Wait, That Allegation Sat on Dianne
Feinstein’s Desk Since Late July?

Making the click-through worthwhile: Senator Dianne Feinstein promises a vague bombshell and Ronan Farrow fills in the details; Mr. Nanny State himself is allegedly running for president; and Democrats say they expect to see another old, familiar face return to the campaign trail in 2020. The FBI Tip Line Has to Deal with a Lot of Cranks Yesterday afternoon, California senator Dianne Feinstein said she referred unspecified information about Brett Kavanaugh to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but refused to offer any specifics. By Thursday night, reports suggested the information was wildly vague.

Anita Hill tried to do this. She didn´t want to have her name made public and she certainly didn´t want to be part of the judicial hearings. But, you don´t get to dangle the allegations anonomously in this situation.

According to David Brock´s book, Hill was forced to fabricate and enlarge on her accusations against Thomas and we all know what happened next.

Diana Feinstein should retire today.

Two teen boys at a party locked a girl in a room from which she exited by another way. My goodness this or horrible.

The spin is in the words. The girl is called a woman, the fact that she was a female brings in the sexual innuendo.

Show me you high school behavior records please.

Rumor is that Judge Kavanaugh is being accused of giving his prom date a hickey!! Fortunately for him there is NO evidence left to connect him to this crime.

Are some people worried about the health of Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Stephen Breyer or something?

If one of the 4 goes down the Capital police will have to set up interlocking fields of fire against the nut jobs storing the Senate.
While the GOP will have to station snipers with tranquilizer rifles to knock out the hysterical dems on the committee.
Do you think I´m wrong?

A lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has alleged Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when the two of them were in high school, said in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee that Blasey is willing to testify before lawmakers as soon as next week, but ruled out Monday, the date the committee had scheduled for a hearing. In an email to committee staffers obtained by CBS News, Ford´s lawyer Debra Katz wrote that Ford "wishes to testify, provided that we can agree on terms that are fair and which ensure her safety.

Christine Blasey Ford has either developed a case of cold feet or she’s playing footsie with the Democrats. Neither one of those options is useful if she wants to stop Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. (Snip)But she made the choice to reveal her identity, knowing that it would upend her life. Now, she needs to tell her story to the people who will decide whether Brett Kavanaugh ascends to the Supreme Court -- the members of the United States Senate.

When Republican incumbent U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and his Democratic opponent Beto O’Rourke face off in their first debate Friday, watch as two long-winded politicians struggle for brevity. This past weekend, a reporter asked Cruz a simple question about Hurricane Harvey. His answer lasted three minutes, fifty-seven seconds—which is forever on television. O’Rourke recently used three minutes, thirty-eight seconds to give his defense of National Football League players taking a knee during the national anthem as a protest to police violence against blacks.

On MSNBC Tuesday, Hillary Clinton weighed in on the sexual assault accusation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh that allegedly occurred 35 years ago when he was in high school, arguing that "we should give the benefit of the doubt to the court and the country" rather than continuing with the confirmation process as scheduled. Her comments were met with fierce backlash from critics, including the woman whose accusation of rape against Clinton´s husband was notoriously not given "the benefit of the doubt" by Democrats. Asked by host Rachel Maddow if Democrats should play the kind of "hardball" Republicans played

If you haven´t already, feel free to read my fairly extended thoughts on the allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. There is essentially no way of discerning whether the accuser is telling the truth, is lying, or is advancing a claim based on hazy memories that have potentially been altered or augmented over the course of three-plus decades. But here we are. The accusation is now public, and the dilemma has now become determining the most reasonable, fair, and useful course of action as we forge forward. The 27-year-old “Anita Hill” strategy of digging for dirt on a Supreme Court nominee didn’t work with Clarence Thomas back in 1991. But desperate times for liberals call for desperate measures. Just as with Anita Hill, no doubt it took a concentrated effort of importuning by a host of liberal Senate staffers and interest-group partisans to wrest from another college professor a last-minute allegation of sexual misbehavior designed to sink a Supreme Court appointment at the eleventh hour. Christine Blasey Ford, a 51-year-old professor at Palo Alto University in California, has confirmed to the Washington Post her account

This was a week of gloomy midterm polls for the Republican Party, with a wave of results projecting a Democratic takeover of the House and maybe even the Senate. But not all polls are created equal. If Republicans bother to read just one, it should be a yet-unreleased survey that tells a more nuanced story. The data come courtesy of the Club for Growth, a conservative outfit that plays to win. The club’s donors expect it to place smart bets in elections, which it can’t do if it relies on feel-good data. It uses WPAi, the data firm

The simple truth is now out there. Ted Cruz’s reelection as a Republican U.S. Senator is in trouble because a lot of people think he’s a jerk. OK, so they don’t use that word in polling. But one recent survey found 41 percent of Texas’s registered voters have a negative opinion of Cruz, while another put his unfavorable rating at 42 percent. The worst of the surveys, a recent Emerson College poll, found Cruz upside down with a 38 percent positive rating and an unfavorable rating of 44 percent—jumping to 57 percent unfavorable among self-identified independent voters.

Long before Bork became a verb, long before Clarence Thomas was dragged through the mud because a conservative black man proved a profound threat to Democrats, the party held fast to the notion of decency.
