Senator Hirono Doesn´t Understand ´Corroboration,´

Democratic Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono claimed on Sunday that there was no corroborating evidence to back up Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh´s claim that he never assaulted Christine Blasey Ford and that there was corroborating evidence supporting Ford´s story (Snip) Hirono´s assertion that there was corroborating evidence that supported Ford´s story is false, as prosecutor Rachel Mitchell specifically noted in her 5-page memo on Ford´s testimony. All the witnesses Ford claims exist have "either refuted her allegations or failed to corroborate them." Hirono later suggested that the presumption of innocence should not apply to Kavanaugh because "this

This one is different, she just LOOKS like some hateful, pushy, bullying, person. One who if they don´t get their way become violent.

I wouldn´t trust this person

Why I do not wish ill will upon her family it would be interesting if a male member of her family was accused of gang rape, etc. Wondering if she would feel the same way? Yes, people in her position are dangerous when they do not understand the simple concept of innocent until proven guilty. The cornerstone of America. She needs to be aggressively challenged by those who interview her but that is not going to happen. Our candidates need to mention the rule of law so the citizens understand what the dems want to take from us.

It´s really hard to offer evidence about something that didn´t happen. For instance, there is no corroborating evidence that I have never seen bigfoot. In the instance of Justice Kavanaugh, how can he provide an alibi when his accuser can´t offer date, place, or time?

Hirono´s an attorney. She knows very well that hearsay, 30 years after an alleged event, is entirely different than corroboration. And she also knows that proving a negative (i.e. that Justice (yay!) Kavanaugh didn´t attack Ford) is impossible, especially with no date/time/place specified by the accuser. Therefore, like all the Dem senators, Hirono is weaving a distorted tale designed to mislead listeners. Democrats build their edifices on sand. And glorify flawed false heroes, e.g. Ted Kennedy, Anita Hill, Bill Clinton, Trayvon Martin, Hillary Clinton and now their new queen: Christine Ford.

WASHINGTON — The 2020 Democratic presidential primary, already expected to be the party’s most wide open in decades, has been jostled on the eve of many long-plotted campaign announcements by a political threat that few contenders bothered considering until recently: Will a soon-to-be-former congressman, with an unremarkable legislative record and a Senate campaign loss, upend their best-laid plans? Representative Beto O’Rourke of Texas has emerged as the wild card of the presidential campaign-in-waiting for a Democratic Party that lacks a clear 2020 front-runner. After a star-making turn in his close race against Senator Ted Cruz, Mr. O’Rourke is increasingly serious

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Progressive Democrats are beginning to confront an unintended consequence of their own success: Dilution of the brand. So many Democratic presidential prospects are now claiming the progressive mantle in advance of the 2020 primaries that liberal leaders are trying to institute a measure of ideological quality control, designed to ensure the party ends up with a nominee who meets their exacting standards. Leaders of the Congressional Progressive Caucus are discussing policy platforms that could serve as a litmus test for presidential contenders. Progressive donors, meanwhile, are plotting steps — ranging from closer engagement with campaigns to

DAKAR, Senegal — The second-largest Ebola outbreak in history has spread to a major city in eastern Congo, as health experts worry whether the stock of an experimental vaccine will stand up to the demands of an epidemic with no end in sight. Paris´s Eiffel Tower will close on Saturday over fears of fresh violence during nationwide protests against President Emmanuel Macron, as police urged shops and restaurants on the Champs-Elysees to shut their doors too. Rep. Jerrold Nadler on Sunday said it would be an impeachable offense if it’s proven that President Trump directed former lawyer Michael Cohen to commit felonies. “Whether they are important enough to justify an impeachment is a different question, but certainly they’d be impeachable offenses,” Mr. Nadler, who is in line to chair the House Judiciary Committee next year, said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Even though they were committed before the president became president, they were committed in the service of fraudulently obtaining the office — that would be an impeachable offense,” said Mr. Nadler, New York Democrat.

Retiring House Speaker Paul Ryan is quietly pushing a bill to outsource many thousands of U.S. college graduate jobs to Irish graduates and deliver amnesty to Irish illegals. His Irish-only bill was quietly pushed through the House on November 28 without a recorded vote by legislators. It is now awaiting approval by the U.S. Senate — but the outsourcing and amnesty bill will be blocked if even one U.S. senator privately or publicly notifies GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that he or she will oppose the measure.

The major takeaway from the 40-page sentencing memorandum filed by federal prosecutors Friday for Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney, is this: The president is very likely to be indicted on a charge of violating federal campaign finance laws. It has been obvious for some time that President Trump is the principal subject of the investigation still being conducted by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Cohen earlier pleaded guilty to multiple counts of business and tax fraud, violating campaign finance law, and making false statements to Congress

On Friday morning, comedian Kevin Hart stepped down from hosting this year’s Oscars after 7-year-old homophobic tweets surfaced. By now, debacles such as this are sad and predictable, but this one is also illustrative of the Oscars’ ever-increasing irrelevance. Finding a host for the Oscars has become near-impossible, and until announcing Hart last week, the Academy had been desperate. With little more than two months to go, no other star was willing to sign on. A recent Hollywood Reporter column assailed hosting the Oscars as “a gig that almost no one should want”
