My list of former faves keeps growing
Jewish World Review, by Alicia Colon

I used to be a film junkie and enjoyed many movies with talented stars but now I am so turned off by the antics of these Trump Deranged Syndrome addicted individuals, I´ve sworn off patronizing any of their endeavors. The list of my disenchantment now includes musicians and authors who have chosen to demonstrate the inanity of their political positions based on lies and distortions they have not even bothered to debate thoroughly.

I agree with no longer supporting these jerks with my money. Really wanted to see the new Jack Black movie....not a chance now. I´ll wait for it to show up on late night someday; if then.

I have been asking conservatives and especially Christians this question for the last 10 years. Why should we put one penny into the pocket of entertainers who display open hostility toward and work against everything you believe in? The answer has usually been we, I don´t believe in boycotts or it´s just entertainment or some other lame excuse. I am finally seeing and hearing conservatives starting to say that they will no longer watch movies or listen to music produced by these obnoxious Trump hating leftists. Too bad they did not take a stand 10 years ago. We might not have the completely anti-conservative, anti-Christian, and anti-traditional values entertainment industry that we now have.

My list of former faves includes the FBI who is refusing to release the unredacted documents Trump ordered them to release. The morons in Hollywood can say whatever they want and do whatever they want that merely proves that they are in fact, morons. However, the FBI, CIA, NSA, and DOJ along with the Senate committees can and do utterly destroy innocent people´s lives with absolutely no accountability.

You see, I can choose not to see or hear an entertainer. I cannot get away from the abject corruption and evil inside a government with absolutely NO integrity whatsoever.

If Trump does not immediately fire for cause all the FBI employees who refuse to follow his orders per the Constitution, he´ll be responsible for their corruption as well.

Former faves indeed.

Everyone she mentions and then some. Even the hosts of Grand Tour on Amazon Prime lost me with their swipes at Donald Trump (on and off air) and a particularly unfunny Iraq War joke. All I want to on a car show is super cars in exotic locations, not sneering political digs.

The actors are just the face of the corrupt and ugly Hollywood machine. New talent comes in and their minds are poisoned from the get go. Writers, producers, directors, the whole mess don´t just shove their agenda down the country´s throat, they fund anti-Americanism across the cultural and political landscape.

I can´t imagine they´ll turn things around and treat us with any respect, in turn they´ll get none from me.

Alicia covered my complete list very well. J. K. Rowling was the hardest one to reject after her brilliant work on the Harry Potter stories so I´m going to assume that her money corrupted her and attracted her to the wrong crowd.

Stephen King started sliding left long after he lost his talent and began to write pablum.

I think it´s funny that these people think their opinions mean more than anyone else´s. They are who they are because of talent, looks, and just pure luck. I suspect some are even conservative, but can´t speak out for fear of ruining their careers. Those people are the ones who keep their mouths shut, and you never hear anything from them.

Six years ago, when deranged people were targeting Sarah Palin with their bile because she visited Chick-fil-a, I posted some of their comments on my FB pg along with the link to the Legal Insurrection post where the truly vile insults were listed. A woman, whom I hadn´t seen or talked to since we were little kids, left this comment (which was not edited as I have done): "You die. B-t-h, never want to be associated with you, evermore, b-t-h."

As I said, I had had no contact with her for decades, so I looked her up and learned tha, at that time, she was a lecturer in elementary education in a midwest university.

It helps to never conflate the performance of entertainers, athletes included, and admiration for their work, with admiration for their character.

When entertainers themselves conflate their prowess on stage, court and field with intellectual and philosophical superiority it certainly grates and can cause harm to those who fail to separate their talent in their field with character.

The need to declare one´s "side" is one of the most divisive trends in the country and beyond. It sends the signal that politics belong in the everyday life and rather than simply disagreeing with others they are choosing to disassociate. They are begging us to add them to the former list if we dare disagree.

At least we still have Clint Eastwood.

It has been a pet theory of mine that the only reason that the Left has any devotees outside of those engrossed in identity politics is because their women are easy. Get loose women devoted to your cause and the men will follow, up to an certain age. Note the number of Leftist women that are single well into their 30´s. Thus their slavish devotion to abortion. It´s only a theory, but a lot of it makes sense.

Absolutely agree with Alicia on the Bush family. They took the Clintons to their hearts ("like another son," "my brother from another mother") despite their obvious character flaws, sexual predation and corruption.

I almost wish Heb! had gotten the nomination so that the Bush family could have experienced the public flaying the Clintons would have unleashed on him. All Trump did was call him "low energy Jeb." The Clintons would have destroyed him.

Entertainers seem to believe that they have some magic knowledge of the world that the rest of do not because they are famous. I have always found them in general to be the least educated and the least articulate (when they do not have a script) group in the country. I do not promote boycotting. I just personally do not invest my money in any of them.

I agree with every name the great Alicia mentions! The list would be much shorter if she only named the ones that are still worth watching and, sadly, most would be dead. Like John Wayne, William Powell, Ward Bond, Bogart, Myrna Loy, Olivia de Havilland, etc.

I´d quickly add that the following names Alicia forgot are also all dead to me now: Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fay, Jimmy Kimmel, Cher, George Clooney, John Legend, Whoopie Goldberg (sorry Lucianne for the same last name!), The Oprah, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon, Debra Messing, LeBron James, Ben Stiller, Samuel Jackson, Jennifer Lawrence, Bette Midler, Richard Gere, Johnny Depp, Arnold Schwarzenegger ... I could go on but I won´t. And these are just off the top of my head!

Lastly, the patrician Bush family ... like all snotty and wealthy WASPs ... believe they are to the manor born and therefore like anyone who supports them. Their fondness for the Clintons is directly connected to those grifters helping them in ways we don´t know about. Many people in "high places" often have low-life friends ... just in case they´re needed.

About the only things from Hollywood I will tolerate is Blue Bloods, NCIS, Blacklist and maybe one more. Since getting streaming and a Roku box, I have found a literal world of entertainment out there that is vastly superior to most of Hollywood´s dreck.

The news came out last year about Chinese investors and the Asian market being their target market. Gotta tell you folks that if you are sensing something off about the latest movies you are not imagining it. They no longer make movies aimed at the American market, it is all about the fastest growing market for their stuff. Asia.

But it will come to a screeching halt if the GOP loses control of the House in next month´s midterm elections. For example, over the weekend, NBC News fabricated the lie that President Trump gushed over Confederate General Robert E. Lee. This was a deliberate lie to smear Trump as racist, and it was only corrected by NBC after the lie had run its course. Over the same weekend, CNN crafted its own lie to make Donald Trump Jr. look racist.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned President Donald Trump on Thursday that a future Democratic president could declare a national emergency to achieve an agenda, such as gun control policy. Responding to the president’s announcement that he will declare a national emergency related to the U.S. southern border, Pelosi maintained that “Democratic presidents can declare emergencies as well. So the precedent that the president is setting here is something that should be met with great unease and dismay by the Republicans.” (Photos) Speaker Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference, “You want to talk about a national

It has been two and a half weeks since Jussie Smollett reported that he was the victim of a hate crime, and in that time, his story has fallen apart completely. (snip) the home of the two "persons of interests" in the widely circulated community alert was raided by Chicago police. In that raid, they seized a list of items including multiple containers of bleach, a "red hat," an Empire script, a Mossberg rifle, and two computers. The home is occupied by the two men, and at least one is an extra on Jussie Smollett´s show, Empire.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, my first full day on the job as acting director of the FBI, I sat down with senior staff involved in the Russia case—the investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. As the meeting began, my secretary relayed a message that the White House was calling. The president himself was on the line. I had spoken with him the night before, in the Oval Office, when he told me he had fired James Comey. A call like this was highly unusual. Presidents do not, typically, call FBI directors.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Thursday celebrated Amazon´s decision to cancel its plans to build a second headquarters in New York City. "Today was the day a group of dedicated, everyday New Yorkers & their neighbors defeated Amazon’s corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world," Ocasio-Cortez, one of the deal´s staunchest critics, wrote. (Tweet) Her statement came shortly after Amazon in a blog post announced that it was canceling its plan to build offices, dubbed "HQ2," in Queens, citing pushback from "a number of state and local politicians." President Donald Trump demanded Wednesday evening that the State of California return $3.5 billion in federal funds after Gov. Gavin Newsom canceled most of the state’s high-speed rail project, saying it was too expensive. “California has been forced to cancel the massive bullet train project after having spent and wasted many billions of dollars,” the president tweeted. “They owe the Federal Government three and a half billion dollars. We want that money back now. Whole project is a “green” disaster!”

I first wrote this article for American Thinker the first day after Jussie Smollett’s alleged attack where I expressed some of my own skepticism about the event. (snip) Perhaps life imitates art and could give insight into Smollett’s ulterior motives. His own music video that he performed in and directed in March of 2017 called “F.U.W.”, has the imagery of a black man standing under a noose. Right after appears a man in a Donald Trump mask standing behind the T.V. actor. The song and accompanying music video are essentially just liberal porn

The GOP Majority Leader in the Senate persuaded President Donald Trump to not veto the GOP’s flawed border security bill by promising to back a national emergency construction of border walls, according to insider leaks to the establishment media. The Washington Post reported that “Trump had been leaning against supporting the congressional spending bill but relented after several conversations with [Majority Leader Sen. Mitch] McConnell, who then announced his agreement to go along with an emergency declaration.” One reason for Trump’s last-minute opposition is that congressional leaders conducted the negotiations without significant White House involvement.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld launched a presidential exploratory committee in New Hampshire Friday, making him the first Republican officially eying a longshot GOP primary challenge to President Donald Trump. “I’m here because I think our country is in grave peril,” Weld said at an announcement at a “Politics and Eggs” breakfast in New Hampshire, a frequent stop for presidential candidates. “I cannot sit quietly on the sidelines any longer.” "We cannot sit passively as our precious democracy slips quietly into darkness," he said. Weld, who served as governor in the Bay State from 1991 to 1997, was the Libertarian Party

WASHINGTON— What is happening to the Democrats? Captivated by a handful of liberal superstars, they are venturing where the party has long feared to tread: Steep taxes on the rich. Abolishing an immigration enforcement agency. Proposing "economic transformation" to combat climate change. Gleefully waving goodbye to a big business — and its jobs. On Thursday, newly-elected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez led a chorus of cheers as Amazon announced it was abandoning plans to build a sought-after headquarters in New York City. Activists berated the online giant for a $3 billion package of tax breaks she said the city could better invest

Washington — Millions of Americans are waiting for Robert Mueller to give them the final word on whether the Trump campaign conspired with the 2016 Russian election interference effort — and whether their president is under the influence of a foreign adversary. Millions of Americans may be sorely disappointed. Unless Mueller files a detailed indictment charging members of the Trump campaign with conspiring with Russia, the public may never learn the full scope of what Mueller and his team has found — including potentially scandalous behavior that doesn´t amount to a provable crime.

Andrew McCabe is a national disgrace. He was part of the most corrupt and most partisan leadership team in FBI history and was fired for being dishonest under oath. And yet, America owes him a big thank-you. McCabe, you see, has reminded us once again that there really is a powerful deep state, and that there has not been a full accounting of rampant FBI misconduct during the presidential campaign of 2016. There is also still too much we don’t know about the role top aides to then-President Barack Obama and higher-ups in the Justice Department

Move over, Speaker Pelosi, and make room for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill deBlasio as Democrats waking up to the disaster the rise of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is inflicting on the Democratic Party. She is no longer just a potential threat to their schemes and operating principles, she has taken a wrecking ball to them. Trust me: they desperately want to be rid of her but, due to her media presence and popularity with the young and ignorant, cannot visibly stick the shiv in her back.
