Senator Hirono Doesn´t Understand ´Corroboration,´

Democratic Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono claimed on Sunday that there was no corroborating evidence to back up Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh´s claim that he never assaulted Christine Blasey Ford and that there was corroborating evidence supporting Ford´s story (Snip) Hirono´s assertion that there was corroborating evidence that supported Ford´s story is false, as prosecutor Rachel Mitchell specifically noted in her 5-page memo on Ford´s testimony. All the witnesses Ford claims exist have "either refuted her allegations or failed to corroborate them." Hirono later suggested that the presumption of innocence should not apply to Kavanaugh because "this

This one is different, she just LOOKS like some hateful, pushy, bullying, person. One who if they don´t get their way become violent.

I wouldn´t trust this person

Why I do not wish ill will upon her family it would be interesting if a male member of her family was accused of gang rape, etc. Wondering if she would feel the same way? Yes, people in her position are dangerous when they do not understand the simple concept of innocent until proven guilty. The cornerstone of America. She needs to be aggressively challenged by those who interview her but that is not going to happen. Our candidates need to mention the rule of law so the citizens understand what the dems want to take from us.

Offering up ´witnesses´ who then fail to corroborate is WORSE than no witnesses at all.

It´s really hard to offer evidence about something that didn´t happen. For instance, there is no corroborating evidence that I have never seen bigfoot. In the instance of Justice Kavanaugh, how can he provide an alibi when his accuser can´t offer date, place, or time?

Hirono´s an attorney. She knows very well that hearsay, 30 years after an alleged event, is entirely different than corroboration. And she also knows that proving a negative (i.e. that Justice (yay!) Kavanaugh didn´t attack Ford) is impossible, especially with no date/time/place specified by the accuser. Therefore, like all the Dem senators, Hirono is weaving a distorted tale designed to mislead listeners. Democrats build their edifices on sand. And glorify flawed false heroes, e.g. Ted Kennedy, Anita Hill, Bill Clinton, Trayvon Martin, Hillary Clinton and now their new queen: Christine Ford.

“People of America, please listen to your soul!” That’s Yoko Ono, telling us what to do on her new album Warzone. And what if our soul—collectively, Joseph Campbell-esquely—sounded like Yoko Ono? Which is to say: wizened, innocent, fearlessly strange, offensively artless, and rather peremptory. Warzone finds Ono revisiting and refashioning 13 of her own songs/pieces, from 1970’s “Why” to 2009’s “I’m Alive,” here stripping them down to wiry substructures of piano or guitar, there adding discreet layers of dialed-down freakout courtesy of a crack band of art-rock gnomes. The battle for control of the Senate is looking worse and worse for Democrats, who just a month ago saw a path to the majority but now increasingly look like they could lose more seats and have a smaller minority next year. Democratic hopes for a wave election that would carry them to a significant House majority have been tempered in recent weeks amid a shifting political landscape and a torrent of hard-hitting attack ads from Republicans. Democrats remain favored to win, but GOP leaders believe they can minimize the number of seats they would lose — and, perhaps, find a path to preserving their advantage in the chamber. The tightening, with just over two weeks left, reflects how President Trump’s rising approval rating and the polarizing fight over Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Despite Mexican efforts to stop them at the border, a growing throng of Central American migrants resumed their advance toward the U.S. border early Sunday in southern Mexico. Their numbers swelled to about 5,000 overnight and at first light they set out walking toward the Mexican town of Tapachula, 10 abreast in a line stretching approximately a mile (1.5 kilometers). It was not immediately clear where the additional travelers had materialized from since about 2,000 gathered on the Mexican side Saturday night. And when we finally got a look at them, a lot of Judge Kavanaugh’s supporters were confirmed in their suspicions. It turned out that Ford’s examiner, former FBI agent Jeremiah Hanafin, only asked her two relevant questions. And that’s not how most folks imagine polygraph exams are supposed to go.
