three main cable networks — CNN, MSNBC and Fox News — devoted each day to stories about Trump.

Energy Security: Last week, the U.S. exported more oil than we imported, for the first time in 70-plus years. And it happened not because of decades of federal "energy policies," but despite them. Since Richard Nixon was in the White House, presidents have pushed national energy plans that, they said, would reduce the country´s dependence on foreign oil. These plans all had one thing in common — they all assumed that increased domestic oil production couldn´t solve the problem. Instead, from Nixon on down, Republican and Democratic presidents declared that the only way to achieve energy independence

Un-Free Markets: New York City doesn´t like ride-sharing services. That´s been clear from the start. But recently it´s started taking action on that disdain, imposing burdensome economic restrictions on companies like Uber, Lyft and other ride-sharing companies. New Yorkers will pay dearly for it. New York´s Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) , exercising its extraordinary regulatory power, issued new "rules" this week that would mandate the Uber, Lyft and others pay their drivers a minimum of $17.22 an hour after expenses. That´s an actual per-hour hike to $27.86 an hour.

She has the seed money — there’s $12.5 million ready to go, left from her recent Senate run — and a massive email list she’s amassed over years, boosted by a $3.3 million investment in digital infrastructure and advertising in the last election alone. Her aides have been quietly shopping for presidential campaign headquarters space in the Boston area in recent weeks, according to a source with knowledge of the move. All that’s left is for her to give the green light.
