The State Board of Education in Texas voted on Friday to eliminate several historical figures, including Hillary Clinton and Helen Keller, from the state’s social studies curriculum. Barbara Cargill, a Texas Republican and member of the board, told The Dallas Morning News that "the recommendation to eliminate Helen Keller and Hillary Clinton was made by [Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills] work groups.” “However the board did vote to agree with the work groups´ recommendations,” Cargill pointed out. "In speaking to teachers and testifiers, they did not mention these specific deletions." The decision made by the 15-member body reportedly came

I´m sorry, first women nominated by a major political party for the highest office, secretary of state and first lady. I think you keep the old witch. Helen Keller too. How can you say the first deaf-blind person to achieve a college degree isn´t historic. It´s an amazing, inspirational story. Who are they leaving in?

On the other hand,Hillary had to practice her entire life to be able to erase the memory of all of her crimes.
So , she definitely worked harder.

Helen Keller is currently one of those names that is deeply embedded into our culture. A household name is another term - even after a century. They continue to make movies about her.

OTOH, HRC should be only deeply embedded in SuperMax. If she were part the Chinese political culture, she and all of her relations would have been "erased" in every sense of the word.

You can remove things from the curriculum - that doesn´t remove them from history. When history is hidden it tends to reappear with exaggeration and conspiracy theory. I am not in favor of "flawed, out of touch Hillary" being replaced with "Saint Hillary protector of

The numbers: Household and nonprofit net worth rose by $2.19 trillion in the second quarter, the Federal Reserve announced Thursday. That represents a seasonally adjusted annual rise of 2.1% to $106.93 trillion, driven in part by gains in the stock market as well as in the value of real estate. What happened: As the economic cycle grows older — and as the real estate sector bemoans a lack of available homes that has driven up house prices — household net worth continues to gain. It’s important to stress that the Fed report doesn’t represent the experience for the typical

Shocking. Humiliating. Just plain not great. That´s how Democrats describe losing a long-held South Texas state Senate seat to upstart conservative Pete Flores on Tuesday night. The Republican win was historic, the first GOP victory there since just after the Civil War, but the implications stretch far beyond the district. (Snip) The Texas Democratic Party blamed Gov. As I´ve said many times over, I do not know whether Brett Kavanaugh´s accuser is acting in good or bad faith, nor does virtually anyone else. She could be lying. He could be lying. Or they could both be telling what they firmly believe to be the truth, based on an array of faulty, hazy or false memories. What matters now is how we assess the available evidence, of which there is precious little. Earlier, I laid out my own attempt at erecting some reasonable, if imperfect, metrics for doing just that. An allegation of a sexual assault and a take-it-or-leave it offer to the accuser to testify ASAP have opened a new partisan divide and thrown the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, which had seemed to be on a glide path, into chaos.
